I would like to flash cwm from the rom manager app but when it prompts me to confirm device, only optimus 2x and optimus 3d appear, now I know that the thrill and optimus 3d are pretty much the same but will it matter if I choose optimus 3d to confirm? Thanks!

Try this.
1.unmount sd card.
2.download app
3.open app, once you've done this mount sd card again
should work for any app that says download unsuccessful in gingerbread 2.3

i have CM7 installed on my optimus 2x few days ago. then i need to sync my data back to my optimus 2x but i've tried few many times, and the result still.. i never success to do the sync with LG PC suite. is there anyone can help me with it?
or maybe i should install back the official firmware? but i don't know how to do it? Please somebody help me to resolve the problem.. i'm quite frustated..

You can't use LG PC - suite on cm7.

I can recomend myphoneexplorer. You need a client app on the phone and the myphoneexplorer software on the pc. Don't know if it really works with cm but i think so.

Hmm, I tried it .., but when I started the game Asphalt 6 3D my phone froze and was not possible to close the game. After this I change my ROM to Thriller and for now the phone is well.

Well using the mount command all blocks are ext4 except system which is ext3 anybody else confirm this since I have been messing around with my partitions lately. In terminal just type mount and press enter
Don't you also lose your HSPA+ (aka 4G aka Faux G) with the Optimus 3D ROM's?

Then use root explorer copy the launcher apk from the sys/app folder and attempt to transfer it to your o2x and see if it installs if it fails backup and replace your current lg launcher and copy it to your o2x sys/app folder mount and try to install again and see if it doesn't force close I'm sure it will work. But iv seen it and it looks identical.

I tried first to install the apk but it failed, then i replace itwith root explorer (i modified the permisions like the original) and then when i reboot it force closed.... i tried to replace then tote LGLauncher.odex and the Launcher was deleted ). Then i put the original odex and apk and work like usual old one... If there's a way to install it like on optimus one it would be greate...

From what I understand, he said he tried the direct install method and the replace file using root explorer method, both failed.

I take it your optimus black is running 2.2 froyo not gingerbread, this launcher seems to only be compatable with froyo, does the optimus black have gingerbread yet try extracting the home launcher from the blacks gingerbread rom.

If by chance he is not using GB, we can still get the 2.0 launcher from stock rom cwm flash file from optimus black section on xda. Right?

The ui 2.0 don't work with our o2x not because it comes from a froyo rom, but because our android framework needs to be patched. In fact some guys managed to port 2.0 widgets adding some LG classes to the framework.

I have tried LGLauncher fron Optimus Black 20N (2.3.4 GB) and the same stupid message!!! FORCE CLOSE
My lg optimus 2x freezes when i use 2G network? It's freezes or rebooting, sometimes i need reflash rom or use backup, this problem broke my system, when it's running on orginal rom or some of v20 rom edition's.
And the 2nd problem is that what i cant use last 15-20% battery power its freezes. This isue is on all rom's...
It's device h/w problem or software problem?

Tried to change the Baseband and RIL combination....it is one of the major reasons...
CM 7 is best in BB218 and RIL combo...(some have good results in BB823 too)RIL should be only Froyo versions and not GB.
Go to android market, install the application called GetRIL.
Select the most suitable ril and flash. It should help with the signal!

No, no, what you need to do is to select RIL corresponding to your Base Band so the bst course of action is to install "recommended" one or one of equivalents. Please note that sometimes even equivalents may make problems - I had to install a few of them until I matched the one that worked the best.
