I've been experiencing issues with my note. while playing games on my phone, sometimes the sounds disappear and every other system sounds i've enabled are not produced. this includes music player not being able to play any form of music at all. the only way is to wait for the sound to come back or reboot the phone. any ideas?

Hey everyone,
I have a huge issue (it is to me anyways).
Since I updated to 5.6.890 yesterday, my music will no longer
Play over my speaker. I lost my headphones so I haven't gotten to
test with headphones yet.
I've tried using Pandora, Google Music, and the default Music players.
Has anyone else experienced this issue? Anyone have a resolution by any chance?
Thanks in advance!

[Edit:]
so music works perfectly fine when plugged in through the headphone jack.
As well as when I first load my phone, it will play out of the phone's speaker. As soon as I put the screen to sleep/lock my phone, it kills my speaker from my media. even after I turn my screen back on. speak phone for phone calls still works fine though. Anyone have any ideas? Please help!

Hi,
I've been using the GNote for 2 weeks now, and its been great so far. But I noticed a strange quirk while listening to music. Whenever a call comes, the volume gets reduced to 10 bars and the music enhancement settings go off. This happens in the touchwiz music player. After disconnecting the music settings don't revert back to the original volume or enhancements and I have to do it manually again. Did anyone else notice this issue?
I'm on XXKL3.Unrooted.
I noticed same thing on galaxy nexus.

So any way around this problem?
Nope

I have this really strange problem. Using both stock player and poweramp I notice most of my songs skip. This only happen when I listen through headphone. Playing those songs through the phone speaker doesn't have any problem.
Those songs that skip, they don't happen consistently. Sometimes skip allot, sometimes a bit less, for the same song.
I can't make out the logic yet...
I tried factory reset, but problem remains.
Wondering if anyone have the same problem?
I'm on LP9, stock non rooted, through kies, officially in Malaysia.
I don't have this problem in 2.3.6.

Oh gosh. Looks like the problem is with my stock galaxy note headset. Today I use my Sony headset and voila, no more audio problem.
Moderator please close this topic. Case close and I'm glad it's the faulty headset.

Lately i've noticing a strange sound behavior. Whenever i play Music on the loudspeaker Music tends to fade out and in, i mean the volume goes down and then up, and no matter what player i use it,s happening so often that it's getting annoying. Any help or ideas, has anyone faced this problem? And don't know if it's rom related.
it's like something is making the sound to lose focus, like when you recieve a message while listening to Music with a headset but on headset this problem doesn't show up.
And for everyone to know i'm not using any sound mod.
edit: noticed that apps that use audio are crashing more than they should.
Hay man, I have the exact same problem, Sounds fades out then comes back... Oddly enough it's only just started happening in the last day or so. I'm on stock jellybean update with locked bootloader.
Is there any solution to this? Ive tried rebooting etc but no luck.

Try freezing soundenhancement.apk. I know this works on arc, maybe the same bug applies to XT/XTX etc.

Did that and no changes so far.
When playing walkman..i realise that the music seems like its stop and then play again..its stop around half a second..this happen in a few time per song..
Well I'm still having this problem but i've noticed that it happens oftenly whenever i'm listening music on loudspeaker and i open Chrome to navigate, it Triggers the problem. Been trying using Dolphin and it doesn't produce the problem.
I'm not 100% if chrome has to be blamed but that's what i've noticed
This weekend will try changing ROM to see if the problem goes away.
I have noticed this bug as well

Since disabling xloud I don't seem to get the issue anymore, anyone confirm?

I've already tested by disabling xloud, but the problem persists, gonna try rebooting after disabling
Edit: same result after rebooting. The ultimate Test is to play Music then start browsing with chrome (at least with two tabs opened) the Sound will fade out and in eventually. Have in mind that only happens with the internal Speaker of the phone. No headphones or external speakers.
Well moved from TurzzdROM to Gregbradley's Assaye 1.1.0 and there's no sight of the problem, Not saying that was the ROM because i did something else, that is is not enabling Clear phase in Settings/sound, I just activated Xloud and thats it.
So... Try disabling clear phase on settings and rebooting and see if that works.
I'm on JB & is it just me, but I noticed that the sound settings of ringtone & noticifactions isn't very loud.
If you use the max. volume settings, it isn't loud at all....
Any one else noticed this?
Got to work this morning. Plugged in my headphones and started to listen to music using Google play. It sounded terrible very soft a high amount of background noise. Pretty much unusable. Played the same track using HTC music app and it sounds perfect no issues what so ever. Then tried streaming so music using MOG and it sounds terrible again. Anyone else have this problem?
If it matters headphones being used are vsonic gr07.

I had an issue in car when I tried to play music from htc music app through aux/headphone jack, the music was jumpy and distorted. Had it synced to my bluetooth which it usually defaults to but it didnt this time because I plugged in aux 2nd. Anyway, did a reboot and turned off bluetooth and it worked fine. I'd try testing it with just one active connection, then add more (bluetooth/streaming etc) to see if thats your problem.
A reboot took care of it. Not sure what it was.
