We have a problem with a Galaxy Ace phone. It keeps cutting out on calls. It can take various amounts of time to cut out.
Sometimes it is within a minute sometimes longer but it happens on most calls.
At first it was Stock, now it has stock Lite V6 rom on it.
Any ideas of why it might keep cutting out?
Tim.
Did you press the power button ?
Does the screen turn off when you place it in your ear ?

Do you think it might just be your service provider?
Check proxymity sensor, it is ok or not. If you answer call then screen become dark then proxymity sensor ok.
Try answer call using loudspeaker, if still drop call then problem on signal receiving. Check S/n gsm signal during answering call, still in loudspeaker mode.
Try disable 3g during call/answer, Maybe problems too.
Try to change telco/another ace (your friend ace, offcourse), still have problem ?
What else ?

I have tried two different SIM's (albeit from same provider). Not really in the telco's interest to be cutting off calls from their end.

i have only back cover from phone, no additional cover
yeah remove that as well and make a call
If it's not hardware related as nokiamodeln91 is figuring out, try a different modem:

Well I think initially choose a newer one, they've made improvements step by step, hopefully you just had a bad flash. Work it from there.

one more thing yet. how to solve weak wifi connection. My S2 had full connection, with this I have max 20-30 % I think, it can be solved by another radio?
So with 4.2.2 are you guys facing a problem with call quality? I can't hear a dam thing on a phone call. The Voice is muffled and it crackles too.
What do you guys think?

Yup, ARHD 10.0. Dirty flash from 9.4. The call quality isn't great.
Is there a way to check if HD calling is actually working? It is in the build.prop!

No idea. Anyone any clue on this?
I have noticed that if you have a background breeze or it is windy the call quality drops massively. It is reproducible by blowing on the mic near the camera... Ear piece goes very odd (breaks up/drops out) after that, recovers quickly though. The same doesn't happen if you blow the bottom mike!
Okay this issue has become really annoying. I dont think its the hardware but anyone facing this issue resolved it? The callers voice keeps fluctuating and times it just goes off. Sometimes if i dont hold the phone very close to my cheek the callers cant even hear me.
Yea this is really annoying. Tried loads of different ROMs and call quality remains terrible, all muffled and unclear. Way worse than my old Desire HD.
Anyone?

Have you tried to flash a new radio ?

Thanks for the post! I already had the same radio installed but I re-flashed it using this anyway. I tested the call quality once again, it's difficult to tell but there does seem to be some improvement, but it still doesn't sound as good as previous phones, or "crystal clear" like it should be according to many people. I will have to wait until I get a chance to properly test out a full conversation tomorrow and see if the voice is clearer.
Thanks again!
Has anyone else tried flashing this radio?

I did test the radio for like two calls. It seems like there is an improvement but I need some more time to evaluate. The microphone is the same if I don't stick the phone to my cheek people can't hear me properly. They say it feels like I'm talking from 10 feet away.

I found this YouTube review.
Sorry I can't post links, being a new user! But search "HTC One In-depth Review And User Experience" into YouTube, it's the video by Uoobe Vid, and skip to 13:06
This is how mine now sounds after the radio update. Is it not really as clear as it should be for a high-spec phone or is it just me? Calls are clearer on my friend's LG and cousins iPhone 5.
It has definately improved from before though.

Arzin, have you tried switch to speaker phone and back to handset a call? I've never had this, people have always said they can hear me fine, clear as normal. It could be the noise canceling at the back mistaking your voice for background noise when you don't hold the phone to your cheek.
My mobile makes a sound like tshshsh when I using it I didn't know why ?? any one could help me please ??
Sent from my GT-I9001 using Tapatalk
what?
What "tshshsh" mean? Maybe ur phone fell into the water and speaker breaks? Try flash anew rom.
No my mobile didn't fell into water , my mobile make a strange sound when I click on any icon or when I click on power button the sound happened and a few seconds the sound disappear

It would be good, if you could record the sound. It really would help in finding the cause of the problem.
Better tell us wich rom your device is running!

So my best friend just got a Nexus 6 not too long ago, but seems to be facing an issue where all Music/Sound starts playing loud when you first start it but after a few seconds the volume becomes very low. We have flashed custom roms as well as used stock and still face the issue. We have searched the forum threads and cant seem to find anything that fixes it.
Any help would be appreciated.
I had this issue and replaced it no problem. This motorola qc is really bad

Hi,
@VeryCrushed , @Tsoflyyup
I have the same problem, Can you try to connect the charger and see if the problem persists? My phone seems to have this problem when the charger is not connected and the battery has a low level.
I had the same problem. However, as soon as i use any custom kernel everything is fixed.

I don't have that issue. If I did , I would look for a bluetooth device that isn't working correctly . Also , would look at how I hold my phone to my ear while on a call, could it be my cheek, or a finger accidentally touching the speaker icon.
That's where I would start , hope it helps a little bit.

Ok, now that I think about it , my gear s3 triggers speakerphone once in a blue moon. Hasn't happened in awhile , so I would try experimenting with the bluetooth on and off to see if you can isolate when it happens. The gear s3 can still connect via wifi.
