Hello!
A while back here, when I put my X8 to charge I can not use it properly. It seems that the smartphone is confusing commands, and acts totally bizarre, not respecting my will, so to speak. When I remove the charger cable, everything returns to normal shortly.
I'm using MiniCM9 3.0.1 currently, and I hacked my smart too many times. Maybe it was the cause of the problem. Now, how can I get the solution? Any tips? Someone had the same problem?
Bye!
Specifically what is the problem encountered and what "hacks" did you do?
I basically unblocked my X8 alone and installed much different versions, like GX, MiniCM7 and now MiniCM9, maybe others... I flashed it too. The problem is that when I'm charging my smart I can't use it because the touch commands are wrong.
Hmm actually unlocking bootloader and rom change does not really affect that unresponsive phone of yours. I suggest you to repeat the process.
Flash nAa ics2 kernel by nAa
Do a full wipe (data,cache,dalvik)
Flash MiniCm9 3.0.1
Then report if your problem still persist.
I yet does it, last time. Problem continues Maybe is the X8 gesture (something like that?)... I use a fake dual touch, I guess that it comes with MiniCM9 too... I don't know.
same thing happen to me,try changing the charger, or cable usb of the charger

Oh I gave you a thank by mistake, lol
I think the problem is that you have synaptics, maybe try to reinstall or unistall the module for fake dual touch, if that don't solve your problem, sth is messed up...

It happened to me too, but just when I'm using my sister's Blackberry charger.
With original Sony Ericsson chargers (yes, I have tried different models of it) It worked just fine. Try using another charger.
Anyway I was using SDE (or GDX, maybe) if that makes any sense. *and mine is cypress
Hum... The charger problem make sense, because I lost my original charger and I bought a generic. I noted the problem after that, but I never can think that it can be a problem. Thanks. I'll try find my original or buy a new one.
I guess it's because other chargers use different voltage, so they're creating static electricity and it could be confusing the touchscreen.
Hello, guys.. I'm having a real trouble with my Note. I bought it 3 months ago, but it seems that today's my "lucky" day and the microUSB connector isn't working anymore. At all. No charging, no "usb connected", no mass storage. It's not charging even when I turn off the phone and plug the charger.
So.. I guess I have to ask for a repair or a replacement. But here's the problem. I've changed both the kernel and the ROM and I have to restore the phone to it's original state before taking it to the service. I read the UNroot topic under the development section, but I didn't understand it well. I need to do it through the phone since I can't connect the device to my computer because of the malfunctioning microUSB port. I can't charge the battery either, so I'm stuck with only 36% power and I can't simply shoot in the dark. I turned the phone to save the power and I hope it should be enough to finish the operation, but I don't really know how to start it. I guess I have to download stock kernal and stock ROM and then flash it somehow (Mobile Odin!?), but I'm not sure and I really need your help.
Any help would be highly appreciated, I'll continue looking around for info.

It looks clean. The cable is okay too. I'm working at Gameloft so we have lot's of micro-usb devices and they're working just fine with the exact same PC and cable.
Anyway, to be 100% sure - how to clean the port? I mean - it's so tiny little hole and there isn't any direct access to it.. But I think it's gone.. It randomly shows "charging" while the cable is not plugged at all. Then it stops.. and starts again.

Put stock rom on your external sd,install mobile odin pro from market and use it to flash the stock rom.And remember donot select ever root, inject su,inject mobile odin. And after it finish flashing, you can send it for service
Put a stock rom and then try cleaning the USB as someone suggested. My usb port would stop working at random and I cleaned the port with a toothbrush and it has worked ever since. That was 2-3 months ago.
Well, thanks guys.. I'll try the tooth-brush trick when I get home and if it fails to solve the problem, I'm gonna flash the stock ROM with MOP and take it to the service. I'll keep you posted.

Not a difference you "see" technically. From my understanding mobile Odin cannot touch bootloaders. Pc Odin can. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong. From Chainfires first.post in his Mobile Odin thread, "While in theory Mobile ODIN can repartition and flash EFS and bootloaders, it will cowardly refuse to do so, for your own safety."

Assumign that you have a micro SD in the slot-
Take the micro SD out and connect it to your computer. Or use airdroid for file transfer over wifi. Whichever way you use, create a folder called firmware and put the .md5 in the folder and flash it through CWM or mobile odin.

Keep in mind that using the phone while connected to AC can cause those issues. Try it not connected before anything, that could be your cable/adapter fault

Yeah that's true. I have had this kind of issues since I charge my phone with universal USB charger and USB-micro USB wire. If you're experiencing these issues during charging. The only way to delete them is to wait full charge and UNPLUG it before touching the screen
If not, as said previously maybe the digitizer but I can't help you sorry :/
Hello, i got an optimus black witch dosen`t starts up. After i had install an custom rom (Rebuild_of_V20s_Gingerbread) from ClockworkMod menu i selected to restart the phone since here all good, but my OB didn`t restart he turned off and never started back. :crying: I removed the battery, sim and the sd card for 2-3 minutes, put them back but it refuse to start up (screen is dead, fully black, same the sensitive buttons), i tried to get into the software update menu by pressing the volume + while i plugin the usb cable but is not working. When i put the phone to charge on the screen dosen`t show anyhing. All i know is that my battery was on 15% before i installed the rom, but it was successfully installed. Wat`s happening? Nothing is working. Can anybody help me? Sorry for my bad english.

try to charge ur baterry evn if nothing appears then plugin ur device to computer with volume up pressed then just checkout whetr ur computer detects the device ..
for which just go to device manager by right clicking 'my computer' icon >properties>hardware>device manager.
check out for any exclamatory yellow marks.
if exist install suitable driver
then flash ua device , falsh rom
Try entering the emergency mode (pressing vol+ , then plug usb) but just the phone alone, without, battery, sim or microSD on it.
Its a strange behaviour anyway...good luck man!

It happened to me before, so lesson learned charge your phone atleast 50% before flashing rom. What i did is i charge the phone even though it dosen't look like charging (screen dosen't show anyhing) but after a few minutes you will noticed that the battery gets hot, it means it's charging. So let the phone charge a little bit then turn on your phone again.

i think you meant that its a pity that the guy being on xda couldn't find a solution and has to give his cell back to lg for reparation and that lg doesn't has xda?
well my friend, if it's his board or something, better do it for free on warranty, right?
we here have most of the solutions but of course not all

I wish to be free but is not , the phone is out of warranty, but not these is the problem i just want to know which is the problem it is the software or the phone it is just weird that the phone refuse to start. Tomorrow i will find if the "doctor" could give me a diagnostic and make my lg "to breathe" again.
So i will come back....I will have just a bit of help, if the service can`t fix my lg and they will give me a diagnostic (that will sound strange to me), could you just explain me more detailed or if that diagnostic really exist?

Thx , i have one more question...i`ve notice that my battery have a small hole, can you please tell me if is present to the battery of your OB? The phone is out of service but is still dead, the boy from the service told me that i have killed my phone with the Rom i head installed and if i want to repair it it will cost me 100$, the only problem is that he don`t have the machinery (and the skills i think) to repair it and i have to sent it in the capital.
Please don`t forget about that hole from the battery...be good and "take an eye" :cyclops: to your battery.

i just made a post regarding this earlier tonight = / and the car mode is now happening to me now. I called htc support like 5 hours ago and they were absolutely no help at all. "reboot your phone into safe mode" did that "is the problem still occurring?" why yes it is still not charging when on... then they say it must be a hardware problem and to use my warranty and thanked me for my patience and please continue using htc.
I dont know why they have tech support that does not know how to support a recent common occurring problem. I don't even mind the warranty phone as much but i just took a ton of photos and videos the last month and i cant even back them up to my computer now.

Hey after reading through that other thread i did what they said about turning off the developer options and fast boot and it seems to be charging when plugged into the wall but it still will not connect to the computer. Also seems like the car mode is not turning on any more and after resetting it a few times earlier the apps do not open in landscape. So the only issue that remains is the usb connection to the computer although the whole situation is still ridiculous and i do not know how htc wants to pass it off as a hardware issue = / if you find a solution please let me know.

After I restart my phone by pressing volume down key and power key with charger plugged in, it starts to charge and also charge when connected to pc but pc wont detect it. No USB drive no syn manager. (note- I dont not enter bootloader by restarting. just leave power and volume down key immediately after screen is off, else u will get in Bootloader.)
I cant even root.
Any way I think i will sell this phone if no problem occurs.
Regards,
Also if i change any setting regarding USB connection type or developers option or fast boot option and charging stops and i have to again plug in charger and start with power and volume down key.
Other than that some problems keep rising like speaker get on automatically when i take call , dial screen rotates, it keep asking "complete action with day dream or Tunein radio"

Doesn´t seem to be too unsusual.
My phone (unrooted) began with the not charging problem after about three weeks. There is also a notification telling that I should connect a charger that is supported (shouldn't the original charger from HTC be supported). About at the same time it also decided that all apps should run in landscape mode and it at the same time become a painful thing to answer the phone by routine as it decided to activate the loudspeaker.
The problems are however quite intermittent and disappears and comes back without any known trigger.
I had the device on service when they updated firmware, run what ever tests they run and tried to charge it. All tests passed and I got it back. Everything seemed ok but day two the phone refused to charge again. Back to the store again where they also tried to charge but (luckily enough) got the same result as I.
It seems like if the battery is totally drained, the device starts charging after some while. Before it starts charging as it should, the red light goes on and off for some time.
I have exactly the same symptoms with my HTC One. It does not change until it's fully empty and turned off. Then it does change. The orange LED blinks 5 times and after that it start blinking very slowly.
I sended my phone on repair. True a webportal Im able to see any progression. I noticed they also uploaded a photo, see attachment.
It clearly seems to be missing a small element on the motherboard. (near the arrow). What I find weird thought, is that it seems to be the head of the phone and not the bottom near the USB port.
They also had some trouble opening the device as you can see between the two white stickers on the bottom of the phone. I'll keep you posted on any progression...

It didn`t always start charging. Sometimes I have had to plug the connector in 10 or 20 times before anything happened. Otherwise it did not start charging until the battery was completely drained.
Everytime it does not charge, the little icon in the left corner tells me that I should connect a supported device.
I sent a question to HTC support about the problem and got the recommendation to send it to a repair center (where it already is) and they actually gave an answer on my question if HTC are aware about the problems. The answer was "We know about it and work on a solution".
Interesting if that actually is true and not just a too quick answer from someone that wanted to close the case at the a technical support.
Has anybody else asked the question?
Any one having charging and USB problem with HTC One had ever charged his/her phone by any other charger (not the charger u get in box) even for once ? I did that all the time !!!
Yeah, I always used a Samsung charger with mine and it works a treat, I just sent mine back to my network provider and they sent it off for repair, obviously, they put it down as a hardware issue and replaced the damaged device with a refurbished device which I don't care about because of rather have one that works than not

Yeah, I always used a Samsung charger with mine and it works a treat, I just sent mine back to my network provider and they sent it off for repair, obviously, they put it down as a hardware issue and replaced the damaged device with a refurbished device which I don't care about because of rather have one that works than not
