I saw that you could buy Samsung Warranty when you buy the SG Note on eBay. Is there ANY way we could purchase a US warranty for our international Note?
Thanks
There is a 1 year international manufacturer warranty on the Samsung galaxy note. Depending on where you purchased it from, you could have purchased an extended warranty, but if you have already purchased a Note you cannot extend it, I believe.
Hi, i know theres one yr warranty for country of origin but i am in the US

I am really not sure but i guess there might be a possibility to extend your warranty even after purchase. This could be an external offer (google for it with the right keywords) and yes indeed... it will cost some bucks :-(
On the other hand: Don't worry about your new Galaxy Note... this sophisticated piece of hardware will perform without any problems for a long time (a good handle assumed!) or it will show any failures in the beginning. And for that rare situation the standard warranty should be enough. Just my 2 cents ;-)
I think India warranty doesnt work in US

European models have 2 year warranty
I have a European note,
Apologies for newbie question,
Is the warranty automatically in place, do you have to register online and if so is there a direct link or do have to go via international Samsung website?
I have no idea which section, one would ask this question
I've literally just now registered my Galaxy Note, I'm not sure if you HAVE to register it online before the warranty becomes valid but I figured I should do so incase. It explains about mobile warranties on the Samsung site but unfortunately I can't post the link, sorry.
If you have a European phone in the US you don't have the benefit of the Samsung warranty unless you ordered through Expansys or somewhere similar like Negri. If you bought it at a place like a secondhand importer you are **** out of luck. And even with the warranty through Expansys and Negri you have to send them your phone which they send to Samsung in Europe so I can't imagine the turn around is very fast.

The question at hand though is: can i buy US warranty? Like how Apple products can? Or any third party insurance companies here in the US cover the int. model?

Where can i buy in-ear earphone for the Note? the one received with the Note got damaged (by me). can not find a similar piece with volume and media (audio) controls. Please guide if these can be bought from some store in Mumbai.
Have you asked in mobile stores or looked on the web?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk
Yes... I looked up several online Indian sites and equired at leading retail stores. Surprisingly even the most basic accessory with call management system is not available for such an expensive and good phone
Have you spoke to Samsung?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using Tapatalk
Yes... They too have the answer as 'no'. Very very surprising as the phone is doing quite well in India. Ppl will require genuine accessories
Thats not good.
Have you looked on E Bay?

I visited ebay.in and found few sellers with the required earphone. But the prices varied a lot and honestly some friends have had issues with products purchased using that site. Though the seller refunds/replaces the product, it is very time consuming process and constant follow up is required. How do these guys have it with them when even samsung retail stores do not, is the question. Anyways thanks for the suggestion.
Because they buy them as Samsung does not seem to be interested.

hmmmm. thanks guess this will be the only way.
After using my unlocked Dell Streak 5 on T-Mobile for over a year (seemed like an eternity at 2G speeds), I just got the Note.... What a SWEET device!!

No stores in my area carry the note, so I orders from walmart. Been on the art version for 4 months and can't wait to get back to hspa+ speeds.
Hey auds.... I wish you Godspeed in getting your Note.... Mine took about a week to arrive (ordered through Customer Retention dept. at T-Mobile)..... The week seemed like forever, but keep your chin up..... It's WELL worth the wait

Well, damned Walmart cancelled my order. Chatted with CSR for 20 min, she didn't know what happened, so I ordered again and got on chat right away so it wouldn't get cancelled, but it did. Don't know if it was out of stock or what. Just a pisser. I have to call T-Mo as none of the stores in the Portland area have it yet. I hate waiting.
Auds.... I've read on several reputable websites that WireFly is selling it for $179 (with contract.... New or existing customer)... You might want to check that out.... Let me know how it turns out Good luck!

New customer, yes, great price. Make sure you go to wireflyfriends.com, not the regular wirefly website. Had to hunt around for that info, when I couldn't find it at the 179 price on the regular Wirefly website.
For existing TMobile customers, you must be upgrade eligible when you order. I placed my order, and it came back denied because I'm not yet eligible for handset upgrade. The non-upgrade price is much more.
12 Years with T-Mo can pay off!

I went through T-Mo retention and was able to wrangle a $150 price (plus a SGS3 for $180 and a free SGS2)! I'm supposed to be receiving all my goodies today. I had to check yesterday since the automated system kept telling me I had nothing in transit.
For all those customers that wonder, 12 years as a customer does pay off sometimes!
Good to hear!! Mine is on backorder through TMo cust loyalty....grrrr.....
Spich...
I wasn't going to divuldge the price, but I too, got mine for $149 through T-Mobile Customer Retention for $149... I think I did pay extra (in addition to the $149), for express shipping (well worth it.... Note was delivered to my front door 3-days later)

Also... If you haven't ordered the "USB OTG" adapter, it's the coolest accessory ever.... I paid $15 through Amazon w/ free shipping.... It lets you plug USB devices (like key-chain thumb drives), directly into your Note.... Way cool!! (but I haven't tried it with other USB devices like keyboards yet)

i just ordered mine. called it in on the 17th and is shipped today. through tmo customer loyalty. got it for $149.99
Welcome, x3man..... You're gonna love it!

The otg adapters can be had for 2-3 bucks each on amazon or eBay, look around a little and you can find them cheaper but it really is one of the best accessories you can grab, nothing like being able to copy to and from a USB flash drive while out with your phone only.
Yep i love it already but i am scared to drop it. Doesnt fit on my hand all that well. Had it for one day, its rooted and installed ubuntu chroot check out my post from developer section. Otg work great with keyboard mouse combo

Anyone else bought their camera from Jessops uk ? what happens to the warranty now they are in administration?
I bought mine from Jessops but don't worry, your warranty is with Samsung and you can deal directly with them in event of a claim.

Hi apprentice thanks for the reply seems not many people bought from Jessops, i see they have now gone kaput same as Comet .the warranty when you buy anything in the uk is in fact with the shop you purchased from what you mentioned is the manufactures warranty which is a different thing altogether i e if you bought a Sony tv from Currys and it failed you would be able to claim from Currys not Sony.
True but that's only if you purchased a separate warranty from Jessops. In the UK You are covered under the manufacturer's guarantee in all cases of defect, provided you registered the product and have the receipt.
The only disadvantage would be having to send the camera back with inevitable delays in getting it repaired or replaced.
You won't in essence be stuck with a fault that cannot be rectified through Samsung.

Relax were okay even with extended jessops care who is underwritten by domestic and general

Bit of a pisser though if someone had vouchers or had ordered stuff online and didn't get their stuff

Once upon a time I had a a job... lol
Still, like the poster above said, Jessops Care Plan/Photo+ are backed by Domestic and General so you should be fine.

Condolence buddy hope you manage to find something else soon. I loved jessops the staff at my local store in the trafford centre were extreemly knowledgable they seriously loved their jobs and we're in my opinion camera enthusiast first and sales person second. I numerous times went in after buying my slr for help and they helped me no question asked
It is a real doing shame jessops was one of the only stores you can go on try and then buy online can't replace that

I received a new S5 from Vodafone business (free on a plan for the company)
It failed with touchscreen issues day 2.
Phone up the business account manager for a replacement (you'd think they'd just send out a new one and send a prepayed courier bag for the faulty return)
But no...
Had to courier it back to Vodafone so they could then send it to Samsung service, as supposedly Samsung require all products to be thoroughly investigated for errors before any replacements/returns etc.
Well after 4 WEEKS or waiting and multiple complaints about the time of getting a replacement for a brand new phone, eventually it arrived hand delivered by the Vodafone account manger (Remember this one was almost a DOA as day 2 it failed).
He said Samsung wouldnt replace it because it wasnt returned with all parts as original (of course it was returned with all parts in the original box and even rewrapped in the original plastic inside the box so it was 100% OEM in perfect condition) so that was complete bull**** from Samsung repair.
It was returned to us in simple bubble wrap with just the phone, no box, no cables, no charger, no nothing. (So now if it fails again at least Samsung can say again they cant replace it because its not wit the original parts, because THEY DIDNT SEND ANY IN THE FIRST PLACE)
The account manager then says that they dont recommend Samsung for businesses as the repair system is sub-par and they have constant issues with Samsung in New Zealand and instead recommend Iphone for ALL business users as they will replace without issue within 24hrs or less for ANY problems.
Of course i don't personally want an Iphone, but will definetly no longer be getting any Samsungs for the company after this sort of ridiculous treatment.
Thanks but no thanks Samsung, great tech, great screen, but ZERO service. = No more sales to us.

Wow that sucks. The only good thing with US carriers is that we get free overnight replacements. Good luck finding a phone that works for you.
I'm not suprise you had this kind issue with NZ Vodafone. pretty sure that's not Samsung problem.
I swith from Vodafone to NZ Telecom 4 years ago. always get the best quality handset and top service.
Vodafone NZ ? no and never again.

Vodafone is responsible for it not Samsung.
