I have a Galaxy Tab 2 and just picked up a Nexus 7, I cannot believe how much louder the volume level is on the Galaxy vs the Nexus.
Anyone find that their Nexus volume levels are not all that loud?
just download and install volume+ app. it'll boost your volume so loud. you'll be amazed. follow instructions after install. also do not set the volume+ ridiculously high or you can really run the risk of blowing the speakers..lol. you've been warned.
seriously, this app is the real deal. not some glorified equalizer. it truly boosts volume. root not even needed. I have this on my prime and dramatically increased volume. confirmed it with a decibel meter running same sound sample.
Search for awesome beats. I found this to help improve the sound from both my HTC one x and N7

Hi, i wanted to know if anyone knew if there is a volume hack for the Note. The max volume on the Note is appauling for music playback.
The galaxy s2 has audioboost and i wanted to ask if the Note had an equivalent or any other hack for increasing the maximum volume.
Thank you for any help.

i used volume+ on my galaxy nexus which had the worst volume output i have ever seen, worked like a charm though and should work similarly for the note....
I use Vodoo Louder for headphones, although I am disappointed as all hell that upgrading to ICS only gives me up to +3db boost versu the 10.5db boost I had on GB. I asked Supercurio via email, twitter, and xda, and I haven't been given a response...not sure why I support him anymore to be honest.
I now pretty much use Volume+ for BT, unit speaker, and headphones.
Hi guys,
I find the volume level/loudness on the note to be low. And it is compared to many others. I just wanted to know if there is any way to increase it with movies and games on earphones/buds. Not the speaker volume.
I know DSP manager does that but that can only be used on custom roms. I need one for original samsung rom. Help please!
Anyone??
There is an app specially made for the Note called Voodoo Louder.
No need for custom rom, but you do need to Root your phone.
If not get earbuds of 16 Ohms or less. It makes a huge difference.
I use the Sennheiser CX680 myself.

I would like to gauge how many people have had problems with their Nexus 6 speakers. Many have reported a crackling from either speaker at certain instances (myself included). One easy way to test this for yourself is to play the stock ringtone "Ganymede" at full volume and you should be able to tell if there are any issues. It is also evident that my top speaker crackles at various time throughout a call. Basically I'm trying to figure out if all of these devices are like this or if I'm being picky (I've already done an RMA and my replacement device has the same issue). Here is a good demonstration of what I'm talking about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dcElCL9u3w
My speakers sound just fine at full volume playing Ganymede. I'm not running stock though. Rooted and running 1/20/2015 Chroma ROM, Franco #9 kernel with vomer tweaks/ quad conservative.

I seem to get some popping and crackling at full volume, depending on content. Also, the stereo balance seems off, the speaker at the top of the phone sounds louder.

I guess I've just chalked the issue up to hardware. It happens on stock for both the original and replacement device, as well as CleanROM with Franco kernel. Does Chroma have any audio changes that you know of? I'm not too familiar with Vomer tweaks either. Maybe I'll try another ROM.
Audio FX is all I know. Check out the log. Great ROM, awesome developer and a good community in the forum.

Hey Ho
In my free time i have develop an app (made in one hour) by far not ready, but i thing you can test them.
The features are Headphone analog Volume up to +1 .
High Performance mode.
Tune Speaker more bass and good balance without distortion.
Louder speaker mod but with the tune speaker mode with less bass (to reduce distortion).
This is not a big thing but i can learn developing android apps and why not share it
ther will be bass boost mode.
- save settings and boot
- headphone plugin set
usw..
but without eta:silly:
need Alsamixer driver !!!
link down for the first alpha release
You should share it in android development and hacking thread to get more testers.
Too bad for you i'm not into music or audio thing, so i can't test it.
