There is plenty of info and guides for you on site, Stop been lazy and impatient, Go and do some research and search forums instead of expecting somebody to bring the info to you.
You will learn more and retain the info if you put some work into it and read.

go download unlockroot - http://www.unlockroot.com/
make sure you set your device to Enable USB Debugging.
Press Root from the program and wait for the magic to happen.

worked
Thanks very much quite easy.

What is wrong with you!!! Are you frustrated or do you have a huge complex and didn’t mammy give you enough attention??? You can’t wait to put people down are you, he is asking a question and did it very polite he tried it with several solutions and it did not work so he tried, it is absolutely not necessary to say that he is lazy and impatient, your here a long time and all i read from you is bashing people, why don’t you just shut up if you are not helping people and leave it to people that have no problem answering such a question, nobody is waiting for your stupid remarks. You ATHEiST are an idiot and do not belong in a forum!

You can also go for the CFROOT. OR use the overcome method by teamovercome. You just need to put your tab in download mode, and get the necessary files from TEAMOVERCOME. Although, when you do this, you will get a customer ROM installed, the overcome 7 v4.1.0 running on android 2.3.6 fully rooted.

2.3.6 root info
tried many methods, here're my results, hope this helps...
going from gb 2.3.3 rooted with cf root ...to 2.3.6 with cf root.
(all firmware from "check fus 2.1")
uk(02)...JQ8 -not easy!
eventual success, method mentioned in last page of linkost #342
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=885734&highlight=tab+cwm3
Poland play... JQ9 -easy!!
used pc version 'odin3 v1.7' to flash firmware, then again to flash 'cf root kernel' (same one as in the above 'xda' link).
result -all good
tried using mobile odin pro first but had probs.
if all else fails, you could try, team overcome's custom rom, i tried that too but didn't like their version of cwm, so was determined to get chainfire's original working.

[Q] What one click root works on a recently Gingerbread-upgraded Galaxy Tab?

I just recently upgraded my Galaxy Tab from Froyo to Gingerbread this morning and I have lost all my root privileges.
I successfully rooted my Froyo and after the firmware upgrade, everything just went to being "unrooted".
I kinda am running OpenVPN here and the only thing I have to obtain is a proper root without flasing or using custom ROMs.
I tried SuperOneClick and Gingerbreak but no cigar.
Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you guys!
the only thing gonna work for you is .................. posted in another question and been already answered here ........... check it out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14538198&postcount=3 and don't forget to hit the thanks button
As of now only CF-root can root Gingerbread.
Wow this community is just wow.
You guys answered right away and I appreciate all the help! Currently working on this thing, I can't seem to get Odin to work. Will post updates later
Say guys, do you mind telling me how download mode works for the GT P1000? I tried power+vol down+home but again, to no avail. Just wondrin.
I couldn't start Odin without that.
Update: guys I think I bricked my tab! It won't boot!! What do I do?
I followed step by step instruction of the link posted above and then after everything else, it just blacked out! help please
Go to recovery; press volume up+power on.
Wipe cache and factory reset, then, under advance clar dalvik cache. Does it boot?
Else press volume down+power on (not the home button!) Go into download mode and flash the cf-kernel again. Read that tread carefully
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
People here at XDA are REALLY HELPFUL!
For the benefit of everyone, I have revived my tab and did these exact steps:
1. Upgraded from Froyo to Gingerbread through Samsung Kies (latest version).
2. Rooted my device using the link posted above by k0sh and of course the exploit root by ChainFire (who, by the way, I would like to thank but I don't have a paypal account so I would have to find other ways to donate)
3. Bricked my device using CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVK-v2.4-CWM3RFS. So after panicking, I reflashed it to CF-Root-TAB7_XX_OXA_JQ1-v3.3-CWM3RFS without re-partition checked.
4. Successfully botted in root!
And for those concerned with OpenVPN:
WITH OPENVPN on Froyo before the upgrade:
1. Re-install Root Explorer and Terminal Emulator
2. Reboot Tab. (just to be safe)
3. Re-install Busybox (I used 1.17.2 from the installer in the market)
4. Reboot. (again to be safe)
5. Open Terminal Emulator and type theseif openvpn is installed in xbin)
$su (press enter and this will prompt for root access just grant)
#mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock2 /system
#chmod 700 /system/xbin/openvpn
#mkdir /system/xbin/bb
#busybox ln -s /system/xbin/busybox /system/xbin/bb/ifconfig
#busybox ln -s /system/xbin/busybox /system/xbin/bb/route
(without # and $)
6. Run your OpenVPN Settings and enjoy your lost connection!
For those who don't have OpenVPN installed prior to the upgrade, I suggest searching for them here in XDA where the community is just amazing!
Again this worked for my SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 7" GT-P1000. I DO NOT GUARANTEE ITS SUCCESS ON OTHER TABS SINCE I SEARCHED FOR EVERYTHING DEVICE-SPECIFIC.
Thank you XDA! You've been very wonderful!
holy moly ... i wrote in my answer in the other thread nothing u put u add u press in odin except START ... thats why its happened , because u ckicked the partition .
anyways .. thank god you back .. and welcome into XDA world

I confess I'm not completely and thoroughly confused. I'm seeing no less than three different ways to root the GB update.
- Flash custom kernel with Odin
- SuperOneClick
- Gingerbreak
I know the custom kernel method works, but I really don't want to go that route as it strikes me as a PITA. Do either of the other methods actually work? I've got a Sprint Tab that is nagging me to take the update now and I need to decide.

[Q] Help - How to root Samsung Note KL3 (Singapore Starhub)

Hi there
Yes I know there are articles about this (damn long articles with strange terms). And I have read through a lot posts about how to root Samsung Galaxy Note - there seems to be 1001 ways to do it but none of them worked on my model KL3 (purchased from Starhub in Singapore)
-> Tried one-click root method - doesnt work anymore for KL3
-> Tried odin method, can't find the place to download the revised ROM (just wondering why will the author still post the URL that is invalid?)
So please anyone out there, if you have done any successful root on KL3, please let me know how you did it.
I am willing to pay you some $$ to get the no-nonsense answer - I have wasted 1 day digging around and I don't want to waste more time.

First downgrade your firmware, then Root it. after applying Root, you can back to Singapore KL3 or watever new ROM you desire, by using CWM or Mobile Odin
Hi sorry to hijack yr thread OP,but i am also from Singapore.i bought a set from singtel.
my firmware are as follow:
PDA:N7000DXKL3
PHONE:N7000DXKL2
CSC:N7000OLBKL2
Baseband:N7000DXKL2
Kernel:2.6.35.7-N7000DXKL3-CL825081 [email protected]#2
i am confused on which one to look at as both pda and phone has different KL version..so which one should i be looking at for rooting purposes and can my current fw be rooted directly?
Look at kernel version. You are on KL3.
Follow dr.ketan's post above.
thanks for replies.
what puzzles me is that,i read dr.ketan's pdf guide and found that N7000DXKL3 is direct rootable.have u tried and it failed?

Actually xxkl3 was released early that was direct rootable, but some newer version released under kl3 are not rootable
Actuallt kl* are non rootable, except some early kl3. So you shud try to root it directly, if not success you should consider it as non rootable.

Normally i will just download the newest version from www.sammobile.com and flash through odin, and on ICS, if i loose my root, i will use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1746794. To get my root back. Easy and fast.

Did you even read the sticky? If its still no rooted, try flashing a new stock rom via Odin and try rooting it again using the method mentioned in the sticky. Just in case you didn't understand what I'm rambling about here...the magic word of the day for you is.... 'STICKY'.
????????
No idea what u r rambling about .... no idea what u mean by STICKY, but i am new to the mobile chatter.
but i read the instructions yes .... and they seem to work with some phones and not with others ...
they do not work with mine and that's why i asked was there any root instructions that will work on 2.3.4 galaxy ace (DDKQ3) ...
so far, NO ONE has said YES.
Sticky means the sticky thread at the top of the galaxy ace forum. It has phone specific tutorials.

Wow how unhelpful are you
I also have galaxy ace on 2.3.4 purchased in late march. The current methods for rooting don't seem to work anymore. The person who started the thread and myself would like some helpful advice from some1 who knows something about how this stuff work. Cause we don't and that's why we post!
Flash the attachments, and you've got root access. I've been using them for 2.3.4 as well as 2.3.6. Works like a charm.
Oh, and BTW, these are from the STICKY thread!
EDIT: I take you know what FLASHING means?! If not then go learn that first before you go any further. And use the SEARCH option. It's not there for baking biscuits!
I have tried to flash:
AceGingerRoot.zip
Root.zip
Universal_GB_ROOT.zip
Update.zip
upd_1.zip
None of these actually work. The root.zip you recommend comes up with an error the aborts.
I have S5830T and I just purchased this last month so things may have changed since you rooted your device. I'll try recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.6-galaxyace-fix.zip after I research what it actually does (OMG - Yes I'll use the STICKY).
I hope you realise that if it waas as simple as flashing the root.zip that we would not actually need to post and ask for help!

Well, if Flashing doesn't work try to push all the stuff using ADB. It never fails. And that root.zip, I've been using it since day 1 and still use it whenever I flash to stock using ODIN. Never stopped working for Me. Try the ADB method, and report back. Let's hope for the best. And if possible post the log of the error which you get during Recovery flash.

[Q] How to root galaxy note GT-N7000BDULB3 version

Hello xda developers
I am wondering if someone can answer a few questions i have about rooting my samsung note?
I'm in Australia and just got my note with vodafone on Saturday. I have been doing some searching in the dev section and I haven't found my kernel version (2.6.35.7-N7000BDULB3-CL977082) to download from dr.ketan I have also searched for it on sammobile.com with no luck also.
So from the above statement does anyone know where i can get a copy of it from or know how i can backup mine from my phone atm?
I have found a root solution however It is for the GT-N7000 model which is at rootgalaxynote.com/galaxy-note-root/how-to-root-galaxy-note-gt-n7000-method-2odinheimdall
If I followed this above method would I end up bricking the phone as the phone version are different? I found nothing on a search when comparing the two
Sorry for an the essay of a post too.
Looks like you're the only guy in the whole wide world with the exotic N7000BDULB3 GB, mate.
https://www.google.com/search?client=opera&rls=en&q=N7000BDULB3&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
Anyway, you can always flash and root and older Rom, then upgrade to whatever you want whilst keeping your root. Here's a little guide to downgrading and rooting I wrote some time ago, hope it helps.
You'll have a rooted KK9 rom after you're done. Then you can download any new GB version (LC1 is the latest) from here and flash it with Mobile Odin, with Everroot and Inject Superuser options ticked. That will keep your root.
Good luck.

Thanks so much, and your posts are one of the easiest to follow and gives a great head start for noobs! Great Job really!
I used this method and now I see a yellow triangle.
1. Will this yellow triangle during boot up, disappear if I follow your unroot method?
2. Will my phone can be updated to ICS once Samsung officially provides upgrade to ICS for Galaxy Note?
3. I tried SetCPU, the phone became very hot, when I over clocked and it just hang. I brought it back to normal.
4. What are all the other useful, important things we can do after root, other than installing Titanium Backup etc.

Looks like you're the only guy in the whole wide world with the exotic N7000BDULB3 GB, mate.

Good luck.

This might be a stupid question chasmodo so bare with me.
With the KKA firmware when extracted I get the 2 files like you said the .tar.md5 and the dll file.
In odin do i just select the .tar.md5 file under the pda option? or do i have to put the dll file in an option as well.

Do you have Sammy drivers installed on your PC? This is important. From Dr Ketan's guide:
"Install Kies on your computer, connect your phone and make sure that all the drivers installed correctly."

Did you start Odin first, then plug your Note into USB slot? Does Odin show the yellow field with the COM number in it?

I have got the yellow com box wich on my computer says com4.
using odin v1.87 instead odin 1.85 like before.
using the firmware like u suggested to downgrade too as well.
seem to fail when it goes to boot.ini and the kernel section just fails there?
Think I should try flash a kernel or something?

Don't know what else to suggest at this point. I'd leave it as it is and wait for Dr. Ketan to bail you out.
@Dr. Ketan:
Mum, help us, we're stuck here!

[Q] Simply UNROOT the original ROM S3-mini I8190XXANC2 ?

Hi Guys!
Compliments for your forums. It's a very great work that you are doing here!
I hope it's not a duplicate topic. If it's so, my excuses for that!
I've downloaded that program Kingo Root V 1.2.3.2051, to unroot my S3-mini which have the rom I8190XXANC2 Vodafone Italy
After I started the program and connected the device, I had a doubt, so after few seconds that the program was communicating, I turned off my router, so internet was unavailable.
Then I had to wait 1 minute more till the program said that my device is unsupported, anyway it asked me to press the button "ROOT" .
I did nothing, then I closed the program and disconnected the phone.
Now searching with Google, I found out that this program may harm in some ways, so now I am worried, maybe I shouldn't but hehe you know....
The phone doesn't seems to have new apps installed neither to act weird, so now I ask myself, was able this program to modify or install something in the phone?
Either this answer is positive or not, at this point I would like to do what was my intent: Reset to default, unroot just this ROM version without remove anything (unwanted Vodafone apps), only unroot it and add the Supersu APP; nothing else. Then I can decide later what to keep or what to remove.
I searched a lot in your forums before write this topic, but I found only an extreme "tweaked" version, which isn't my goal.
Another thing that I don't understand is why I see more than one files to flash in the device, seems like it's the operating system, the modem binary, and the kernel? I understood well? It's obligatory to upload all three? Which sequence order?
You mention some applications which helps to upload the roms as like Odin, twrp2.7, I may be wrong, but don't seems that you have a specific topic or an updated download section. I am afraid to search in Google and maybe find some fake versions around with includes malware.
Sorry for all that questions, but I am very new to this Android world. To start for good I need some guidance. I hope you can help me somehow.
Thank you very much.

dead link

send for I8190N CM11 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Thank you for the instructions and the links. From the samsung-updates I can download my original ROM and then with Odin restore my S3mini as factory mode. This may help to get rid of possible "some unwanted changes" done my the tool mentioned in main topic. :good:
My next step is to gain the root access in the original ROM which is I8190XXANC2 OMN, and I dont desire to flash with too much tweaked versions, if possible. The ROM must stay as most close possible like the original, but with the root access.
Any help is very appreciated .
