Woodoo louder is only for the headphones output.

i used volume+ on my galaxy nexus which had the worst volume output i have ever seen, worked like a charm though and should work similarly for the note....
I use Vodoo Louder for headphones, although I am disappointed as all hell that upgrading to ICS only gives me up to +3db boost versu the 10.5db boost I had on GB. I asked Supercurio via email, twitter, and xda, and I haven't been given a response...not sure why I support him anymore to be honest.
I now pretty much use Volume+ for BT, unit speaker, and headphones.

I heard LG has not released the source of their audio drivers ... but I'm not sure if this issue is solved? Is there voodoo kernel support for the wolfson in the LG 2x? Got 30 minutes left for an auction to bid on, speedy replies would be nice

Dude, feel free to use the search function. Search for something like "voodoo sound o2x" and I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for
Voodoo works just fine in most custom roms, I think even on stock. I'm using it on my phone, works perfectly as it's supposed to, bug-free.
Nice to hear Happy with the audio quality it delivers?
@Kiljacken
Did! But got confused by all the kernel mentioned and some "will support" sentences etc and since I have less than 20 Minutes left for the auction i got a bit panicky Sorry.

Not really that much quality improvement so far, but a bit is there and boy, do I love it! Curio says his working on something more, but knowing him right he's probably distracted by all his other projects makes us feel a little left behind, but I think that it's worth waiting for some more stuff from him.
Well as long as it sounds better than my HTC Desire HD, it'd be nice.
I noticed a large improvement, but only when using proper headphones of course, the stock ones won't make the difference audible. Audiophile headphones however, really gets improved by voodoo, bottom end is more clear, and high end is more clean, less distorted.

on miui rom it's the same. large improvement while using headphones.
voodoo sound is just awesome
Well I got some UE Triple Fi 10's .... I expect a better quality ... that's why I started the whole Wolfson endeavour, to be able to drive those in-ears properly. That's also a bit dependent on the output impendance ... I hope the one of the LG optimus 2x is very low, so the frequency response doesn't get distorted with the TF10s. There's other dreams to dream about ... a BBE sound enhancer system or so
Btw, is voodoo in the stock kernels that come with MIUI and CM7? Or do you have to flash those custom roms and after that select a specific kernel with voodoo?
Some said it worth buying since it has nice effects (like Beats emulator etc), but it generated much sound distortion while using it.. I also have DSPManager (I turned it off when I used Volume+) and it has much clearer sound! So, is it just me, or it really doesn't worth its price?
I like volume+ better since it has the ability to amplify the phone speaker sound (which DSP manager can't do.)
If you're getting distortions, maybe you're putting in too much bass?
I think voodoo sound is much better if you are talking about boosting headset.. and its free if you use kernels which has merged the voodoo control codes. If not, there's the paid plus version but only works for stock kernels.

voodoo plus works with any kernel. the app loads the sound modules it self. you only need to have root.

I have tried voodoo plus on some beta custom kernels before, it won't install the drivers needed to run because of it detects incompatible kernel. Just sharing my experience..
LilProphet:
DSP manager is better than any sound enhancement app I've ever tried, so if you're listening to music through headphones then I'd definitely recommend DSP. It also really depends on what kind of music you listen to, I know for fact that it works wonderfully with house, dubstep, hardstyle and hip-hop. Just the genres that require some nice bass boost
But I never really listened to music through the phone's speakers, so I cannot say whether or not DSP is better than the rest there.
And no, xilv3r, there's a whole bunch of kernels it does not support

I have a Galaxy Tab 2 and just picked up a Nexus 7, I cannot believe how much louder the volume level is on the Galaxy vs the Nexus.
Anyone find that their Nexus volume levels are not all that loud?
just download and install volume+ app. it'll boost your volume so loud. you'll be amazed. follow instructions after install. also do not set the volume+ ridiculously high or you can really run the risk of blowing the speakers..lol. you've been warned.
seriously, this app is the real deal. not some glorified equalizer. it truly boosts volume. root not even needed. I have this on my prime and dramatically increased volume. confirmed it with a decibel meter running same sound sample.
Search for awesome beats. I found this to help improve the sound from both my HTC one x and N7

Hi guys,
I find the volume level/loudness on the note to be low. And it is compared to many others. I just wanted to know if there is any way to increase it with movies and games on earphones/buds. Not the speaker volume.
I know DSP manager does that but that can only be used on custom roms. I need one for original samsung rom. Help please!
Anyone??
There is an app specially made for the Note called Voodoo Louder.
No need for custom rom, but you do need to Root your phone.
If not get earbuds of 16 Ohms or less. It makes a huge difference.
I use the Sennheiser CX680 myself.

I'm having an issue with distorted audio when connecting with my phone. I'm using a JVC KD-R730BT headunit if that matters. I read that some other people are having issues with bluetooth audio distortion (mainly in the higher frequencies), but no one seems to have a fix for this. Does anyone have a clue what I should do about this? I've been using an aux cable but I don't like it since I can't use headunit controls.
I remember older versions of bluetooth were so slow that you could only transmit low quality/pretty compressed audio over it. I'm not sure how much it's improved over the years, but this is certainly a possibility of your problem.
You could also try turning down the volume some on the phone. I haven't had a problem on my One distorting with max volume through aux, but I did with previous phones and mp3 players. Basically, max volume can cause the levels to peak and audio to clip - chop off the ends of the wave form. In other words, distort. See if turning the phone volume down some helps prevent this. Can't say it does as I don't use BT that often.

Turning it to about 11/15 helps a liiiittle, but it's mostly because then my volume doesn't come very loudly through the headunit so I can't hear the distortion that much.
Also, my EVO 3D and EVO LTE had no problems with this same headunit. Just this phone. I also got a replacement One since my original had light bleed and screen issues. The new and old ones both distort.
The bitpool rate is too low. I assume you're using a sense rom because that's where the problem is present. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do. HTC needs to raise the bitpool through a software update. Not even devs can do this because its closed source I believe.
AOSP roms should not have this problem.
I don't understand why they set it low in the first place. It makes no performance difference where its set from what I know. Its merely a limit raise in the code.
I explored this issue extensively on my e4gt because it had the same issue. I can link you to threads with more info later if you desire.
Rumor is that it may be fixed in the 4.2.2 update but I haven't seen it officially listed. If its there we won't know till we try it. And no telling when that'll be.

Damn HTC. That's really frustrating. Oh well. Here's hoping for the 4.2.2 update.

If this got fixed with 4.2.2 it would be amazing. It's annoying having to use the aux jack in my car with this phone when all the other phones I've had could just stream music over Bluetooth.
I wouldn't count on a fix being there though. Few users stream Bluetooth audio, of those few, only a small number notice the quality difference, and of those, only a minute number care enoungh to mention and complain about it here. So if it's on HTC's radar, it'd be nothing short of miraculous.
I'm hoping for the best with you guys though.
