Welcome

also when you get to this situation then just go to recovery and wipe data
what four files package does is it have data.rfs which wipe the data while flashing and no bootloop appears
so actually four files are not compulsary but it will also work without any problem

First upgrade your device to Gingerbread using Odin, follow this guide
hubix's guide
Then root your device and install CWM (custom recovery) in order to flash custom roms, doing backups, flash mods ... here you'll find all
Usefull Thread with lots of info and FAQ
Finally choose the rom you want and follow the dev's instructions to flash the selected rom

The latest fw it's from Vietnam?? umm
There's no problem, but I suggest you to flash an European fw in order to avoid signal/coverage troubles because of each fw includes a modem from a different area. For me the Spanish KTM is the best

Here is the link on how to install stock rom using odin along with all firmwares and drivers (check the "Preparations" section),
Flash stock rom on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 using odin
You can find all the necessary details for flashing as well as all the firmwares in this link. If your PC cannot recognize the phone, its usually the drivers. Once installed, go to recovery mode and do a wipe data/ factory reset & wipe cache (otherwise bootloop might occur). Then restart. Now you have successfully flashed the stock rom. Here is the link for rooting and installing CWM 5 on Samsung Galaxy Ace (just install these zip from the recovery mode),
How To Root and Unroot Samsung Galaxy Ace?
CWM 5.0.2.6 fix for Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830
You can use the single firmware installation. No need to download files like boot, pda, etc separately. Also you can download the firmware near to your region. Hope I Helped

Before you do any of these things, make sure to backup you apps. Go to CWM and do "Wipe data/ factory reset" and "Wipe Cache partition". Also go to Mount and Storage> Format /system. Finally Advanced> "Wipe Dalvik Cache" and "Wipe Battery Stat". Now reinstall the rom again. It might solve the issue. As for the stable custom rom, you can always go with CM 7 i.e. Android 2.3.7 based roms. CM 7 based roms are much stable than CM 9, CM 10 and CM 11 roms. As per xda rules, I cannot suggest you the best rom. But here is list of all roms for our Ace. You can flash this yourself to decide which is the best. Here is the link,

after flasing a stock rom via Odin, do wipe factory/reset and wipe cache in order to avoid the bootloop, but with CM10.x ROMS NEVER DO WIPES (data factory/reset) OR YOU'LL BREAK THE BOOT!!
To fix it do all the wipes and reflash the CM10.x rom following dev's thread

Stuck in TWRP Recovery

Hey guys,
So I rooted my phone and went to TWRP to flash the 4.4 rom on my S III LTE when it failed. Then I remembered that I didn't unlock the bootloader which prevented me from flashing custom roms. Now I can't get out of TWRP!! I tried the recovery ,wipe cache and dalvik cache and even tried flashing the stock rom to the phone via TWRP, but it failed. I tried using Odin but nothings happening!!
I don't know what to do!! Much help would be appreciated!!

allright, what you have to do is turn of your phone, go into download mode (vol-down+homebutton+onoffbutton) connect your phone to the computer and flash the stock rom with odin, don't forget to do a factory reset.
You can also try to do a full wipe and flash the rom again
Get this : http://true-android.blogspot.com/2014/01/install-clockworkmod-recovery-6045-on_3060.html , a rom of your choice
and odin 3.09 , put your phone on Download mode and flash it , your phone will reboot in fastboot in CWM , flash the rom in CWM and enjoy

Help..

I've been running the SOKP ROM which runs kitkat 4.4.4 and I decided to give this phone to my younger bro, but he says he wants the original samsung ROM so I download the ROM from sammobile and also the latest philz kernel. I flashed the kernel from recovery and rebooted, wiped dalvik/cache, formatted system/cache/preload and then flashed the ROM...
BUT..
when I flash the ROM, it starts and then the installation aborts on its own. I've tried it a few times. Did all the wipes again, still no luck.
Can anyone please tell me how to switch from the SOKP rom to TW ? I tried the same method last time and it worked, but this time it just doesn't go that way... What am I doing wrong?
Just use odin, don't use your recovery
Flash with Odin
Go into recovery mode
Wipe data
Reboot
?
Profit!
Thing is, I've never used Odin before and I'm not sure how its supposed to work..
Can you tell me if its correct please..
I rebooted to download mode and the phone just says "Downloading.. Don't turn off target" (This is the first time I started download mode so I'm not sure if it was supposed to say that)
Does Odin show a sign which tells us the phone is connected? (Sammobile says "Wait till blue sign appears in odin".. I didn't see any)
Does the yellow triangle appear if we flash the stock ROM or is it only for custom ROMs?
Edit : I tried to add the .zip file to AP but it won't add.. And there's so many options here they confuse me.. I'm scared :crying:

I managed to work it out with odin but I still have just ONE more question.. in recovery should I go to mounts/storage and wipe data there? Or just do the wipe data/factory reset?

Phone doesn't boot, just samsung logo

Hello, I have an s3 mini I8190N model, with CM 11.0 kitkat 4.4.4(cm11.0_golden.nova.20150108) installed on it since nearly its release, the phone worked very fine, till today I entered the ROM manager app and pushed the "Boot to Recovery" button, so now it doesn't boot neither to the system nor to the recovery. I remember having CWM on it.
What I get now is only the "Samsung S3 mini..." splash screen, nothing else.
I have these files ready on my computer:
Recovery-CWM-I8190-Official-TOUCH-6.0.2.7.ODIN.zip
cm11.0_golden.nova.20150108.zip
What should I do now ??
You probably soft bricked your phone, I suggest you to check if you still can go into download mode and flash with Odin a wipe file and then a stock rom, once it is working again flash twrp recovery instead of cwm with Odin and try not to use rom manager, I've heard it causes the brick you have.

Not if you flash the wipe file, you can try flashing the stock rom without the wipe but It's recommended to do a clean install. Another option is to flash a file called PARAM to see if it solves the bootloop. But the way I fixed a softbrick in my phone was flashing param, wipe and stock rom in that order with Odin.
Are you able to go into recovery?

I will install TWRP through Odin v3 on the phone, then I'll flash without wiping data, then I'll recover necessary data(especially contacts) and then redo a clean install with wiping all the rubbish files.
I will tell you after I follow these steps on whether it was successful or not.
Thank you very much!

Effectively, I installed the missing recovery software (TWRP), and after that I selected from the boot menu in TWRP the "System" entry, then it booted fine and I didn't lose any of my data. Though I have to make a clean flash next time, by cleaning the dalvik cache... etc.
Thank you for your support!

You didn't mention whether or not you did a factory reset too (wipe data and cache), that's a must if you are switching ROMs.

You know you're still out of warranty and you can't get updates even if you flash a custom rom in TWRP. You have to use fastboot way to get it again
Use official rom link
