Hi All,
I got the above error when trying to perform market update for following applications:
1) Fring
2) N1 Torch Light
However, I still have 55% left for my internal memory and 58% for my SD memory. The strange thing is I still can download and install new apps.
My phone is rooted with latest CyanogenMod installed. I think the problem only started today after I had done the below:
1) Download a "build.prop" and push to my phone
2) This item claims to improve the HSDPA speed
3) After installed and tested no different
4) Then I extracted the "build.prop" from Cyanogen zip file and push back to my phone
I'm not sure whether this problem is related to the above but my other function is working fine. I even tried to reboot my phone and still same problem :-(
Same problem here on both bakedgoods 1.1 and desire a16 just started happening today. Same apps as well.

Same issue happened to me. Solved it by uninstalling both fring and n1 torch and then installing the new version... Works after that...

Yours also happened to Fring and N1 torch? I just wonder will it happen to others apps as well (which needed to update too) and I don't think is a good idea to always need uninstall and install again
happening on 5.0.4.1 with torch. for kicks I uninstalled another app and tried to update torch again. no luck.
completely uninstalling torch and then installing the new version solved my problem.
There was no way I was out of space seeing as I have a 2gb partition on my sd card for apps

2gb?? Damn, man. Well, that's a definitive indication you're in NO WAY out of space (I hope). I've run into this problem too. An uninstall/reinstall always fixes it for me, as well. But the other day it happened with RDC by xtralogic. Now, that's no N1 Torch in terms of setup, so I just backed-up the currently installed (old) version via Titanium...then: Market>RDC>Uninstall>Reinstall>Titanium>Restore>RemoteDesktop>Data Only
Worked like a charm.
Mine just started doing this with Nimbuzz and Smart Keyboard Pro...
All I did was install a fresh CM 5.0.5.1 (Full wipe) and then did a Tittanium app backup..
EDIT Unistall / reinstall and all is fine...
Turn on the app2sd from the 'Settings - applications - apps2sd'

Yeah I got the error and for kicks, increased my partition from 512->2gb and still got the error
That error is misleading, it happens or certain apps only.
To update: uninstall and then install those apps.
Has anyone found a fix that doesn't require uninstalling and reinstalling the app? For the most part, that works fine, but for one of my games, I lose all my progress if I do this. I've tried backing the game up via Titanium backup, uninstalling, installing the new version, then restoring data only from Titanium, but that just seems to make the new version crash back to Launcher every time I try to start it. Starts just fine if I don't restore the data, but then I lose all my progress.
The game actually runs fine for me on the version I have installed, so I don't really need to update, but it gets a little old having the market constantly telling me that I should update it.

Back it up with titanium back up. Uninstall it. Reinstall from Market. Then use Titanium Backup to restore data only for that app.
Happening with the latest shake them all. Sadly, the 30 seconds I spent setting it up has to be repeated

As mentioned, I've tried that. For some reason, restoring the data from the previous version causes the new version to crash on start up every time.
This thread really helped me. Do we know if Google is looking into this problem/bug?

I try it and now i can install App from Market. Thank you.

The same usually works for me
I tend to get this problem after doing a app restore using Titanium
Not quite sure what specifically does it though!
I tried doing a logcat when getting this message but tbh I wasn't sure what I was looking for! :S
First off, this is not my fix and I take no credit for it - I am just passing it on. Many thanks to xguntherc for posting the original fix, and KorbenD for pointing me in the right direction on Titanium Backup.
Their posts, as a reference:

I will summarize the Titanium Backup solution, as that's the one I had gotten to work. The non-TB solution did not work for me, but still relevant as some people have gotten it to work in cm:
- Get a copy of Titanium Backup and sideload it (free version is fine). http://matrixrewriter.com/android/
- Make sure the Market is working with your Google ID, of course.
- Go into Settings -- Applications -- Manage Applications and Force Stop both the Market and Google Services Frameworks apps.
- In Titanium Backup, go into "Backup/Restore", look for "Google Services Framework 2.2", click on it and then choose "Wipe Data". Then go back to the home screen.
- Run the Market app. You should get an error (that's a good thing, as that's what we want. If you don't get an error, re-try the steps above until you do).
- Reboot, and wait at least a minute after the OS is up to let things stabilize.
- Run the Market again. You should see an immediate difference.
EDIT: You might have to do one more reboot to get apps to actually download and install. I had this issue, but it might have just been me.
I tested this on TnT 1.02, but keep in mind that my TnT is further modded so results may vary. Good luck!
It worked!!! Thanks a million my friend for posting this.
Works on Zpad 1106
Working very nicely on v1 build of the zpad clean V1.0 Thanks this is great!
Updated apps!!! rockplayer is now working he he.... I'm like a kid in a candy store Nice find man
Works perfect on 6.1 beta!!! Thanks!
This doesn't seem to work on a rooted stock g-tablet. I also tried the Titanium Backup method, but no luck. It does give me the Market terms of use on first run.
You guys are going to force me to use a modded firmware! I still want to wait and see what ViewSonic/Flextronics comes out with for an update.

Seems this device may steal a lot of the Archos 101's thunder for mid to higher end Android users, since easy to root and a LOT more powerful. Apparently both devices have the same display too. Need to see the Archos 101 in "person" to confirm this, but Youtube vids show the same weak angles.
Talk about irony. Archos talks smack and is a month and a half late (even later for 2.2), only to be beat to and in channels by a device with no smack talk. Ironic.

Did you start Market after each reboot? Or did you just reboot three times.
OTA: Using the vanilla post over the air update to... 2638(?) I think?
Tried Market everytime. And each time it came with error screen.
Last one came populated
Hope it helps
I don't seem to be able to get the desired results, no matter how many times I reboot.
If the ViewSonic update doesn't give a decent market, I will reset the device and start over. I'm still not convinced that I need to install a custom ROM.

The Viewsonic update is going to be a device reset, for all intents and purposes - that's why I'm not making any mods until that comes out.

I'm using this fix on stock, rooted G Tab & it is working great. I followed the video in the thread to flush the cache and all is up and running.
Is my Titanium Backup not installed properly? (first time ever trying to use it, I'm a total n00b on all of this) I get to Backup/Restore, but don't see any sort of Google Framework entry. Is there something I need to run first?

I sideloaded Market, didn't use the TNT/gapps loader. So perhaps that's my problem. (Though I don't see any apps listed in Titanium Backup/Restore. Maybe it has something to do with the error I get about "BusyBox works but the 'su' command does not elevate to root" when I open it.)
(Can't do the YouTube Market fix, either, because I have no option in the TnT Settings / Applications to Clear Data--only Clear Cache is there)
I imagine I'll be going to TNTlite pretty soon, but I was waiting for the OTA for.... no particular reason, really.
Thanks.
This worked great for me using tntlite 2.0, but this step "- Go into Settings -- Applications -- Manage Applications and Force Stop both the Market and Google Services Frameworks apps." the manage applications buttton was missing.. the actual button I used was System Applications.. otherwise the instructions worked. also be patient when you are wiping data in titanium backup, after hitting the button it does take a while before it will show a popup saying "data wipe complete"
After doing the 1.3 update and root, TB is no longer finding apps. Not even the ones currently installed on the Nook. Was there something I missed or is it something that needs to be fixed in TB?

I'm having this problem too with a fresh download of TB free. All I get is an "Overview" screen, and it won't do anything useful after that. There are no apps shown. Using a ManualNootered 1.3. Tried rebooting a couple of times. When launched, I get a confirmation message saying Superuser privilege granted, so it's apparently not that.
Hello everyone. I know I'm a noob, but am hoping I can get some help anyway. Tried searching and not too many people are having the same problem, so I started a new thread.
Anyway, I used the one click root found in this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1348557
( I tried to post in that thread, but can't since I don't have 10 posts )
I'm new to hacking and I'll be honest. I only wanted to root my phone so I could use wireless tether, and then use Titanium Backup to freeze a lot of the bloatware on the phone. I have no desire to install a different ROM. I'm happy with the one it has, and happy to take the updates Verizon pushes. Everything was good until the latest update came through. When it downloaded, and rebooted, instead of updating, it booted in clockwork mod recovery. No matter what I tried, I couldn't get the update to go through.
So I settled on never updating again and froze the updater to prevent my phone from trying to update and going to CMR at random times. About 4 days later, my bluetooth quit working. Couldn't figure out why. Thought I was going to have to send it in for warranty work, so I tried to undo all the mods. I unfroze everything, and then hit the one click unroot button. It said it worked. Problem is, superuser is still installed with no way to uninstall.
My first question is this: How do I get superuser gone so my phone can be back to factory so they'll never know it was rooted?
Next I tried to go ahead and get the update since the unrooting process was supposed to have reinstalled stock recovery. Well, it didn't. I still ended up booting up into CMR again. STILL can't update even after unrooting. Double checked, and wireless tether and Titanium backup both say "no root". On a whim, I try the blue tooth and guess what. It worked. May not need to send the phone off for warranty work after all.
So my second question is this: Would freezing the updater cause the blue tooth to stop working? If so, how can I either keep it working or stop the updates without freezing the updater? It's like I have to choose between having blue tooth or having my phone randomly boot into CMR whenever it tries to update.
Third question, pertaining specifically to the one click root I linked to above: How can I get rid of the CMR? Is it possible to root the phone without installing CMR? If I can get it unrooted back to factory ( without superuser or CMR ), how can I root it again so that it doesn't install CMR and keeps the stock one?
I know this is a lot of question and I'm a noob, but I'm a noob willing to learn. If this problem has been encountered before, I apologize in advnace for not finding the appropriate thread. I tried.
updater app
Yes freezing the software update app will cause your Bluetooth to stop working. I used a app called Gemini app manager to go change the permissions of the software update app so it did not have any permissions to do anything. I have not been bothered with update prompts since.

There's no need. MTMichaelson has come up with a easy way to keep your phone rooted during the upgrade from ZV7 to ZV8.

Yes it will. Several people have reported this in different threads. I'm not sure of a way around this, but I think others might have a way around it. If you follow MT's method to keep root during the upgrade, you want have to worry about it!

There's no need to do this either since you can keep root and upgrade.
Here's what you need to do.
1) Go here and root your phone again.
2) Go here to upgrade to ZV8 while keeping root. There's also a method for reinstalling CWM as the upgrade will remove it.
This will: keep your root, get you upgraded, fix your bluetooth and keep CWM.
Good luck!

How did you change permissions in Gemini? I turned off all the autorun features and was able to get Bluetooth working but I didn't see anything about permissions in the settings. I could have missed it though being at work and all. Will turning off all the autorun features of the Software Update app stop it from trying to download the update in the middle of the night when I'm not looking like it sounds like it should?
In gemeni select block app. It's the same as freezing in titanium backup.

I have a Nexus 6 64GB running Android 5.0.1 (LRX22C) - I have a problem where I will get disconnected from Wifi - or sometimes when getting to home / work when it tries to join the network it will say there is an "authentication problem". If I go into the Wifi settings and connect again it always works.
I also have a Nexus 5 using Android 5.0.1 and don't have this problem - anyone else having this problem / know of a fix for Nexus 6?
Thanks!
I only see this just after finishing a Titanium Backup.

After restoring from a Titanium Backup? I haven't restored from a Titanium Backup. I do run backups using Titanium Backup.
I tried doing a factory reset, but that didn't help.
I am rooted, decrypted, but not running a ROM (stock 5.0.1) - I did need to fastboot flash the 5.0.1 image to get from 5.0 to 5.0.1. The problem existed in 5.0 for me as well - but upgrading to 5.0.1 did not fix it. I ran the factory reset after upgrading to 5.0.1 didn't fix the problem - and it didn't help.
I do let Google restore my apps from their cloud backup when I sign in during the initial setup.
I've experienced the same issues on my nexus 5 for weeks now since the update to lollipop, I have tracked it to the scheduled nightly titanium backup that i run on my device. Previously wifi has failed nightly on my device.
To prove this then while connected to home wifi perform a manual backup through tb of the yellow (xml) system->Wifi access points and you'll watch you'll WiFi drop and then fail with the authentication error as the backup competes.
This obviously needs reporting to tb devs not Google, as I've done previously.
I plan to use a tasker script to restart wifi following the nightly tb back up and then separately sync the backup to Google using an additional tb scheduled task.
Thanks! I realize now what Skripka was trying to say with his post. This is definitely part of the problem - I'm not sure if this is entirely the problem as I see the "Authentication problem" when a Titanium Backup is not running. For example when I get to work, I will notice I am not connected to Wifi and when I look at the Wifi settings I see the "Authentication problem" - but when I try to reconnect it connects immediately. The same has happened when I arrive home.
I did submit a support ticket for Titanium Backup to see if they can fix the problem on their end.

You're completely right the issue is described here

Looks an android OS issue which can be triggered by tb, although that post provides a work around for tb backups to avoid this issue

In the meantime, I excluded the wifi profiles from my scheduled Titanium Backup so that will help a little bit at least.

Rooted, unencrypted, stock Rom, running latest Franco kernel.
I only TB backup weekly.
Has the WiFi automatic connection failure been directly linked to TB or is there another thread with more recent findings?
Thanks and apologies if this is not the proper etiquette.
