Greetings!
I have a small question regarding to build.prop.
"ro.lge.vibrator_amp=120" does this string changes the behavior of vibration itself? I mean, does it make vibration more powerful?
I have this question because I think that vibration on my P970 is a little weird (this is my 3rd P970 and I've always thought that vibration on this one was different - weaker than in the others)...
If that string doesn't change anything, is there anything I could do to improve vibration behaviour?
P. S. I'm using Zeus v6.22 and it's original build.prop.
Thanks in advance.
... Anyone?
I think it changes amplitude of the vibrator... you could try change value to higher one (If you need more powerfull vibration) or lower it (for low power vibration) I may be wrong but i think its logical

Having come from the HD2 I was suprised to not be able to change the ring type on the DHD, for instance I always used to have my phone set to vibrate then ring with an increasing ring volume, yet with the DHD I dont seem to be able to do this..
Is there an app or something I am missing perhaps?
168 reads and no replys?
Am I missing something so obvious that everyone is just ignoring me or does nobody else actually use/want that feature?
Nope, you are not missing something.
It's not like the HD2.
I am unaware of any such application, but given the number of applications, there should be one!
I know its not the "same" as the HD2 but you would expect something simple like that to be possible surely..
Wow! Android doesn't have this option? I knew I should have stayed in WM 6.5...
Grumblings aside, I've found this post in a forum:
http://androidforums.com/evo-4g-tips-tricks/115984-vibrate-then-ring.html
Basicaly, they say to use an app called Ringriser and use an increasing volume together with "ring and vibrate at same time" or use "ring and vibrate" (with a custom ringer) and create a ringtone with some seconds of silence in the beginning.
Get an Admin to move this to development tread + see if some one picks it up
Id like to see a vibration setting where it can be altered - to buzz more or less also.
Ive missed a few calls due to the low speaker o/p and an alternating buzz (with tweaks) would be great
Some of the SMS notification apps in market offer the ability to change vibration modes etc, but I haven't seen any specifically for a phone call. If spotted will re post.
By the way jusk want to ask a question...
Can we change the speaker, dont understan about hardware but can we use an other produced or suitable speaker for dhd ?

Heya!
The vibration for a new WhatsApp message is waaaaaay to long! Does someone have a solution or an idea how to change the vibration? On my p990 optimus speed the vibration is different hence better :/
Problem also described here, seems like it is a Samsung prob: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1093059
First of all everybody has own responsibility if any damage happen to her/his phone.
I've found many difference from the default value by changin levels 19 to 21.
From hidden menu 3845#*880#
device test>all auto test menu - full>sound test>audio cal tool>setgain>
choose device type as headphone
and set EAR_DL as 21 which is set as default 19
This settings for headphone i didn't try other options because headphone volume was important for me
but all of my default is 21 already
tried it
ineffective
What I did was go to device test>full>sound test>audio CAL tool>set gain.
Change what part of the phone you want sound to be louder or lower in by selecting the device type category and then scroll down to the very bottom and make the value greater in the Dout category.
I recommend setting it to 125 or lower. You'll start hearing crackling if more. All the settings will revert to default if rebooted though .
Made possible by my sexy LG Optimus 4X HD (P880)
I tried that long ago and the result was ... none! At least when we're talking about "improve", I got the oposite in that time :S
I even change the original speaker (a huge stupid piece of plastic, with the speaker inside, that we can't open...) for others but, I didn't found nothing better...
I need to find the specs of the speaker and the camera to see if its possible to change for something compatible but better than LG.

Which rom do you use ?
I've tested in my v10f open Europe rom and it works.
I'm using sennheiser cx300-II maybe you didn't understand the difference with stock earphone.
I tried it

Hi, ive done an extensive search on here and via google but cant find the solution to my query. hopefully someone can help:
My Z1 sounds rough now and again when the vibrate motor is on. Im looking to reduce the intensity of the 3 onscreen android buttons. i know i can turn it off all together but i think reducing it would help. ive search to see if i can locate the "code" that defines this but ive had no luck. can someone help?

I have the exact same problem but thought it was just me!
I've noticed its occurs more with lower intensity vibrations more (if I change the intensity slider for the keyboard it sounds rough more often on lower vibrations). So maybe lowering it might not be the answer and we might have to do the opposite?
I've been online searching for anything related to XZ1c's weird vibration and found some older post from XDA, Reddit and Sony phone forum that mention how the XZ1c does have a quirky vibration that has been noted by various other owners, but I couldn't find anyone uploading a video to show what they mean by that.
Here is my XZ1c's vibration, using the built in engineering (*#*#7378423#*#*) test section: https://streamable.com/k4dxr
3000 (ms?) was the default value for the vibration test.
This isn't the quirky vibration that people are mention right?
I have the same "issue".
I own both XZ Premium and XZ1C (since 2 days), and the vibration is way too strong on everything...
XZP have nice low vibrations on navigation buttons and stuff.
But it seems there is no way to reduce it.
