Hello!
A while back here, when I put my X8 to charge I can not use it properly. It seems that the smartphone is confusing commands, and acts totally bizarre, not respecting my will, so to speak. When I remove the charger cable, everything returns to normal shortly.
I'm using MiniCM9 3.0.1 currently, and I hacked my smart too many times. Maybe it was the cause of the problem. Now, how can I get the solution? Any tips? Someone had the same problem?
Bye!
Specifically what is the problem encountered and what "hacks" did you do?
I basically unblocked my X8 alone and installed much different versions, like GX, MiniCM7 and now MiniCM9, maybe others... I flashed it too. The problem is that when I'm charging my smart I can't use it because the touch commands are wrong.
Hmm actually unlocking bootloader and rom change does not really affect that unresponsive phone of yours. I suggest you to repeat the process.
Flash nAa ics2 kernel by nAa
Do a full wipe (data,cache,dalvik)
Flash MiniCm9 3.0.1
Then report if your problem still persist.
I yet does it, last time. Problem continues Maybe is the X8 gesture (something like that?)... I use a fake dual touch, I guess that it comes with MiniCM9 too... I don't know.
same thing happen to me,try changing the charger, or cable usb of the charger

Oh I gave you a thank by mistake, lol
I think the problem is that you have synaptics, maybe try to reinstall or unistall the module for fake dual touch, if that don't solve your problem, sth is messed up...

It happened to me too, but just when I'm using my sister's Blackberry charger.
With original Sony Ericsson chargers (yes, I have tried different models of it) It worked just fine. Try using another charger.
Anyway I was using SDE (or GDX, maybe) if that makes any sense. *and mine is cypress
Hum... The charger problem make sense, because I lost my original charger and I bought a generic. I noted the problem after that, but I never can think that it can be a problem. Thanks. I'll try find my original or buy a new one.
I guess it's because other chargers use different voltage, so they're creating static electricity and it could be confusing the touchscreen.

Hello,
my Optimus 2X (Speed) is going crazy. It opens apps on its own. When I try to scroll trough my contacts or my emails, the phone vibrates and does scroll on its own, and clicks randomly. So it is not possible, to use it at the moment. It seems like someone else is controlling the phone
I tried factory reset, full wipe, Modaco rom, Cyanogen Mod and Stock Rom. In all theses roms the (problem) behaviour is the same. I also tried different baseband versions.
Does anybody has the same problem or a simular?
Thank you for your help,
Hans
ps: This forum is great and i got a lot of help and knowhow just by reading passiv for 2 months.
i think your display is now wrong calibrated or damaged
Thanks for the answer.
Is it possible to re-calibrate the touchscreen?
Hans
i dont know definitly, my last phone had the same problem and it was not possible
I had the same problem when connected to hdmi. And yes when i touch the screen the wrong position is clicked. I brought to LG service center and they flashed the ROM and after that everything was much better. There's problem occasionally but most of the time it's ok. Not sure if it helps.
If the capacitive layer of the screen hasn't been damaged, then perhaps a hard reset would clear up any issues?
With the phone off, hold down Volume down + power to do a hard reset.
It'll wipe everything on the phone, but perhaps the last option barring reflashing the phone with new firmware.
use your warranty.

Thank you for your answers. I did flash different roms and did hard resets. But the problem was the same.
So I think I have to make use of the warranty.
Me and my brother got the same problem when connecting to our 19 Philips tv via hdmi, but a 40 samsung works fine. The phone is going most crazy when holding it in my hand, when I put it on a plane surface it almost stops with all the wierd behaviors, but it's damn slow. He got an original rom and I got a Modaco rom. So is it software or harware problems? The hdmi-output seems to be ok, if I pull the cable at diffrent angles nothing changes.

exactly what i experienced. My TV is 32" Toshiba. But after flashing by LG it was much better. Also, I use MOBO video player coz it's got options of turning off the whole touch screen except the 'option' button. After that the phone is ok while playing the video.
I have a friend that had a similar problem, and even after flashing everything back to stock the phone didn't seem to work properly... He returned it to warranty as it seems to be the only thing to do...
Have you tried NVFlash???

Sometimes it is good. But I don't know why and when exactly. May be the power.
When I conect my Black to the pc there is no notification and there is nothing in the pc either. It charges but the Black doen't recognize that it is charging, if i go to the phone status in settings it says it's discharging. there is also a massive battery drain (about 45% at night) that I believe that's related to that since i've tried many different roms including the stock one.
This looks like the usb brick that happens a lot in htc, but I'm not sure.
Does anybody know what's wrong?
Have you tried flashing stock rom back onto it to make sure that it is not an error of the ROM?
This is probably obvious but have you tried reinstalling the USB drivers?
Have u tried mounting USB storage in CWM? Or are you willing to reformat ur SD card?
What is the current state of ur phone? What ROM, kernel, software version, etc?
Plenty of questions to answer so we can narrow down ur query or maybe even direct the questions to the maker of the ROM.

The drivers are instaled. I'm currently with zeus v6.39n and with the rom kernel, but I don't think that it has to do with it since i've tried other roms including the official one and the problem was the same. I'd would preffer not to format my sd card. Do you really think it could help?
NO it wont help. Are you able to charge your phone or not? And did you maybe put any liquid over it? Or maybe ran around with your phone in the rain? Should be pretty easy to solve, if you know someone with technical skills, or give it to a LG service center. I mean I may be wrong, but if it doesnt even recognize a charger, then the USB is definitly broke... If it is still charging properly, try to flash it with smartflash or B2C app if possible. If it doesnt get better then, your USB is definitly malfunctioning. Sorry dude...

Hi,
Lately i am experiencing a lot of troubles while typing a message or just unlocking my lockscreen.
The touchscreen respods bad, sometimes it starts moving out of itsselve... Its really annoying to work with the phone like that...
Someone facing the same problems?
Suggestions? Fixes?
Btw. The phone is stock, nothing changed or replaced...
The onling thing i did was removing the shaterproof film (and my Sony logo )
Try repairing it with Sony's PC Companion or Sony's Update Service first.
remember to backup your stuff before proceeding.
Do full wipes.

Did you try to shut the phone down for 30 seconds and restarting it, seems to fix many unusual android issues.
I have noticed sometimes that my phone on the odd occasion does not repsond to screen press.
I am also experiencing the same problem.
Did a factory reset but still the same problem comes occasionally.. any solution ?

I've had this problem only sometimes when charging outside...When u feel that the touch isn't working as it should, put on your earphones and look out for a low buzzing sound..if u hear anything, then unplug the charger from the wall and check in another socket..hopefully the problem in my phone was that current was leaching onto the capacitive screen so if I touch just once,it registers a number of touches..hope this helps u get rid of the problem

That may be the solution to the problem you had but this isnt the problem here , it happens when whether the phone is charging or not and I think themichelanne is having the same problem.
Power off the phone with power+ vol up - wait for 1 vibrate followed by 3 vibrates and leave the phone then wait for 30 second before powering on, solved it for me....no problem in touch till now and i hope it does not come in future.
BTW This phone is really really full of problems.
Also happens to me when using some chargers
I bought my unbranded UK Xperia Z in Expansys, since I live in Portugal they sent a extra charger for the european standard socket. I had this exact same problem with it, the screen was extremely unresponsive and unprecise while charging. Now I use the charger from my old N900 and have no issues. Also, charging from a lower volt/amperage source like a computer I have no problems.
Since the capacitive screen is very sensitive, a low quality AC-DC adapter will generate issues (possibly due to the current/voltage not being 100% stable).

Im also experiencing the same problem. So annoying, especially while texting. Xperia Z's touch not proving to be how it should be.
This happens with this phone for me, and previous android phones. Usually its just the app open not responding to touch events, but my softkeys still work and I can force kill and restart whatever im doing. Sometimes I have to reset. It seems to be happening more frequently since updating to 67, but its not often enough really bother me. using a tool like romtoolbox to increase the amount of touch events android can process seems to improve it somewhat.

Have you found any solutions for this? I have been experiencing this since 4.2.2 update. I don't know what happened. Can you please explain what's wrong and what's happening? Have you got it fixed yet? My screen freezes frequently so I'm unable to use the phone.
I have been experiencing this problem since a long time. But I have found no solutions for it. I took out my screen protector and the freezing thing got to normal but still it freezes sometime, but more when the screen protector is on. I'm pretty sure this problem is caused by the screen or the android farmware. I'm downgrading my OS, please reply to this. Mine is C6602. C6603 doesn't experience any problems like that.
How I fixed my Xperia Z5 touch screen
Hi everyone,
So, my Z5 touch screen was not working at all anymore, I have tried every manipulation recommended on the internet but did not succeed to get it working that way.
Here is what I did to get it fixed eventually:
- Installed sony companion
- Launched the "fix software" program (I don't know the exact name of the program in english)
- Followed the steps (took a while, something like two hours)
Then my phone rebooted, but nothing, still the same issue. Tried taking off the sim card, rebooted and same problem. Then, I put it back in the phone, and for some reason, the touch screen decided to work again. Although, I lost a lot of data in the process, but worth it.
I don't know if it is a general fix, but on my phone it just worked that way. Although, I have noticed that my phone started overheating something like two weeks before the touch screen problem appeared, I assume those two problems are linked in some way. Still did not find any fix for the overheating problem except putting it under cool water or let it cool down for 10 minutes.
I hope I helped with my post, good luck for those who are experiencing this issue.
My xperia x8 is driving me insane. Everytime my mobile's screen turns off/times out, after 2-3 seconds it restarts. I have flashed it's stock firmware i found on the web because i was dealing with the same issue before with the difference that before the flash, it wouldn't occur only on screen timeout, but it could happen anytime, usualy exactly after the boot. I also bought a new battery just to be sure because the previous one was a little puffed but that didn't help. Please help me fix my mobile please
Have you tried a different variation of the same stock firmware? If not I would give it a go. Idk what you have done, but a factory reset through flashtool should set things straight.

Remove your battery, check the little patch behind it for water damage. That is all I can think of. Because flashing those .ftfs is literally wiping your device as clean as it will go. So it sounds like something wrong more on the hardware side of things. Because if you have an issue in one ROM, if it is software related, it should not transcend into the other.

i had bought a new battery because the old one was a little buffed. the upside was that it kept going until the screen timeout, when with the old battery it would restart instantly after the sony ericsson screen. Could it be kernel issue or something like that? The device was my brother's who took care of it alot. he never droped it or anything. My last guess is that he charged it with a different charger not optimal for the device, that's why the buffed battery and the hardware issue! sounds plausible?
i just asked him and he told me he actually did, multiple times. Does this senario stand?

It won't be a kernel issue if you have fully flashed stock .ftfs. But booting to the first Sony Erricson boot screen would usually indicate a kernel issue or problem with the chargemon.

pc companion was the first thing i tried, before buying a new battery.didn't make a difference. as i told before, is it plausible that the charging with a non sony ericsson charger caused the problem? i tried 3 stock roms, i don't think its a sw problem anymore. i am thinking of taking it to sony's tecs to give it a look but i don't want them to play smartasses on me so tracking the problem as much as possible would be a good start.
