Hi!
My Search and Back buttons are noticebly brighter than other two. Does it indicate some problem with phone? Should I start worry?
Thanks!

Hi,
I find the fact that the buttons under the screen keep lit until you turn the screen off annoying. I often use the tab in the dark and even if you cover them up some of their light "contaminates" the bottom area of the screen, especially with dark images.
Is there any known way to get them working back as they did on Froyo? Maybe if someone could extract the old Froyo backlight driver I could try it on my tab...

I think its a great feature, especially for using in the dark as I often pressed wrong button accidentally. However I do think there should be some sort of setting to adjust when its on all the time and when its not etc.
Try an app called blinker I think from the market.

Has anyone noticed that the capacitive buttons on the bottom of the Note are not as bright as the Skyrocket. Seems Samsung toned them down. I also noticed that my home button is a little dimmer than the other 3. Should I worry about this? And how bright are your capacitive buttons.

Wrong forum, this is the internation version, we only have the "Menu" and the "Back" keys lit up. Try this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=1493
Also: I don't have any issues with them on my N7000.
Can't see how it's a problem anyway. You do see them don't you? Why do you need them bright? Use them as front camera flash?

Oops. Sorry I did not even notice that. Thanks for the input

Changing the glass (not the digitizer). Just removed the previous glass and replaced it.
I haven´t disconnected any cables and stuff like that.
I did it sucessfully with a Galaxy S III by the way.

Sorry i have never done this. Id suppose to check the cables or reinstall the old glass....
Sorry for not having a better answer

Thank you.
it sounds like you have broken the LCD
New here in the HTC one area so please forgive me if this topic was already covered. Being new to the HTC phone I wasn't liking the soft button lights turning off during the day light so this app basically keeps button backlight always on, as long as the screen is on.
Confirmed working with HTC one. KiNDA

UPDATE: The soft lights turn off on occasion and I have to toggle the power button to turn the light back on. Bug I guess but quick minor temp fix by hitting the button
UPDATE 7-/4/13: According to solid.snake (see quote below), Capacitive Buttons Brightness Works well

It allow to keep the keypad backlight on as long as the screen is on, or it can simply switch the keypad backlight off.

Nice username.
Yeah, the One has a very stiff button, so you're going to get almost no tactile feedback when you press it. That's how it's supposed to be. If you don't like it though, there are several mods floating around this forum on ways you can raise its profile (like painting on clear nail polish).
Or just bypass it almost completely and use the modified kernels for slide to wake or double tap to wake. There's also a few other long press options too. At least that way you only use then power button to turn on and off the phone.
There also appear to be options for turning screen off through the eqs, although I haven't been able to get those to work for me. Sweep2wake/sweep2sleep is awesome. Also a great little show off for your non rooted friends!
