Any way to increase volume levels on earphones? - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys,
I find the volume level/loudness on the note to be low. And it is compared to many others. I just wanted to know if there is any way to increase it with movies and games on earphones/buds. Not the speaker volume.
I know DSP manager does that but that can only be used on custom roms. I need one for original samsung rom. Help please!

Anyone??

There is an app specially made for the Note called Voodoo Louder.
No need for custom rom, but you do need to Root your phone.
If not get earbuds of 16 Ohms or less. It makes a huge difference.
I use the Sennheiser CX680 myself.

Volume+ app

Some said it worth buying since it has nice effects (like Beats emulator etc), but it generated much sound distortion while using it.. I also have DSPManager (I turned it off when I used Volume+) and it has much clearer sound! So, is it just me, or it really doesn't worth its price?
I like volume+ better since it has the ability to amplify the phone speaker sound (which DSP manager can't do.)
If you're getting distortions, maybe you're putting in too much bass?
I think voodoo sound is much better if you are talking about boosting headset.. and its free if you use kernels which has merged the voodoo control codes. If not, there's the paid plus version but only works for stock kernels.

voodoo plus works with any kernel. the app loads the sound modules it self. you only need to have root.

I have tried voodoo plus on some beta custom kernels before, it won't install the drivers needed to run because of it detects incompatible kernel. Just sharing my experience..
LilProphet:
DSP manager is better than any sound enhancement app I've ever tried, so if you're listening to music through headphones then I'd definitely recommend DSP. It also really depends on what kind of music you listen to, I know for fact that it works wonderfully with house, dubstep, hardstyle and hip-hop. Just the genres that require some nice bass boost
But I never really listened to music through the phone's speakers, so I cannot say whether or not DSP is better than the rest there.
And no, xilv3r, there's a whole bunch of kernels it does not support

Hi, i wanted to know if anyone knew if there is a volume hack for the Note. The max volume on the Note is appauling for music playback.
The galaxy s2 has audioboost and i wanted to ask if the Note had an equivalent or any other hack for increasing the maximum volume.

i used volume+ on my galaxy nexus which had the worst volume output i have ever seen, worked like a charm though and should work similarly for the note....
I use Vodoo Louder for headphones, although I am disappointed as all hell that upgrading to ICS only gives me up to +3db boost versu the 10.5db boost I had on GB. I asked Supercurio via email, twitter, and xda, and I haven't been given a response...not sure why I support him anymore to be honest.
I now pretty much use Volume+ for BT, unit speaker, and headphones.

Nexus Volume Level

I have a Galaxy Tab 2 and just picked up a Nexus 7, I cannot believe how much louder the volume level is on the Galaxy vs the Nexus.
Anyone find that their Nexus volume levels are not all that loud?
just download and install volume+ app. it'll boost your volume so loud. you'll be amazed. follow instructions after install. also do not set the volume+ ridiculously high or you can really run the risk of blowing the speakers..lol. you've been warned.
seriously, this app is the real deal. not some glorified equalizer. it truly boosts volume. root not even needed. I have this on my prime and dramatically increased volume. confirmed it with a decibel meter running same sound sample.
Search for awesome beats. I found this to help improve the sound from both my HTC one x and N7

Audio routed to A2DP is full-scale at max volume. There's no more increase to be done on the phone side.
I'm not going to search for you, but somewhere in nexus threads are.instructions to increase volumes for all outputs (spkrs, bluetooth, jack). Involves modding file. If you can handle that then you can find the answer. I read the thread. Good luck.

Granted that thread says it mods all volumes, it only mods the headphone jack volume. I have tried it. I have not found a way to boost Bluetooth volume.
