can you get into download mode?
And do you have a JIG?
Try flashing stock rom via Odin and factory reset and start all over again
reply

Hello guys.
I flashed the galaxy S on Odin with no files attached.
Now the phone will not respond at all. I have tried everything but, there is no lights or reaction as ever. Is this fixable?
I have ordered a JIG but i doent have to much expectations.
Regards Morten
It doesn't even turn on? Try taking the battery out for a few minutes.
Yes thats correct. It happend after flash.
Starting to think if the battery stopped working.
There is no sign of life at all.
The battery was fully charged.
Have tried your suggestion. With no luck.
Edit: Hmm, i have tested the battery now and it shows 4 volt between + and -.
So that shouldnt be the problem.

Yes I know it was stupid. I had a PIT file connected.
And didnt know what i was doing. I couldnt dream of
the program would flash over bootloader.
But i learned and have to pay the price for it.
You can fix it with usb Jig or there is a tutorial for Captive that you can use on your phone and put it in download mode. I think for that you jave to install linux, hemindail and java. Also, you will need to install android sdk for adb reboot recovery command Search the forum, the fix is already there

Take out battery and hold 3 button combo for download mode. Than insert battery and it should throw u to downloading.
How is it possible to flash nothing? Doesn't odin warn you if you got "nothing"?
Should be fixed in next ver.
Download Mode "bricked"
Hi,
My Download Mode is working (3 buttons function), but the Win7 isn`t recognizing as Odin...(I`ve already tried to resolve USB drivers troubles but I think that is not the right option...other Samsung Androids are working weel)
So I am not able to flash anything trough Odin...and the CWM 3.0 show me many "E: unknown moun/ storage"...it`s impossible to restore or install an update.zip for example.
What can I do?
Hi,
got a bit of an emergency here. Maybe someone got a useful hint for me?
I've been running X-Power 3.0 ROM with Perseus kernel 32.1 so far and just finished undervolting the kernel via SetCPU - ROM booted up fine afterwards.
But today I decided to give Perseus 33 a try, and after flashing the TAR with ODIN mobile my phone won't boot again - it shows the "Galaxy S III" screen, blanks the screen again and then restarts again - I can't get the phone into recovery or download mode
Any hints on how to solve this one?
try pulling the battery out and trying to get into download again. I'd that doesn't work, you have to get a usb jig, that has a small chance of working.

Thanks for helping. I somehow got into recovery in between, but I can't tell why - AFAIK I did it all the same way times and again before, but now I was able to restore a CWM backup :good:
Try using TWRP recovery:

Hello,
I had the same problem with another device. What me helped was:
1. Using a USB-Jig - then Downloadmode went on on its own
2. Flasing CWM- Recovery (with Odin)
3. AFTER THAT put out Battery for some seconds (10s)
4. CWM- was accessible
5. deleting cache and dalvik, (and did a factory reset but think that wasn't the point),
and bootloop wad gone.
Hope that helped,
Quantenkosmos.
Thank you this thread is how many months old .
Hello.
I have a diffrent kind of problem.
So yesterday i saw on my phone that headphones icon is on but it's not connected of course so i thought maybe wrong flash or something with system.
Of course i have bad luck to devices such as i8190 and when i tried to go in download mode it wouldnt start.
I searched forum and other site and tried to force download mode by adb tool and after that flash it by odin.
Of course my bad luck kicked me in the a.. and adb tool can't boot it too.
So i tought (maybe) other combinations of button then i pressed volume up and power and then i see a text POWER OFF, UNKNOWN UPLOAD MODE.
Desperate by such thing i tried to do something with cwm of course my rooted phone lose (by some mean) superuser not just program but whole root when to trash with cwm and other things...Tried to factory reset by phone aplication didnt do anything by deleting all ringtones and options i had.
I have android 4.1.1 no root, no means to go in to recovery mode no means to get in download mode.
Dont know what to do to returned it to good state.
So my question is please. Can somebody help me ?
Greetings from Poland!

Yep i tried that but i manage to force it by adb by some miracle dunno what happen earlier but now after flash i have problem with that headphone icon. I flashed it with 4.1.2 maybe wipe and param files do something.
When i boot phone it's alright but after fully started its shows its connected to headphones while headphones are off and ringtones play alright but media is playing in headphones mode so i will try to degrade it with firmware 4.1.1 xxall maybe something will change or happily it will be okay.
If someone have idea for this please reply
Strange bug I've never heard of before. Have you tried to make a factory reset from recovery?
Also do a factory reset before you downgrade from 4.1.2 to 4.1.1, otherwise you'll end up with bootloop or force closing apps.

Can you tell me exactly how this happened? Like how you were installing JB? And is your phone i9070 or i9070P - because they have different firmwares, if you flash the wrong one then it will most probably hard brick your phone....

Odin said PASS before you disconnected? Phone rebooted to recovery before disconnecting? Or when did you unplug it? What FW did you use? You have its name on file, copy/paste it here.

If you pull out cable when it said rebooting, then I think that didn't cause the problem. Now no download mode at all? Tried to pull out battery and put back, than to go to download mode?

And not booting up.
Guys i really want to use that mobile again
Pls help!!
Try this, remove battery and sim card then hold the buttons to get into download/recovery mode and while your holding the buttons replace the battery. if that doesn't work then try a jig, you can buy one or make your own. info here http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/help/guide-how-to-make-usb-jig-reset-binary-t1604707

Try using the method provided by pryerlee but leave it on download mode. Use Odin or Heimdall to flash a new kernel and just after it reboots, quickly go into recovery mode where you should factory reset and delete the caches. Hope this helps!

You should still have download mode as it is hard coded into memory. Maybe try with a USB JIG and you can make one if you don't want to buy one. http://www.xda-developers.com/android/need-a-samsung-usb-jig-build-your-own/
I can get to download mode, but with various PC's and laptops, different USB cables (including the original Samsung) the phone does not appear as a device.
Any ideas?

You used the same root package? If so, then maybe you flashed a wrong kernel.
