Hi all,
I'm unhappy with the ICS photo gallery widget - when I select 'random photo' for the widget that allows you to swipe through your photos, it's not TRULY RANDOM. It seems to sequentially pick every 10-ish photo as a rule.
I prefer a random assortment of photos (more fun) - does anybody know of a photo gallery widget that will do that?
Thanks!
Another question - quickpic has always been laggy for me.. Scrolling Between photos or especially when selecting a photo and it zooms in to full screen... Noticeable lag. Any fix or anybody else experiencing?

there are many apps available on Play store.. just get the best one which you like.. everyone has their preferences.. hope you agree..!!
BTW.. i am happy with ICS stock one..
I use Just Pictures and it works fine for me on GB. I like it because i can see all of my photos from the phone, my Facebook albums, picasa and deviant art all in one place. It also supports a bunch of other online services like Flickr etc. too.

Are there any alternatives to gallery? I really don't like gallery app on the N1 it's just so clunky and slow and annoying to me
Had the same problem and found justpictures which I like so far as it's fast and easy.

Hah. That seems to be opposite of me. I'm loving the gallery app though.
Even though the app consistently have a bug upon opening but I love the preview of the catalogs. Have you found all the goodness of the stock gallery though?

I have been using the "I'm Feeling Lucky" feature in the picasa client, and recently started to use that same feature on Google+ picture editing also. This makes my photo which I taken from my NS looks a lot better than the one I uploaded to FB!
Are there any apps that can do the same thing? Or provide simple features like auto color and auto contrast?
It will be nice if the app can be accessed via "Share" and share out again also. So I don't have to use that app to take photos.
Alright, I will try to write one myself.
There are many apps like Picasso with a community.
I prefer and use Molome. There are some other apps e.g. Snapbucket, Lightbox, Path ....
If you want to have an app without a community to edit photos only I use Color Touch Effects

Thanks! This is sort of what I am looking for, "without community", though the effects I am interested in "Auto Contrast" is quite hard to access, requiring clicks and flicks.
Still not really satisfied with the Color Touch app which requires me to fling quite a distance before I could get to the Auto Contrast feature, I just published an app that makes it a lot easier to do what I wanted to.
Check it out in my signature.
I am also looking for a simple tool that can apply an auto contrast/luminosity to a picture.
The same that the desktop version of picasa does with the "feel lucky" button.
I tried a lot of (free) apps, and for the moment the one that suits best is MAGIX camera MX.
But it does very much more than I want, and also installs a new camera app...
Does anyone know a light app that could do that ?
Thanks
Another one is photo lab effects you may try that aswell

I miss my gallery from the d1.
actually having albums and stuff rather than this... everything in one bit... it's kind of annoying in my opinion I could see some people liking it just not really well done for my tastes...
SO I was wondering what are some of your guy's top apps for photo galleries
Thanks!
Quickpic.
It's free and add free. It's also very fast and has some very nice features.
I just got QuickPic the other day. I didn't transfer old pics from my other phone because it had a gallery like the stock Droid 3 one and after about 900 pics that **** just freezed the hell out of my phone.
I totally agree with Seirÿu, the Album is good and bad at the same time. Not having the ability to browse by folders is really annoying. I use the latest version of Gallery 3d instead, Quickpic's presentation is not "stock" enough. I don't like it... they should change the Icon and rename it to "Gallery".
the first thing i did when i got this phone was find a different app, gallery 3d in the app market by rayman50 is the stock gallery found in droid 1 and droid x, works great for me and ive never looked back to that junk motoblur one
Is version 1.1.30682 the latest version available of Cooliris Gallery 3D?
That's the version I have

zomg how i've missed you so D1 gallery!!!! <3<3<3
thank you guys!
yup! i use quickpic as well
I just installed the previous stock gallery and hid the D3 gallery using launcher pro. don't want to remove it just yet since there is no sbf. Prolly wouldn't hurt anything, but not willing to risk it.

I like quickpic slightly better than Gallery3D in that if you have a lot of pictures it seems to index them faster.
(also recommend setting the sort to: by date descending)
Just my 2 cents.
Has Gallery 3D been renamed? I am not finding it in the market.
Here u go, newest versions.

I accidentally deleted Photo Wall 1.0 and is wondering what does it actually do? Is it safe to remove?
I checked SGS2 app list and couldn't find any info on this app.
Many thanks in advance
It's a wallpaper shuffling app for desktop screen saver similar to live wallpaper. Nothing harm happens but you cannot use pictures stored in your gallery as live wallpaper.
If you need that app you can PM your ID coz I don't know how to upload the apk file in xda app..

thanks, my stock live wallpaper works fine after removal. so I guess only user wallpaper stored in gallery is affected. now, can I still use them as fixed background or I lose the ability of appoint my own wallpaper all together?

And you haven't got it listed under the S2 app list because this Live Wallpaper is stock in Galaxy Note. It doesn't come pre installed in S2
Cheers! Enjoy your Note.
Hit thanks if it helped!
Very curious as I love to set my own pictures and I know they have to be a decent size but I'm having trouble. Seems like pictures I set as wallpaper look great but then afew mins later it turns all huge and uglier.
Would love to know if their are great apps for the note. Cheers

Wallpapers Bay for Tablet FTW!!!
Ive had the same problem before I think.. on some roms.. that the walpaper isn't set to the size shown when selecting it, not even when using crop tool. It zoom in a lot! .. but for me the size became normal again, as croped, after reboot.. Have you tried to reboot when it happens? =) Those issues happened on my phone on some roms while using gallery app to set a background.

I use wallbase, picspeed and zedge. And i will rate wallbase as best. We can download wallpapers of any resolution. And the next best is picspeed because it gives wallpapers that fits to your mobile resolution, and zedge works the same way, but for Galaxy Note it has very few wallpapers while browsing through the app.
