[Q] Any way to replace internal memory card? - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello.
My phone has hardware broken internal memory card (not software corrupted). And I am wondering - is there possibility to replace internal memory card? Anyone has disassembled the phone to take out this memory chip?

U can download the script from romtoolblx pro which turns the external sd to be read as internal sd by the phone thats the only solution i can think of

pm me if you want the solution....

Thanks. Already solved - the chip is glued on, so needs to be unglued then reballed.

can anyone tell me if internal memory of the phone ( where the recovery, rom , bootscreen and so on ) is located in MoviNand piece of hardware on the motherboard ?

how to reflash my sd card system?
i mean by removing the whole system and change with a new one
you can format the internal sd card. other than that i dont think there is any other option.
may need a trip down to the local samsung centre
is this software or hardware problems?
most likely a hardware fault, did it happen at a particular time ?? like flashing a custom ROM or was you on stock when it happened ?

Is it safe to swap internal to external?

Basically my notes massively screwed, 250mb of memory left i can get it repaired if i brick it again under warranty but would i be able to swap all the files to an external memory card or would i need to create new partitions or anything? i would just rather keep my phone than have to wait on it getting fixed cheers
250 mb is almost useless, get it repaired dude !
What do you mean " would i be able to swap all the files to an external memory card or would i need to create new partitions or anything?"
When you get your Note back it'll be as good as new with all data wiped and you'll be able to do whatever you could do with it the first time you got it.
Do u mean to transfer some app to the external memory?
Try app2sd. Or link2sd. Both helps

hey what happened? why a huge memory loss on you Gnote?
some apps are compatible or can be transfer to your external memory using application App2sd.
You can use a back up instead through Titanium back up pro. And also for a secondary base back up files to your external_sd card. And don't wait before getting it repaired. Earlier the better.

[Q] Internal SD card...

Does someone here know if internal sd card is a normal micro sd??? It can be replaced??
This is because the internal sd of my captivate is corupted, so i guess i need to replace it, so it is easy to do it???
Thanks in advance...
I've seen many posts here from people trying to flash a ROM to their external sd because the internal one was broken or inaccessible. I believe the internal is a soldered chip and not replaceable. So if yours is broken, you can't use that one but it is possible to use an external sd as system. Search xda should give pointers.

Have you tried Directory Bind yet? This is my favorite solution for this kind of problem.

No I do not.
Because I thought that is for move my apps from sd to ext_sd ?
I want to permanently replace ext_memory on internal memory, I want to do it once for all new apps from store immediately instal on my 32 GB card. Can I do it with Directory Bind?
I'm looking something like :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2143206
I try to edit Vold.fstab, but it does not work maybe I do something wrong
Edit:
I'm on clear, new rom now and I want to replace memory but I see DirectoryBind is the only way for me
