I think i bricked my galaxy mini. when i bought it,i had 2.2.1 on it.unfortunately i did not update it step by step,i mean i updated it to 2.3.5,and didn't update it to 2.3.4 at first.now the screen turns on and off,i can not get in to cwm,or downloading mode, and my pc and odin don't detect it.is there any way except taking it to service center?

no it's not a boot loop, phone wants to turn on,the screen goes white but after a few seconds phone turns off! i installed kies, odin, android pc suite, but the pc does not detect the phone(i think there is no enough time for pc to detect it).and yes usb cable and port works,as i connect my motorola photon using it.

Just bring it to the center they will not know that you flashed a single thing but never mention about flashing because your warranty will be void

If you can still get into download mode, then ODIN should be able to detect your phone and thus you should be able to flash again.
Good luck.

I encountered this kind of sh**. I bricked my SGM and lasted for a year. We went to Samsung Service Center and they said that they will fix it and we're going to pay P6,000 ($140) and we're shocked. I did not left my phone to SCC and instead, my Mom brought my phone to her friend. After 5 days, it's fixed.

Hey guys.. it's me again..
With a little question..
i've searched for a solution and i found nothin unfortunately ..
Maybe it's me .. i don't know ..
Anywhore..
couple of months ago i unlocked the bootloader.. and i flashed A kernel ..
and did that over and over again.. last week .. i flashed Alfs.. i had some problems and bricks but i went through em easily thanks for Paul1989
But now.. i'm trying to flash nAa 08b ..
and unfortunately the flasher won't detect the phone ..
i know how to flash as i said before ..
i tried to do it on another laptop ... but nah ..
same problem ..
won't detect the phone ..
so i'm stuck at: connect the usb while holding the back button..
That's it ..
Hope u guys have some ideas ..
Thanks..
Cheers :
EDIT: i had a Problem with mounting the Phone to the pc.. but i solved it by installing the "Void" fix .. cause i have *alfs*
after that .. i could mount the phone..
so i thought now i can flash it ..
but .. NAH .. again .. it did NOT detect the phone :/
Plug your phone onto pc with battery out, hold the back button, then when youre holding it put the battery back in. Hope i helped

nAa Kernel?
Well... let us try to diagnose the horse the other way around ...
When you connect the X8 in Flash Mode does Windows show the device as "SEMC Flash Device" in the Device Manager OR is it some "SEMC HSUSB Device" without a driver (yellow exclamation mark) OR isn't it recognized at all?
- If it's correctly recognized as SEMC Flash Device then Flashtool should be able to recognize the phone (assuming you're doing everything right).
- If it's mis-identified as "SEMC HSUSB Device" look around in the Forums - there's a modded Android driver that resolves this problem (this happens with one of the custom kernels ... I fail to remember if it happens with nAa or Alfs).
EDIT: Seems the misdetection only happens by chance with Alfs, but in case you experience that problem see this post.
- If it's not recognized at all ... check you're keeping the back button pressed while connecting the X8 to the PC until it's being recognized - check your USB cable - try another USB port - check your System for possible virii infections.

keep the device manager open when connecting the phone

yes the exclamation mark says that you donot have proper drivers
search and install the latest drivers for your phone .. shouldnt have taht exclamation mark
the drivers should also come with your flash tool .. in the drivers folder ..
you can right click in device manager select update driver .. and point to teh drivers in your flashtool ..
if you dont have a copy .. search for new drivers elsewhere and install
Dude, how did you flashed the alfs kernel?

Hey everything has been fine until today when i noticed my computer is unable to recognize the usb connection with my galaxy note.... everything seems so strange and sudden as it worked before and i havent changed anything within last days......thinking its a possible glitch ... i checked on other pc.... same effect... changed usb wire... same.... even odin doesnt recognize it in download mode im so confused.... is there anyone able help me solve this problem...? Why would my phone suddenly become usb bricked without any changes to rom ? how to fix this issue... ?
please help me im really upset today cuz of that

Was going to suggest that you cleaned the usb connection, but your phone charges ok so it should be alright. Try re-installing the drivers & restart your pc, they may of somehow been corrupted. Worth a try.

Im not sure this method will work for you or not but you can give it a try.
Dont use usb mode to connect with your pc or laptop. Try to use mtp mode to connect. Thus pc will try to reinstalled the related driver as needed. Please uncheck debugging mode as well.
Good luck mate.

There is some problem with ur pc only I see as Odin will recognise ur device be it on any ROM. Now what may be the problem with your Pc.
1. Administrator rights not granted to odin.
2. Drivers not properly installed.

4. USB drive not working (least possible)
Try running Odin AS ADMIN. Maybe it works.

hello, if the computer doesnt recognize the phone the problem seems to be in the drivers. Uninstall kies and drivers (control panel> programs), then download kies again, reboot computer and try to connect the phone. [if you have a custom rom is natural kies dont recognize it].
When appears the information of USB connection, switch the storage and see if it lets computer access the SD.
If this works, you can use ODIN, if not try this
If nothing works and you have access to another computer try to install the kies there and do everything there to see if work.
