Battery Mod Tool - Xoom Themes and Apps

This is a great battery mod found in Eee pad transformer forum that is tested and works well on xoom EOS ics
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1593383
And one more series of icons which unfortunately I dont remember where I got them which is a battery that changes color while charging and discharging

EOS has built in battery mod, where you have a bunch of options.
Color, battery, or switch to %, or even both.
Not trying to insult/offend but the green really doesn't flow well.
Here is what I use on eos
Bottom right corner.
The 44 is battery charge, i took the % symbol out, its just personal preference.
but thanks for sharing, I do like the mod tho, just not green.
Sorry again if it sounds like an attack/insult.

[KERNEL][AOSP][TESTING] Superior Battery Charging- 12/25/10 update!

What's good Droid Inc users? I've been working on a charging mod for the Evo that is showing excellent results and seems to prevent the quick drop a lot of android phones get right off the charger from overnight charging. This is just a test kernel btw. Invisiblek added the tweak twice, but the Incredible charging voltages were exceeding that limit, so to save him some time, I've compiled a kernel from his souce and I will be using this thread for testing and once we get it 100%, I'll send him the final code and then he can put it in his kernel.
I would test this out myself but I do not have an Incredible. But this should work for the Incredible because the Incredible and Evo share the same battery drivers. The only thing that needs to be fixed now is voltage limitations. The Incredible can reach higher charging voltages than the Evo. Once we find the right limit for everyone, we'll be all good and your battery life should increase by 1-2 hours (some people have been able to go 6 hours just on the first 10%).
Features:
-Trickle Charging
-Charges extended batteries (and stock batteries) to maximum capacity.
-And everything else that you would find in his kernel

Any chance on a sense version of this?
cant wait to test this kernel!!!
Since this is built from his source, it should contain the multitouch patch as well, correct?

Downloading, will test on OMGB rom.
Forget charging, what about overheating? Lol the charging is cool though, I'll probably try it out.

It allows up to ten points to register instead of just 2.
Just flashed this kernel running CM #184 will leave it on the charger overnight and let you know how it goes
Which verion of invisiblek's kernel did you use as a base?
I think I am missing something on your github repo. As far as I can tell, the changes you made to arch/arm/mach-msm/htc_battery.c are all in spacing/formatting and not actually altering the code. Can you point me in the right direction here? I would love to try to add these changes into my kernel as well (github), but I am really not seeing the changes...
Any help would be appreciated. And thanks for the great work!
my battery was fully charged before I flashed this kernel, plugged in my charger til the green light came on again(im not bump charging), so with my battery at 97% after the unplug, ive been at 97% for the last 20 mins. Usually by now im down to 90%. As far as overheating...im running at 1.13 as all is fine...soo far so good
Quick question, do you still have to plug this into the wall outlet or can this be charged to maximum capacity through the USB cable to your computer now too? I lost my adapter for the wall so I always have to charge from my computer, which I don't mind.

Incrediblek is baked into that ROM, so I would be shocked if this modified version didn't work.

the charging aspect is great and battery drop is minimal...although, Im having issues with signal bars and 3g it goes from 0 bars w/ 3g, If i have full bars I get 1x instead of 3g...and this will alternate..im using the 2.15 radio...never been an issue before

Haven't had that problem yet. Will be on the lookout though.

[Q] Looking for the most battery efficient rom/kernel combo

I am going to be traveling in Asia for a month. I don't need any of bells and whistles and I want a phone that is very stable, very energy efficient and GPS camera definitely has to works. Which rom/kernel will you recommend? any setting tricks? Thanks
I have tried Rod's MiuiMod, CM6.1.1, CM7 and many others.
I found that CM7 + WM 1/6/2011 kernel gives me the best battery life, but CM7 is still not in stable stage yet.
I have had the most battery life with Enomthers Rom, currently he is away on personal responsibilities but his latest stable rom is very battery efficient!
I have no recommendation as to kernel/rom combinations, but for long battery life I use this:
http://www.amazon.com/Seidio-Innocell-Battery-Google-Replacement/dp/B003FSTBP4/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1296521084&sr=8-2
I got really tired of barely making through a day without having to recharge so I bought one of these. I got mine for $61 on Amazon and free shipping. It's 3200mah which is over twice the stock battery. My first full charge/discharge cycle I got over 34 hours of moderate usage and it's supposed to get better after a few charge cycles. It does make your phone about 30-40% thicker (comes with it's own custom battery cover), but for the battery life you get it's well worth the added thickness. I also find it's a little easier to hold on to.
Anyway, maybe not the solution you're looking for but for me it was well worth the money.
Just my 2 cents.

That's one big battery Thanks tho, but I want my N1 to stay small.
I second the recommendation for Enomther's. Rock-stable.
I have no combo recommendation cuz I haven't found a really good one yet. Right now I'm using cm6.1 and wild monks kernel. It's been decent for me. But I suggest using set cpu, put on power save mode when you don't use the phone. It'll be there forever. Turn off data connection and gps as well. Also using less like half the animation helps speed up the phone and saves battery too.
Ps I'm combining inexus theme too and their icons plus the animations are amazing! My phone looks colorful as hell!

Lol yea it does add some bulk but it sure is reassuring to know I don't have worry about my battery dying before the day is over. I use my phone a lot and don't have time to really recharge it much and I don't like the idea of carrying extra batteries so this works very well for me.
I haven't done too many Roms, but miui has given me the most battery life out of stock, cm and miui.
I've been travelling and I managed to get 4-5 days with minimal calls and very light usage. If you use it normally with wifi and regular calls, 2-3 days is usually the limit.
Both these numbers are with auto airplane mode during my sleep hours.

What i have heard is that CM7 is 20-30% more efficient with battery life than CM6
Not true

In my personal opinion, CM7 Nightlies are really stable. After a real heavy usage i.e. playing games, surfing, calls, messages, i get about 15 hours a day.
My phone is fully charged when I leave at 8 and by 8 pm battery will be somewhere between 40 and 45 % left.
Bugs are there with CM7 Nightlies but so far I haven't had any problems with it.
Recently I've been through about 3 roms, and of the three (rod's, micromod's own GB aosp, and leo's GB aosp, leo's gives me the best battery life.
It might be because he incorporated the battery driver, though.

Juice defender - Is it worth it?

I had heard about it before. Installed it a couple of days before to see if it really helps. The app says that my battery life is improved by 1.57x. But I don't see any improvement!
Does it make sense using it with custom roms?
I am running CM7 gearhead kang.

I prefer green power over JD. I had the paid version of both and think green power got more accomplished with less battery drain than JD. Now don't get me wrong I did notice a tiny increase in battery when I had JD, but it seems like a bigger increase with green power and it feels like it uses less resources to me with that. But in the end I guess it comes down to personal preferences, hope I helped!
Thanks for the info. With JD I don't see any improvement at all.
I will try green power

battery mod

I see alot of these battery mods with the percentage which is cool but have been on gummy for awhile, and I have a battery mod that looks like a tach or a gauge, with percent...I'm going to aokp because I like the quad lockscreen and I really like red synergy... how would I be able to make this cool gauge batt mod to work with aokp and red synergy?

Awesome WildChild! Hope that there will be a way to mod the LCD auto-brightness settings in that Tweaks app and 1% stock battery icons with no percentage... that's the 2 things I always have to mod on every ROM. I don't like how HTC thinks 75 is the lowest it should go, 30 is much better on the eyes in pitch black rooms, and 20% increments is just crazy talk.

In the video it shows near the end the ability to change the lcd brightness but I don't believe there is a percentage battery mod available. For gb there was but I think they had some problems with ics. Maybe in the future they will figure it out!
thanks for the work and glad to see you on the boards
Well modding this aspect will also cause reboot issues this is why its set as it is....anything under whats its programmed to be set at and it can cause issues

Really, because I've been running pirateghost's stock ICS rooted ROM with both mods since middle of last month and have never had an issue of a reboot or anything else for that matter. I modded the LCD brightness to increments of 30 50 75 100 125 150 etc. I also haven't had any problems with 1% battery increments. Looking forward to your release, it looks like you guys have added lots of goodies.
Theres no problems with modding it, its if you lower it too much....itll cause reboots as it is set too low and i guess the sensors trip and it just reboots....battery mods arent an issue either....reason i said this is to alleviate those who would try this and screw something up, which is more people then you can shake a stick at

Ah ha ok, that makes sense. Noob-proof it I couldn't imagine going much lower, I tired 25 & couldn't really make out colors. I kinda wish I could figure out how to mod it like the Motorolas, the framework I pulled from one had at least 10 auto brightness levels.
