X8 running MiniCM7 2.1.9 with nAa kernal-11
Camera
First access to camera since boot, it shows blank with camera framework there.
If i exit and return back to camera, the screen is now complete blank without camera framework. There saw once i got "Could not conect to camera" error.
Charging
Charge when phone is turned off, screen appreads with battery charging image. If i press on/off button to boot up rom, it stops charging(shown in settings>about phone>phonestatus) but my LED notification shows constant red.
Battery icon shows 0%
Sometimes after boot up it discharge at 18% and after sometime(i dont know how long or maybe it keeps on repeating) the phone restarts. and turn to 0%
Could it be virus? Cause my SDcard folders' name start to change to weird symbols.
Or because i dropped my phone on the floor?

Forgot to mention, i reinstalled 5-6 times the rom.
But havent data wipe.
Will the data cause these issues??
After i fix my sdcard, now the phone can be charged, but camera still dont work.
Do u have any partitions on ur SD card?that MIGHT have caused the camera issue.

no, 1 partition, FAT32, i didnt do anything to partition before this problem.
And now again the charging problem came, after i reinstall the rom.
Dont forget u need to factory reset after installing,it will only remove the stuff on ur phone not the memory card, anyway u can install em back
EDIT:Wait if i remember correctly,i used to use minicm7.2.x and after u install the kernel and rom u ALSO need to install gapps.zip files by flashing them with CWM,u better double check with the guys over at minicm thread .used to have charging problems cuz i forgot to install gapps.zip as adviced by them.
EDIT2:Yup u need to install gapps (google apps) there is a link there for you to download it,all u need to do is follow all the instruction given and it will be fine.

did you try to revert back to Stock ROM and Kernel?
if the problems gone, i think that's not a hardware problem..
do you have somekind like travel charger? you can charge your battery if your phone won't charge..

did you try different charger? maybe the problem is in your charger,
Listen here, its IMPORTANT to install gapps if u havent alrdy.
Step 1 flash kernel
Step 2 reboot to CWM then factory reset (full wipe) MAKE SURE U DO THIS.
Step 3 install rom minicm7.2.1.x and then gapps
Step 4 reboot,takes 2 ~ minutes
GAPPS is a VITAL Step it has nothing to do with ur charger nor hardware.
Edit:i know i might not be an x8 user anymore, but i had that problem because i didnt read the instructions propely.
Edit2: im using a apple wall charger and it works fine, charging my Xperia Neo V.

maybe, but first time i unlock bootloader, and use minicm7, no problem at all.
and there's some problem with battery now. Overnight 100% will become 0 %
I think its because malfunctioning camera keep running background, let me try to freeze it and see the result.

Hey guys, since i flashed CM10 and/or V30I KU5900 i have some problems with USB Debugging, i cannot use QtADB, or flash the CWM for example .
All drivers are installed but it just doesn't show up D:
Any suggestions?
Thanks for your Help .
In cm10 change your mode from MTP to camera. So just pull down the topbar, find the USB option there, while plugged to USB, open it, change it to Camera, unplug USB, plug in again and that's it.
For KU5900 repack, I cant tell you, but it should work similar. Dont forget to enable usb debugging in settings

Well, it looks like it's working as USB Transfer on CM10 with CWM Flash but QtADB doesn't seen to work
I can't download the newest version of QtADB, i don't know why, it just doesn't connect, so i'm using the 0.7.3 version .
If you can mirror it i'd be glad

first of all, try rebooting into recovery(cwm)
if you can't, download an app called quickboot or titanium backup
from your pc, download the sd card fix from the thread
with that, reboot into recovery
wipe data, cache, dalvik
then re-install the rom
afterwards install the sdcard fix

Do you mean you cant power the device ON ?
What happens when you connect usb cable ? Does anything light up, Does your computer 'beep' to notify you of a connected device ?
Have you took battery out and reinserted ? or just left it to charge for around 10 mins before trying to power on ?
Also, What ROM + Kernel were you on before you did the wipes in recovery ?
Ahh yes, in my panic i miss typed.
O cant power on i have tried taking the battery out etc. but with no luck.
I just plugged it into my laptop pc and not a thing
I was on stock ICS (uk) and i don't think i changed the kernel either
I had just rooted and did the super user thing
I also probably didnt fully install CMW as i ran the CWM.zip from external sd from recovery each time.

You can Revive your phone with a pit file like me. I bricked mine with the same way as you. Check this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26285877&postcount=12
Thanks but I don't know if that will work as i can't get the phone to power on (as far as i can tell) and it doesn't seem to do anything when i plug it into the laptop.
No ping no beep.
It had about 60% power left when i did it so it has juice.
I am thinking might have to take it to carphonewhorehouse and tell them i was just doing a factory reset cos it had slowed down with all the apps and it reset while doing it and now won't turn on?

in this ERA of auto-root kernels, people still using CWM.zip...
probably should have just read some stickies. but too late...
if there is no response from the device, the pits are not going to work. only way is to get a replacement motherboard under warranty,
and as the device is non responsive.. they will not be able to detect anything about root.
Good Luck
Yeah i did some reading, but clearly not in the right place
back to the shop it goes. If you have a guide that you could point me to to get this doen the correct way then that would be much appreciated (if and whn i get a working replacement)
Thanks

when you get the phone check what rom its on. just update to the latest ICS rom..(donot wipe).
download philz kernel for the rom you have updated to.
put it in the sd card
boot into recovery
and apply update from ext storage.> point to the kernel > install
thats it. your phone gets rooted, safe kernel and CWM inbuilt.
now you can follow the procedure in the CM10 rom to install. (The Safe Way)
Thanks!
I have just got back from CPW where the nice lady said that it looks like a hardware fault given what i had described so she is sending it off to be either mobo replaced o plain replaced.
I have emailed myself your guide and will look into it if and when i get it back.
Thanks !

k, so and JB roms are getting stuck at boot huh.
what i would do:
I'd say
->fire up Odin, flash a kernel that includes CWM. (dunno what kernel youve been using, but lets start all over)
->Reboot -> reboot into (cwm) recovery, and flash the superuser (SU) package again.
#-If all that succeeded (you are now properly rooted);
->in CWM make a backup.
->flash a CM 10.1 kernel
->flash any JB (4.2) rom.
#-Once all that succeeded, reboot.
->If your JB rom loads succesfully hopefully youll see your device charging.
->If not, reboot into recovery again, make sure your device has been plugged in long enough to have loaded the battery (maybe not shown in stats).
-> in CWM choose Clear battery stats.
Thats what i'd do.

I bought a new charger today and my phone is charging Thanks
So I think I may have hard (or Soft) bricked my HTC one, I recently installed faux123's sense kernel: m7-faux123-GE444-016u and was experiencing several crashes and problems so I re flashed the elementalx kernel (A past WORKING configuration) following all the same steps I normally do when installing a new kernel (clearing cache and my devlick [Not sure how to spell it])
After re flashing I was experiencing boot issues where my phone wouldn't make it past the "HTC" Splash screen, so I tried several times re flashing ElementalX with different settings, after several tries i decided to restore from a recently made backup of my ROM, which gave me the same results as installing the ElementalX kernel... no ability to boot. Then out of frustration I decided to reformat my entire /sdcard thinking I could re flash my roms and kernels via usb and my laptop... until I went into fast boot... turns out I have ac mode locked (A kernel setting I set awhile back when experimenting) so now my phone is stuck in clockwork mod recovery and I'm unable to make any changes via ADB commands or Fast Boot.
So basically what I'm asking is if my phone is completely screwed over, and if there is any way of removing the AC Charging lock, without flashing a new kernel or booting (Since I did a full SD wipe, all my backups and roms, and kernels are gone) and if I will have to send my phone in to get it repaired
UPDATE: so I noticed some basic functions of the phone work, pressing the volume up and down keys eventually cause the phone to viberate, as if the phone is vibrating when it goes into silent mode, the backlight turns on and off when the power button is pressed quickly, what is going on, any ideas?? is the phone running properly and i just cant see it??
Final Update: So I got Everything working and I am now able to flash a new rom and everything on my phone... the way it was fixed was by use of the OTG cable, After leaving my phone running a little while The usb Mounted with absolutely no trouble I used the reccommended roms and it installed with no issues, now that I have a running backup I am now going to install the roms I used before all the issues arose, thank you for all your help!! you guys saved me a trip to a repair center, and also spending for a new phone Cheers!

ummm lol oops, can you post your fastboot getvar all please, is that even possible ? then we can see if we can find an RUU for you to run through your phone.
EDIT, just saw you cant make any changes via fastboot or adb, my bad, my first question to you is why would you enable an option like that ?, I could suggest you get a USB OTG cable and stick a custom rom on it then plug it into the phone and from recovery flash it, problem is, most custom roms require twrp recovery and you have cwm.
you could send your phone in for repair, but im guessing your bootloader is unlocked and unfortunately, this voids warranty and you'll have to pay for any repairs.

Thanks for your response! (im a newbie, as you probably already know)
about the Force AC issue: I foolishly enabled it when i was customizing my kernel not knowing that it would give me this much trouble, and the effects it'd give.
if I got a OTG cable would that work? or would it go into AC mode? What if i got the sense venom rom and installed it on CWM? that's what I used before and it worked quite well. i am going to town now to buy a OTG cable ill be back and ill let you know how it goes, I think this may work... Finally a slight gleam of hope for my HTC One

Finally a slight gleam of hope for my HTC One

that rom will just bootloop, it requires twrp recovery.
you could try and put CM11 on a usb stick, plug the usb stick into one end of the OTG cable (on the go cable) and the other into your phone, boot into cwm and then select install from OTG, I think CM roms require CWM, cant promise anything, but worth a try.
normally you would beable to put stock rom.zip on the otg cable and flash that, but it requires a locked or re-locked bootloader, and that's not going to be possible without a fastboot command.
another option that springs to mind, is put the kernel you originally flashed on the OTG cable, install it in CWM, im guessing the option to enable force AC was enabled during install ? just disable it and continue with the kernel flash, after a reboot you may get fastboot USB, easy to fix once you get that.

I second the idea of the USB OTG, I use mine all the time.
this Older version of ARHD should work fine with cwm

I use mine all the time too, mainly for backup's though, I have a 8gb USB stick pretty much full of backup's
OK So i got an OTG cable and now I am preparing to download the required roms and everything onto the USB, the only question i have is if the usb will work with the current (AC only) power settings, or will it not work? *Sigh* this is so frusterating
EDIT: soo... the OTG cable does not work from what it appears, I just cannot figure out a way to mount it with CWM, any ideas?

only one way to find out, with the phone in the bootloader, plug in the USB OTG cable now and see if it turns to fastboot host ?
if not, don't worry just yet, you'll still need to see if it works in recovery or not.

when you select install, does it not give you an option to choose between internal storage and USB OTG ?

unfortunately I think its lost, theres only a couple more things you could possibly try, one is to riffbox it, you should beable to get this done at a little back street mobile phone shop or although its not a hard brick, you could try this, not sure if it will work on your device, but if it does it will re-write your partitions.

ok, the only problem is that it requires a usb connection, and that's my problem, it changes to AC power when it gets plugged into any powered device via usb... see I know i could fix my problem if it were not for the damn kernel settings I made a long while ago, like It still works, I just can't access the internal SD card

sadly I was just watching the same video, I have no options to open the OTG external sd cards, anywhere, I am genuinely mystified by this

still nothing... but i did find something interesting, when it reboots and it passes the HTC splash screen the screen goes black like it should, but the USB light turns on and it flashes like its supposed to (No Light when in recovery), and also the power buttons turns on and off the backlight, and the volume buttons turns seems to make the mute single vibration when it is pressed down enough times. very strange
edit: when doing the unlocking gesture it seems my phone is working! volume presses makes the default beep, holding power buttons makes a quick vibration like when the power menu appears... do you think my phone IS working its just the kernel that is messed up? and is not allowing my screen to function correctly?
