Boot directly to CWM Recovery - LG Optimus Black

I was just playing around with my phone and pushing some buttons and figured this out: You don't need to go into Android and reboot into recovery if your phone is off. You can boot directly to recovery by pressing "Vol+" and "power" at the same time, then when the LG logo appears let them both go.

Thanks, but this procedure is already known.

Help with TWRP Recovery Issue

Hopefully you all don't sigh or roll your eyes at my questions, I came from iOS 2 weeks ago and the Android learning curve is pretty damn steep!
Many guides I read says to enter recovery mode by turning the phone off, then holding volume down and power buttons until the screen flashes and you should enter right into recovery, especially guides to flash a rom. I installed TWRP last week and the way I enter it is hit restart with phone powered on and as the phone begins to restart hold volume down only, then I enter it.
When I hold power and volume down when the phone is shut off, I get the HTC boot image as the phone is rebooting and then a message saying something along the lines of the phone will reboot and it counts down 3,2,1 then the phone reboots a second time and not into recovery. Plus my wallpaper gets removed. I rebooted but the wallpaper was still removed.
Two questions; Is this some sort of faulty installation of my recovery? Which way should I boot into recovery when about to wipe and flash a rom? Thanks a million!
twrp quicker reboot...

way i do it is i unlock the screen hold power down to get the power options screen then i select reboot i wait for the screen to go blank then i hold the power and volume down it will load into bootloader then i just hit whatever boot loader has the recovery on it (twrp 2.5... had a problem wouldnt do system boot just take me back to recovery so i had to do to bootloader then restart from there) then you will hit recovery i would do a factory wipe but dont have it delete anything else just do a normal factory wipe and maybe delete cache and your problem should be fixed unless there is an issue with your rom you are using then if it bugs you that much find a different one.
another not when the system reboots i think you can just hit volume down dont have to hold power also but im so aggrivated with my current issue i just hold power also to make sure it goes thew.

*Update*
Ok so after trying again to enter bootloader from power off holding volume down and power button, the same thing happened where I got the 3 second countdown but I continued to hold the buttons and I correctly entered into bootloader. So my question then stands, when flashing a new rom does it matter which method I use? (Reboot, volume down or Power on, volume down/power)
Thanks

[Q] Volume Down Plus Power Method Won't enter Recovery

So, just updated with Malladus to 4.4.2 on Malladus 2.0.2, everything is fine with phone and running good. I did the unroot and then re root method. And now that I have malladus, I can boot into recovery. So technically I do not have any issues that are messing up my phone per se. But the thing is, the booting into the recovery the way it should work, with the phone off and then power and holding volume, letting go, and then re engaging with LG Logo appears does not get me into recovery. It did not before I even flashed Malladus, so I know it is not that. I got into recovery only because of flashify, and I was able to boot into. But shouldn't the volume down plus power method work? I can't figure out the reason it is not...Anyone know?

The power on/volume down method takes you to a screen to do a factory reset, follow the instructions on the screen and it will take you to your recovery if you have one installed. Don't if you're on stock recovery cause you'll just wipe your phone.
hardware keys to enter recovery. volddown+power then volup+power

steps to enter recovery that worked for my Sprint LG G2 on ZVC firmware.
1) hold power and vol down till you see LG logo -- immediately release these buttons and
2) immediately hold power and vol up button to enter into factory reset menu.
Then 3 presses of power key to confirm wipe and enter TWRP recovery.
I was going mad trying to enter recovery. It appears like different models/software versions have different key combinations for entering recovery mode.

Can't boot up phone with magisk installed (s10+)

Android 10 newest version.
So I installed magisk and everything went fine.
But when i switch off my device and turn it on I cant boot it up. It's stuck on the splash screen (turns on, splash screen, warning screen, splash screen) and keeps repeating. i cant boot into recovery either.
From what i read to boot into magisk on a s10+ you have to hold bixby+volume up+power, and to boot into recovery press those three, but when you see the second splash screen let go of the bixby button and keep holding the power+volume up.
I have flashed TWRP through the official twrp app, and maybe that's the problem? Maybe i don't know when to press those button combinations, but i have tried quite a few time and i just cant move past the second splash screen.
Please help.

I can however boot into download (odin) mode by pressing the volume down+bixby and connecting to my pc.
try to reflash twrp . but using twrp from @ianmacd and flash using odin.
put ianmacd's twrp .IMG into .TAR using 7zip and flash Odin as AP @Bluetinity custom twrp is better than official ?

TWRP not sticking.

Hi.
I am running stock 5.1. Phone is unlocked according to recovery - it states "unocked status 3". When I try to flash TWRP it does not stick. When I press volume down to choose reboot recovery it just turns off. When I try volume down and power to boot it comes back with an android on it's back saying no command.
Any ideas how I can fix this?
I sorted it.
I was pressing the power button instead of volume up when trying to choose boot recovery after twrp flash.

Unable to enter Recovery mode after reboot from twrp or stock recovery.

Moin,
My phone was one day suddenly unable to boot into system nor Recovery, but could still enter fastboot.
Took me a while to figure out that USB Hubs let flash attempts fail too. (you can watch the drama in my older posts)
Now i was able to flash System back into a workable state and it looks like that recovery is also successful flashed.
BUT...i can enter recovery only ONCE per Vol - and Power on Button.
i have NO OTHER WAY to enter Recovery at all. i have no reboot option in system (LOS 18.1).
In fastboot/adb command and after one succsesfull reboot per keys, it always stuck after the Sony logo into a black screen. i then have to restart it into system with Vol+ and Power (one vibration) or shut down with vol+ and power for 6 seconds (three vibration) to get it either into fastboot (Vol+ and USB connect) or system again. then i have to flash it again to get into TWRP once. i tryed the latest twrp version (3.7.0) and one older version (3.3.1) that had once worked until the phone broke.
Any idea what is going wrong here. i have already try to completly wipe everything from the phone and try to fix SEL Linux in twrp. nothing seems to work. Did i miss something?
/€: Now it is again in the full broken state. recovery nor System won't boot anymore and end in a black screen.
/€²: Found the Problem: my lilca zip was polluted with altered files i forgot about.
