I'm rooted with Broken Out thanks to MT. what are some of the must have apps? What is the popular file explorer? Which ones have you found to work the best on the Revo?
Sent from my VS910 4G using XDA
I use ES File Explorer and Rom Toolbox Pro.
I use root explorer but everybody has a different taste
I use titanium backup pro, scriptmanager, set cpu, and terminal emulator.

ROM toolbox. It has file viewer, terminal emulator, and script reader all built in.
--My REVO is Broken, tweaked, SC'd, and TB'd. Just awesome!
Go launcher, go sms, and go contacts with a nice theme are great together.... also recently discovered widget locker which is really cool

is it newer than the .zip on AnderWebs page. If so can i just install from the market or do i have to delete the .zip installed launcher first?
PS: Can you please edit the title of the post like "ADW.Launcher for Donut now available on market"
ADW Launcher's version is currently at 7.8 and it is a stand alone app now. Meaning you cannot update it via Market any more.
worse thing to ever happen to sense creators and every launcher repacement creator. Sucks it's not in the market anymore though. I thought my phone was messed up.
i have idea. Go to market then press search and write home replacement and u will find it.good luck

Hello all. My wife asked me to install a home screen on her LG revolution. She likes ADW but misses the 'in touch ' widget when she changes the home launcher app. It seems to only work with the factory home screen. She likes to have quick access to her music, videos, and pictures. Are there any other alternatives? I am having a hard time finding even a generic name for it. Thanks.

Tried this, didn't show up in the list of widgets. Also, it will not install. Tried changing the permissions and still no go.
Flash ReHomed and you will have all stock widgets that can run on any launcher, plus LGHome is an improved version.

My friend showed this to me today...It works on his Droid X, but obviously that doesn't mean anything for the Revo.
https://market.android.com/details?id=com.jrummy.liberty.toolbox&hl=en
The feature list is massive; it's literally every root tool imaginable in one app. It's too much to hope that this will work, really.
Abbreviated List:
ROM Manager
App Manager
Root File Browser
Ad Blocker
Apps2SD
Font Installer
Boot Animation Installer
Battery Icon Changer
Boot Logo Changer
CPU Manager
Build.prop Tweaks
Auto Memory Manager
SD Boost
Sysctl Tweaks
At least some of these probably work?
I'm about two beers into the night right now...Give me about four more and I'll probably be able to tell you which features break your phone.
Been using jrummy16's root tools app for awhile. Decided to try his rom toolbox tonite. Great app! Bought the paid version, worth the $5 for the boot animations alone.

I haven't tried everything yet. The only thing that won't work is the theme chooser, I guess a need CM7 for that, and probably the ROM manager.

For the theme chooser... It's not cm7 it needs... It's the Tmobile theme engine... Which some aosp roms have built in.. Like cm7, simply stunning, liquid... That type
We have nothing to feat but running out of beer

Hi guys I didn't see anything about this yet in the forums so I was wondering ... since I have my phone rooted I can uninstall the unwanted apps .... I was thinking of uninstalling the original home screen and replacing with golauncher. Is this worth doing .. I need any pros and cons you guys can come up with ....so far I haven't been too successful with roms ... thanks

It's definitely worth switching in my opinion there's absolutely no down side, the stock launcher sucks and most others are customizable. Go launchers pretty good, I like adw better but it's all about what you prefer. Be careful if deleting stock apps they can be trouble if they're not deodexed.

I have noticed that while browsing through root file manager you can find the apks of the stock apps .....I'll look into it a little ... I deleted bing and was able to reinstall it that way .... I wonder if I could do the same with stock launcher if needed

I would freeze the stock home not uninstall it just in case you needed to get it back.

Good idea I didn't think about that ... so what about battery you think it'll still drain like crazy ... and sometimes launchers lag a little more than stock launchers?

I've tried a ton of launchers, if you want one that's quick and light on your battery i'd go with zeam launcher. Adw is more customizable and still very fast, go launcher felt a little slower to me but still a good option, launcher pro is okay but in my opinion slower than the others. You should try a few out until you find one that works for you...

I would say yes replace the stock launcher but don't uninstall it. If any issues arise with go launcher you need thestock one to be there

+1 for Zeam!
I've tried dozens including Go but I always, always come back to Zeam. I like mine clean and fast and Zeam delivers.
If you want themes then definitely give Go a shot. TONS of devs on that one. And I wouldn't worry about battery. I keep Go installed so I can use Go Locker and have never had issues. /t
