Is it possible to add the euphoria app/control to an existing rom?
I was using ICS Stunner - fantastic rom and I will go bak to it when the official ICS is released and the developer make a new ICS Stunner based on it.
I have now installed the Christelo rom but it doesn't have the Euphoria control settings, an it be added separately or does it have to part of the installed rom?
Euphoria is AOKP ICS only. To my knowledge there is no way of making it work on any other GB or non-AOKP ICS rom.

Can't you guys do a simple Google search?
I did a Google search, still not any wiser as to what it means to be as an end user or to answer my original question. I suppose I'll just have to go back to ICS stunner and lose the s-memo etc. until the official release comes out if I want to make use of the euphoria features
Before flashing Stunner please read this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1633938
If you just want Euphoria and don't care about ICS then I advise you just stick with GB for the moment because all ICS roms are flawed at the moment. If you want ICS without Euphoria you can try CM9 and if you want a little more customization you can try the MIUI rom based on CM9 but it has some bugs.
AOSP = Android Open Source Project
AOKP = Android Open Kang Project

Ice-Cream Sandwhich or Gingerbread Roms?
I personally use MidNote ICS ROM & Abyss Kernel. I like it a lot i just haven't tried any others yet.
The only non-stock rom I've tried is the AOSP by imilka, and I'm pleased with it.
GINGERBREAD. My own rom, I call it noob rom.

Few users here were kind enough to guide me. May be I'll write a guide in general section.
There's nothing in my rom; just stock, deodex, pdroid and thunderbolt.
GB, Pure stock (Root+CWM), Latest
Midnote 1.6 with abyss kernel...love it.

Imilka's AOSP ROM. Why ? Because TouchWiz sucks. Stock ICS is what i was aiming for while getting my Note - and Imilka's ROM gives pure stock experience.

None, at least not using stock ICS's software.
Criskelo all the way it's knows for stability, great performance and really nice implemented themes. best for everyday use when we can't allow ourselves for freezes, reboots etc.
Rom is updated only when it makes sense, for example when new firmware brings some changes, some roms are updated just to show off, it can be tiresome for ppl that aren't flash addicts

Both work on imilka's AOSP v7.
LC1 deodexed & rooted. Have tried a few ICS roms but they aren't quite there yet imo.

I've been using MidTeam 1.0 there's no ICS kernel so far but i can say its a great rom and i'm testing ALBa's rom and is quite the same, quadrant gives pretty much same score, the difference could be the theme, MidTeam is more ICS and ALBa's more GB, both are ICS 4.0.3 both full TW working, S PEN and apps are working as they should be.

Just trying out Stunner from Criskelo, love Criskelo's for stability. Stunner is stable so far with awesome customization. Just really miss s-memo, have the substitutes but if that could be added ( i know it cant) would be perfect
havent tried neither criskelo's nor stunner's which one is the one with amazing customizaions that you point out? Care to mention a couple of them?
Thanks buddy
I am looking for which ICS roms use a tablet API.
I would like to this list to be included on the wiki page.
Thanks in advance
imilka's AOSP, ICS Stunner, Codename Android and ICS AOKP.
Yup, gotta change the DPI to 213 or lower to enable it...build.prop or AOKP and ICS Stunner both have "Euphoria" controls to easier enable it.
I recommend the stunner beta 4.3
It's very good , and you just need to change the LCD dencity to 213 in euphoria control and reboot.
Here's a question to the devs. Can i flash Imilka's AOSP ROM in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1516515
over the current German ICS LPY?
i wouldnt have thought it would be recommended, probably end up bricking the device
I think you can, but remember, there's always some chance of getting hard brick when using samsung's leaked ICS kernels AFAIK.
Alright! Thanks!
Lpy ics --> gb --> leaked ics repack --> custom ics

Yes, go back to GB and then go to ICS ROM is a better option.
What is the best ice cream sandwich rom with/without best battery life ever created, modified or developed.
IMO it's the KingDroid ICS NoteMania Edition v1.6 TouchWizz UX. It is very fast and beautiful, it also has the Google play apps and the s-pen ones.

There is nothing called the best rom.It really depends on what features you want and with what rom you feel comfortable. As of now,you have the following options for safe ICS roms
1.CyanogenMod9
2.Asylum ICS
3.MiUi
4.ParanoidAndroid.
5.And other ASOP/AKOP roms build on cm9.
The roms other than above are built on lp1,lp5,lpy or lpf F/W which has the potential to brick your phone.

If you flash Kingdroid, would you lose any of the S-Pen functionality? I've heard it does :S
I am using Galaxy Note for a long time. I was always far to the custom roms since they have various bugs mostly. But after a long time I changed my mind when i see the Paranoid Android rom. It is really cool with its Tablet/Phone hybrid functions and views. I can easily say that it is really smoother then the official ICS roms. And the battery, performance, speed, stability etc everything is just fine.
Maybe you can give a shot on this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1662802
by the way it is a CM9 based rom and it is safe to use (doesnt have the brick bug)

The advice Ayush770 should be ported over to development for the unsure, noobs or just need a plain straight method.
My preference is CM9, any ROM no matter how good that has a PINK unicorn (angry looking or not) & message's you your a jerk when you disable said PINK unicorn...........well you decide!

Using Kingdroid NoteMania v3 with Speedmod kernel #k3-3.
S-Pen works great and so does all S-Pen enhanced apps
Battery life is good. Single charge gets me through the day with Exchange push mail, Gmail, Skype and Plume running all the time
Speed is fast. Of course, after you flash Speedmod kernel, it takes some time to settle down. Initially it may lag but as you use it and it creates the dalvik cache, it gets faster
TouchWiz5 is better than TW4 though I use NovaLauncher. There is no lag in either but I like the clean look of Nova over TW
Replaced Samsung Email with AOSP Email client and Samsung Messaging with AOSP Messaging. Now all messaging apps look homogeneous (Gmail, Email and Messaging)
Do not use Live Wallpapers as it hogs battery. I use a plain black wallpaper with screen brightness at ~70%. Still battery gets me through the day
Go to task manager and clear RAM once a day. Close apps you are not going to use for sometime
Cheers

I currently have the JB based SweetRom v7 installed on my Galaxy Note.
Recently it was pointed out to me by a friend that CM based ROMs have a better functionality and are easier to use. Me, never having used a CM based ROM (not even on a friend's phone), am kind of in a dilemma whether or not to switch.
It would be of great help if you could help me out with the Pros and Cons of both JB based and CM based ROMs and if I should give CM a try. Also, a list (If possible) about the features which might not work/are absent from CM based ROMs..
Also, an elaborate guide to switching from JB to CM and a ROM suggestion for a first-time CM user will be very helpful.
Thanks in advance guys.

I'll answer part of your question. If you switch to a CM-based ROM, you won't be able to use S Pen-based apps such as the S Note, as it is tightly integrated into Touchwiz.
4.1.2 JB LT4 Union ROM v7, LT3 Modem, PhilZ LT4 kernel, Carrier: AT&T (US)
Will i not be able to use only the apps or the S-Pen as a whole?

You would not be able to use Samsung applications for S-pen but you can use their alternatives from play store, also FM does not work but you can use Spirit FM, No Wi-Fi Direct but you can use the alternatives from play store.
Edit: Just so that you know, CM based roms are much faster and smother than the TW or stock rom. Also has lot more customisation to it compared to TW. TW also has customization but you will have to apply then or use a customized TW rom.

Yep, as already was said here, the spen apps, and functionality like scrolling, hovering stuff doesn't work.
Not every ROM is the same, so ones can be faster and others slower.
If You would like to have many many options I would recommend You to flash the jellybam ROM. It's slower but greater.
You may also try android 4.3
Okay, So I finally decided to go with JB 4.2.2 SuperNexus ROM.
I'm still confused about how to flash it. I've gone through the procedure and I understand it all but I'm now sure how to Switch from Philz recovery to CWM recovery?
I know this sounds stupid but this is the only thing keeping me from flashing the CM Rom.
Do I flash a CM based kernel to change from Philz recovery to CWM or is there something more?
Help will be greatly appreciated!
As for note the recovery is in the kernel, you will need to flash a cm kernel.
But you could directly flash it using philz recovery. When the rom installs it will install cm kernel and overwrite philz kernel.

So I just need to flash the ROM and Gapps through Philz recovery to get it working?
All that head-banging went in vain, I guess -_-
Thanks a ton!
it wont go in vain.. will come handy some day,. there was an issue with Philz recovery not able to install CM/AOSP roms.. (error 7). which was resolved in the latter updates,, if you get the same error ... then flash a CM kernel first and then reboot recovery and flash the rom.
