Droid 3 - No code request, unlock impossible - Motorola Droid 3

Hello guys,
sorry for the question but I didn't find any help on google so I decided to ask here. I have the following problem. I've bought a refurbished Verizon Droid 3 on ebay and today it was in my mailbox. I've bought an unlock code from unlock4moto and after that I wanted to type in the code. So I insert my sim Card from "o2 germany", turned on the Droid 3 and typed in my Pin but after that I have no possibilty to type in the unlock Code. There's the little Android men wit "Welcome to Droid 3, touch the android to begin" but I can't touch him and no code request appears. I can switch the language and make an emergency call but nothing more. I've waited over 30 minutes, one time with the foreign Sim and a turned off Droid 3 and one time turned on. I hope you can help me because I become desperate :/
Thank you!

Lols what you do is press the language first and then press the little android guy. It should continue.

Thank you for your fast response, but that is the point. I can switch languages but nothing appears. I cant touch the android. It doesnt switch the screen and no code request appears.

I would turn on the phone holding the x (I think it's the x) and then press the volume buttons at the same time... and then format everything.
That should do the trick.
Then click language select yours, and then click the Android guy.
I'm new to these forums too.

Yeah, then the bp/black menu appears, but where is the point to format everything? I only see recovery and bp tools and so on? Sorry for my questions but I am a damn noob and I only want to unlock my phone
Edit: Ok, done. But doesn't work to. Why the hell I can't press the damn Android and no Network Code field appears? Its frustrating me...
Edit 2: Well, I've done it a couple times. Now it works. Thank you very, very much!

You're welcome :]

I also attempted to flash RC7, but the same thing happens.
I don't know any of the phone's information because I'm stuck at the Google Activation.

First off, Don't you go to school for so-so years and learn proper grammar as well as spelling and other various things. Please use them, you only seem foolish and add in to the "We Don't Want to Help You" Factor.
Now, I tried to "Decrypt" this message of Nothingness, please let me know If I have, what ever, straight, and then fix the "Whate happened here?!" part.

[Q] Security Locked Galaxy Conundrum

Hi guys,
I honestly thing that this is a unique situation. I have done a lot of searching, not just here but on Googlez as well, and no one seems to present a solution for me.
I have a Galaxy S that I received yesterday. I thought this was going to be a new hand set but it has been used. I know this because the previous user has set a pattern lock that I don't know on it.
So I have been trying to wipe this phone so that I can use it. I have tried a lot of avenues and yet nothing has worked. Here is what I have tried:
Reboot Into Recovery Mode : I believe I have tried every button combination to get into the recovery/maintenance mode so I can select wipe. However, when I try a combination (for example holding vol down and power) the phone gets to the initial boot logo, goes black, shows the same logo again, goes back, and repeats this in a loop until I let go of one of the buttons. When I do that it boots normally.
So this seems to indicate that the recovery mode on this phone is broken. Anyone else have any ideas with this bit?
ADB : Ok, so I turn the phone on to the lock screen. Then I plug in the USB cable to the computer. First, the device drive unsuccessfully installs on Win 7 every time. Then I fire up CMD, navigate to my ADB folder, and run 'adb devices' this just returns an empty list of devices attached.
I assume that based on the results of ADB that 'debugging via usb' is not turned no. I cannot turn this on because I'm locked out. Anyone know a way round this?
Special Code : Apparently there's a special code that can be entered on these Galaxy S devices when in the phone normally to wipe it. You have to enter this code via the Dialer (my mate tells me the code is '*2767*3855#'). I can't get to the normal dialer because I'm locked out so I try and use the Emergency Dialer. However, this proves unsuccessful as the phone just tells me that the code is not an emergency number.
At the moment I cannot see a way to fix this phone. It is impossible to find who used this phone before me.
Any ideas are welcome.
Before anyone Calls BS on this "Stolen Phone" its not and it is legit i can verify that the phone is legit and defiantly not stolen.
If I bought a "new" phone which is actually a "used" phone, I would return it!
And if it is legal, that should not be the Problem.
Anyway:
For the normal way to unlock the phone if you forgott your pattern you need the gmail account.
Without adb or 3-button-mode your phone is kind of useless.
He is just doing the combo wrong if you ask me. Hold the buttons until you see the initial bootscreen and then let go. If it doesn't work, 3 key combo might indeed be disabled

It was not purchased it was given as a competition and there was nothing stipulating that the handset would be new.
Obviously the competition handset had been used as a demo before being given out as a prize and they had forgot to factory reset the handset before giving it out.
Problem is Gmail, lock pattern, adb (doesn't seem to work as usb debug must have been left of) , and recovery wont work by the looks of things. Also tried to call the handset and press back button but must have updated FW
The people who held the comp have been notified but obviously where there is an android problem you guys know your onions so we ended up posting here.
I was just about to say the same thing as Kenneth. This is indeed a device won through a competition with Samsung them selves.
What combinations of buttons are talking about? I've tried and read about a lot, but would like to what you guys think the combination should be.
Any combination does seem to do the same thing though:
Hold down till the logo appears the release = Normal Boot
Hold down till the initial logo changes to a black screen = Normal Boot
VolUp+Home+Power is the one i am talking about
Wait until u get the white text logo and release as soon as you see it. If it doesn't work, combo is broken and the phone will indeed be useless until you can get the right pattern
You should try it like this and stick to the order!
Hold Volume up + Home (sqaure bottun in the midle) + Power on
When Galaxy S (white on black) appears you can release all buttons. It should go to recovery, if not this mode is disabled on your phone.
Even so I would try to swap it! If it is from Samsung itself that should not be a Problem at all.
OH... MY... DAYS!
Ok! The three button combination, and then releasing it as soon as the logo appeared, worked. I have successfully wiped the phone and am in.
Great advice guys. Thanks.
Thanks from me as well quick response and always awesome knowledge.
Oddly enough the combinations from vodafone uk and others were different so you guys are amazing.
Cheers Kenny
Thread moved to Q&A.
I am in the same situation and the 3-combo combination doesn't work .
It doesn't communicate either ...

HELP - Pin code on lock screen saying it is incorrect with latest firmware

Giuys
Now this is weird and I tried turning off phone and on again but to no avail. I updated to the latest firmware (over the air) for my Xperia Z and I noticed some weird behaviour ... 1 Google + is now crashing 2 Some times upon pressing the power button the backlight of the display comes on but the mobile does not and I would have to turn it off again and back on to get it on. And now the latest surprise is ..... I CANNOT go past my lock screen . I am inserting the correct pin ,,,, the one I usually use and now I am desperate because I DONT want to lose the data that's in it. I know I can re-flash the mobile and resolve the issue but I have some photos which I really wish to keep as they have emotional value. So I want to avoid the route of doing a hard reset yet.
Thing is after I inserted the pincode and its saying its wrong for a number of times ... I expected the forgot password button to turn up on the lock screen but it is not ... Could anyone kindly explain to m e how to get this forgot password to come up on my numeric lock screen ? Everything is stock and the phone has wifi and 3g set to off ....
Please help !! I don't want to lose what's in my mobile.
Kind Regards

Are you able to tap on "emergency call" on the lockscreen? If yes, go ahead and tap it. It should open up the dialpad then type in *#*#7378423#*#* . It should open up the service menu. At the service menu, navigate to "service tests" ---> "NFC" and let the test run. Once the test compleates, go ahead and tap the "home" button. You should see you homescreen.
Hope it helps

Tried to test it for myself without having problems with my pin lockscreen. But this doesn't work. A window pops up and tells me that this is not an emergency number.

If that fails as well, i think its better to contact Sony Customer Service and check if they could help but to be honest with you, high chances are there that they will advice you to perform a hard reset. Sorry dude :/

Cannot unlock the phone with broken power button

Hi all,
First of all, I would like to say that as a new user, I am not sure if this is the right forum to post this question at. If it is not, I would be happy to be redirected to an appropriate forum.
I have a Moto 5G plus phone. About 4 months ago, my power button has died. All attempts in fixing it have failed, so I ultimately downloaded an app called "Volume unlocker" that allowed me to lock/unlock the phone using the volume buttons. This allowed me to keep using the phone for the next 4 months without a problem.
4 months later, I encountered a new problem: when I try to unlock my phone, when I enter my (correct) password, the screen goes black for about 2 seconds, and then I am asked to enter my password again, in an infinite loop. Note that if I enter a wrong password, the phone says that the password is incorrect. This happened all of the sudden, without updating anything or installing a new app. When the phone is locked, I am able to do some stuff like using the camera, activating the torch, and using the Assistant (basically, all the stuff I can usually do without unlocking the phone). If I enter the assistant, and while I am at the assistant I am trying to unlock the phone, once I enter my (correct) password the phone says "System UI has stopped".
All the solutions I found online required either restarting the phone, doing anything that requires the power button, which as previously mentioned does not work, or having debugging mode on, which unfortunately is off and it doesn't seem like I am able to turn it on without unlocking the phone. So I am stuck locked and have no idea how to fix that.
At this point, I guess that any solution that would at least let me extract my personal data e.g. personal photos would be enough for now.
I have also talked with Motorala but they were not helpful at all.
Thank you very much!
