Hmmmm.... what is your location ? Did you flash a Euro-FW ? The fact your Tab showed being on EDGE-network is not bad, it just means you hadn't activated the data-link in setting-wireless-etc... E or G are the normal cell-bands.
Try to reflash your modem with a JMA,JPZ or JQ2 modem from the thread. Mind you, JQ2 will show up as JQ3 in settings these are the quadband/data-enabled modems working a charm here...
thhx i try it and let u know the outcome
I use RotoHammer Modem switch for 2G voice and 3G for high speed surf. It's much easier for me than flashing TMO's 2G-3G every time you want to use either one. TMO's 2G should be 12 megs and the 3G is 16 megs. I'm not sure why when I downloaded ROTO's switch both files have the same megs. Anyway, just a thought for all of us here.
Hi,
I have unlocked the att tab long time ago and it was working fine. Then since few days i am messing around with different roms and modems and now my sim is not recognized. Does it means i have locked the device to att because of lot of flashing. Can someone please tell how to check if the att tab is still unlocked or locked. Maybe sim is not working because of wrong rom or modem. Sim working fine in my iphone. I was on rotohammer rom when tab worked like phone then flashed 2.3.3 and lost phone capability. Still has phone icon on the tab. Please need fix.
Thanks,
Hi Tabing.
It is me again.
Are you back on Roto rom now? or in one of the GB rom?
It seems only HyperDroid Androidmeda has the remark by the dev that it has roto unlock commands built in. With that, I assume unlocking is not a permanent thing?
well in my case I went to setting than network then mobile network and changed it to gsm and my cim has been recognized again by the system
just to let you know I was on froyo and I upgraded my tab to 2.3.3
good luck

i have a samsung galaxy tab 7.0 that is rooted and running on android 2.3.3. It is unlocked from tmobile, but when i try to make a call its instantly ends the call and says call ended. what can i do to solve this issue.
thanks
Are you on JJB baseband (in setting phone about) you need a different modem, maybe JPZ (look at dev subforum, sticky threads, there is a modem thread)
It will allow making call but only 2G speed for internet.
Use the famous roto modem switcher to switch back and forth. (also in dev forum, if using this, no need to hunt down the modem file, it is all included).
I am assuming you are on T-mobile network because you didn't say.
I have an AT&T S6 Edge + unlocked for use with Metropcs. I need to utilize the WiFi calling and I'm not able to use 4g lte while calling either. I have spent hours and hours looking through forums and reading, downloading stock T Mobile ROM files to try to flash my phone through Odin. I get a PIT error message on the phone every time. Everyone says that my baseband version has to match or else it will not work. If I want to flash T Mobile stock ROM on my phone I don't see how that is possible. Can someone please walk me through this if possible?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S10, model SM-G973U. Last week it did an update and something went wrong and it got stuck in download mode. I couldn't turn it off or anything. I finally had to flash a SM-G971U1 firmware to get the phone back working again. Does anyone know where I can find the latest factory AT&T firmware for the SM-G973U? The US version.

I would recommend using Frija instead, as it's probably faster, but the above is an alternative as well.

That's the one I used, but the AT&T logo doesn't show anymore and some of the AT&T features don't work like wifi calling. I thought the 973U was the at&t and the 973U1 was the samsung version.
You may have to reset the SIM somehow. Often, when the carrier sees the same SIM, they don't check the phone for what it can do, so it assume Wifi calling and such doesn't work. ATT is notorious for being stupid about such things (I've read far too much of this type of stuff on other phones as well).
You may just need to call ATT and tell them it's not working... they'll check the IMEI, see the phone is correct, and then reset the settings. That's another possibility.
Also, you may need to flash the firmware with a full reset or something, so that the CSC can re-recognize, but that means you'll lose any data on the phone... so just be aware of that possibility. Bottom line, ATT should help you with getting things working again... it's their problem, after all (assuming it's a valid ATT IMEI phone).
