Sure, can you send us one?

If I send mine to you, I won't care about Block Story anymore because I won't be able to play it when you optimize it Don't you have any friends that have it? I would send one to you if I had money to buy a new one for me

It was more of a joke , but if someone actually wants to go the extra mile, and send it to us for a couple of days it would be enough. We would return it right back.
We would like very much to optimize for this device, It is a matter of time before we do it.

I'm glad to hear that

I tried the buttons on my Xperia Play and the arrow buttons (d-pad) work for moving around, and the O button acts as jump. You can't really play with the buttons though because you can't move the camera.

This is good news. Better than we expected.
Just for the heck of it, can you please try going to settings -> control, scrolling down and enabling USB mouse support.
With some luck that will get the camera working with the buttons.

Another thing to try is using tilt control. Go to settings -> control, and click the tilt button.
This allows you to turn with the accelerometer.

I tried now, the touchpad doesn't work with USB mouse support. Tilt control works though! I didn't think of using that...
There has to be some info on the internet on how to implement the touchpads. The "joysticks" are actually one big multitouch touchpad, so if you find some info it should be easy to make it work, since you already have mouse support! It should work like in Minecraft PE, where it works as a touchpad rather than a joystick, because it's better for turning around the camera in games like yours. I'm willing to test if you want!
EDIT: This is a tutorial from Sony for the touchpads http://developer.sonymobile.com/wp/2011/02/13/xperia-play-touch-pad/

Thank you for the information. I found some documentation too for the framework we are using:

If you are willing to test for us, then great, we are going to try to add touchpad support, and will be sending you something soon to test.

Cool, I'm glad you're willing to add support for it

Thanks for looking into the Xperia play integration , looks great so far!

Good to hear this.
This is not a "fake minecraft" btw, this is a different game, that resembles Infiniminer and Minecraft in that there is a world made out of blocks. But honestly that is where the similarities end. You can tell by our mobs, tools and quests that we are not trying to copy Minecraft at all.

Addicted. Blows mind craft away. But really their not even close to being the same. I'm buying!

As for updates on this, check the main site / forums to stay tuned and find the download link, I have too many topics to manage here.

Eagerly awaiting this one as well!
OP, are you going to be using an on screen d-pad input for this or implement a type of on screen analog stick (not unlike the iPhones Doom Resurrection)?
Because they seem much more free-flowing, so to speak. Especially in FPS games.
Or even better- a dual-analog input like most consoles FPS games (left analog for movement and direction & right analog for freelook?) could that be possible? I think that would definitely make the playing experience much more enjoyable.
Anyways, good luck!

As of right now it's a mix between a D-pad and analog stick sortof. But I may go for a complete analog feel.. That's a good idea.
Also, BRILLIANT idea with the flipped landscape so you can use the volume rocker for input ;D

Yes it is truly amazing ease of access.
Is it possible to use the six axis accelerometer to control the look/aim? That would eliminate the use of the bottom right analog and would just be amazing. But it sounds like a tricky implementation.

play heavy gunner and get back to me on that. It uses the accerometer and it's very difficult to use. I don't want to swing my phone around to lay an FPS game. I also vote for dual analog controls. I have a captivate, and I'd be willing to test this game.
Been testing this on and an off all day on my Captivate. Works great. I average about 50ish fps. Once in ahwile it will hit 60, then lag for a split second and jump to 40. Then back to 50s. Much faster than my Nexus. Multi touch works alot better also, its very playable. The taunt and crouch buttons don't work for me, and neither does the weapon switching bar. So I'm stuck with whatever I pickup. All in all, not bad for a beta.
I must have missed the link to the .apk

My vote, after playing a NOVA and Crusade of Destiny, is a D-pad like in Crusade. It is very fluid and easy to use. In a perfect world, I would say have two D-pads: left for movement and right for look. Then use the volume up to fire.
I have a captivate if you need more testers. I still can not believe we get 40-60 FPS on this game. Never did I think I would see the day where my cell phone can play 3d FPS with ease.

A dpad for aim/look would be horrible. With a touch screen we can get aim close to the accuracy of a mouse. with some sort of dpad we're taking a huge step back.
Crusade of destiny is different because thats not a first person shooter, its 3rd person.
Make the controls like nova. They are easy. (Left joystick moves. Drag anywhere on screen to aim, fire button can be moved like a joystick to get finer accuracy..)
I dont like the arrows, make it a joystick plz.
I am glad to help too with my Captivate

Isn't Q3 open sourced? there are a lot of free versions of the game available that just use different skins, so you should be able to easily port a free version of the game over.
you should start up a website/donation area and take requests at porting other games

TBH, it sucks..........way overhyped.
I hated the controls, not what I expected from a big developer, they were poorly designed and unresponsive. I got a force close in the first thirty seconds of playing....but since then its been fine. A poor mans wipeout says I!

Agreed 100%. The graphics are simply OK, but the control scheme sucks. On a side note, why are there no vehicle stats in the selection screen? It feels almost as if we're missing some textures, lol.

Yeah wtf is going on with that? No text at all. I'm hoping that will get fixed(unless the ships dont have any stats? Bizzare). The graphics are ok, too much lighting/shadows.. car just looks black. Kind of dumb.
I'm not going to refund it though. It's not as bad as bang bang racing was day one, at least in my opinion... i hated those controls lol.

I would but the web market says my Xoom is incompatible! It also says that for my Nexus S. I can't find it using the market app on the tablet.
Doesnt show up as available in US marketplace or in Tegra Zone yet. Tried the link and it says my Xoom is not compatable.
for me, riptide is much more better
OK I just tried the game, and in the words of Cartman from South Park, 'What the F** is this?"
What happened to the game, it feels like the developer just gave up and released an incomplete game! The tracks are boring, the vehicles are just black with no stats and the weapons are dull. This was supposed to be the game to own for Tegra 2, but it looks like a peace of crap. Riptide and Bang Bang both blow this game away. I hope the developer pulled an April Fools joke on us in June, because this cant be the finished product.
I must agree - T-Racer is one of the ugliest and uninspired games I have seem for a long time. The graphics at all are not so bad but the gameplay is just not existing.
If anyone is looking for a good racer like that have a look at "TurboFly 3D" - its worth it!
Is this the Tegra optimized version though guys? It doesn't say anything in the description.

Its a legitimate mistake to make, I really thought that I had a bad hangover and was going colorblind when I saw the vehicle selections, every single one is in black. If the developer does not update this game quickly than they can just suck my balls! Not only is the game just plain, and uninspired, but the frame rate is pretty slow... Riptide is fast as hell with great graphics, so whats the reason why this game is so slow...can be due to the cheesy explosions! And u cant even tell if you hit something because all the vehicles are dark black. I cant wait to write a review no this game, the developer puts much more effort on IOS! There is nothing "Tegra-Optimized" about this game at all!!

I like this one better than riptide. The little spaceships look cool. It needs a save progress system. Pretty much these tegra games just show off what tegra can do. I remember seeing these games at CES thinking I would just like to try them to see how tegra performs. I can get into this game like vector runner. Needs a second camera view

As some of you might have heard of this game, yes it's actually a game meant for iPhone initially but ended up porting to Android all thanks to the people / team or whichever developer(i don't know lol)
But anyway the whole game is in Korean interface(don't ask me how to switch lol), so it's just a little time consuming to figure out what are the game modes. But basically it's just like a normal arcade game that you will play which consist of :
1. Arcade Mode / Career
2. Drift Mode / Points Mode
3. Multi player
I've personally tried this game myself and it's really fun.
Anyway here's the APK file :

@lkneedles: It's Korean, not Chinese.
UPDATE: Tested and Working fullscreen on Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Stock ROM, but the buttons are placed wrongly. You cannot press the buttons where they appear on the screen(somewhere in the middle, most likely a compatibility bug). You have to imagine that you are playing with an iPad and touch the bottom left and right sides of the screen where the buttons should be(although there are no buttons).
multiplayer
is the multiplayer working?? coz i tried it with a iphone and ipad but keep stuck at the searching game.....
Most likely no.
iPhone and iPod is using version 1.0.5 but this is only version 1 or 1.0.2.
Unless you can get the same version on your apple product, chances are it won't work.
Even so, the English version may have a conflict with the Korean version, so there's only a small tiny chance of it working.
Oh the game is created and converted from iPhone. Language is in Korean which i made it clear in my post, and sorry for the buttons problem, i can't fix it. The aligment is a little off even on my HTC sensation.. but it works perfectly on my incredible s

I don't blame you for the button problem. My Galaxy Tab has that problem with most games which are unsupported.
The game was made to be played on an average 4inch screen, not 10.1 inches lol.

Oh actually I was not the one who converted this game from iPhone. I found it by chance after my friend from Korea sent me the APK file of this game. Basically it works perfectly on my 4-inch hTc Incredible S .
But even if it's in Korean I'm quite sure people do have some inference skills to infer that :
1. First Option : Item Mode
2. Second Option : Dash Mode (No Items)
3. Should be bluetooth (for multiplayer with devices with same piece of game installed)
4. Garage or something.
5. Settings.
It's playable and I think people can still play it despite the fact that the interface is in Korean.
If you need somemore nice game don't hesitate to drop me a PM and I can give you.
P.S I just noticed the rules of the forums that no sharing of illegal software is allowed in threads. so.. i guess this thread will eventually get removed by moderators.
Kartrider is freeware, so I doubt it will be removed.
As for gameplay, it's quite understandable by the pictures, but I have no idea how to unlock other karts/maps.
Guess we'll have to wait for the English one.

There's quite a few. Ask away.
Ok first question its this package good?
http://m.guitarcenter.com/Item/Default.aspx?itemno=1394721&urx=1
I play instruments but never produced music. So if you were starting would this be good to start with? Thanks I need some guidance
The reviews seem okay, but not overwhelming. If you already play then I'd suggest just getting hold of some software and a decent sound card to do some home recording. That way you can at least see if you want to take it further before shelling out on something expensive.
I reckon you can spec a decent setup for cheaper than that. Even after buying that package you need multitrack software which isn't cheap.
Personally I'd recommend protools but that's just me. If you haven't used one before then none of them are that user friendly to begin with.
Sonar or Cubase may be easier to start off with.
Think about what you really need to start with and not what the package suggests you need.

Pc specs are fine.
If you have that package en route then all you really need is some kind of multitrack software as I mentioned.
I'd be very surprised if your audio interface doesn't come with either a demo of something or a very basic stripped down recording suite.
If you plan on recording more than one thing at once then you may want to throw a mixer into the equation...

^^^ This.
As Conan said earlier, Cubase is a good one. Acid is also good. It's loop-based but you don't have to use it that way and it's simple to pick up - probably more-so than most.
Incidentally, your PC specs make mine look ancient, and I've had around 30 sample channels running on Acid without any stutter, so you've got nothing to worry about there.
I used to run pro tools and reason on an eight year old Toshiba Lappy with a ****ty celeron CPU and 700 Megs of ram....
It wasn't pretty but it worked.
Just goes to show you.....

Thread hijacking here, but at least on topic somewhat.
Did you try Caustic, from the Market? I remember telling you about it but don't remember if you did or not.
I did try it briefly. It was pretty good. Its on my list of apps to get once I have a Tablet.

i'm-you can call me-a room music producer
i record my own music just using common things:
- a Laptop
- Reason software : for drum & bass
- Guitar + Amp
- Guitar effect (zoom)
- GuitarPro (for uhhh.. patterning my music )
- headphone + common mic
so far so good
Like I said before, I find Sony Acid very good for recording and mixing, and it's probably the easiest studio style app I've ever used. For drums I'll always suggest Fruity Loops, and it's very versatile too, being able to add VST plugins so being anything you need it to be, not just a drum machine.
Thanks guys anything else you suggest I should know. Any Miami people??

If you're more of a "real" musician and not so much a keyboard bashing sequencer freak then I'd recommend getting yourself an actual hardware groovebox/drum machine.
My old Yamaha RX7 finally died, so I got one of these:

Getting a Nexus 7 for Christmas

So I'm getting a Nexus 7 for Christmas and I want to start planning ahead like what I'm going to do with it. I know it may be early but when it's close to Christmas time, I feel like a little kid again, well I'm still a kid at 17.
So I'll either be getting a 16GB or 32GB which is fine as I'll be using that OTG Adapter technique with my 32GB USB stick, which I think is pretty damn nice.
I was thinking of getting this case:

It looks nice, has a stand, it's cheap & I like it.
I'd like to ask some questions.
- What toolkit should I use to root it & that?
- Should I get a stylus?
- Is it easy flashing kernels & ROM's to it?
- What apps and games can you recommend?
Thanks in advance!

Most people will say not to use toolkits and usb adb instead. Personally, i couldnt get adb working so used Wugfresh's toolkit and it worked fine. Has saved my tablet a few times too

I got a stylus, but its only one of those ones with a thick rubber end. I only use it for Sketchbook app.

Yes. Once you root, install a custom recovery (Clockworkmod or TWRP), i prefer TWRP, and from then on all ROM's are flashed through the recovery. Literally a few clicks.

Tool kits are meant to make life easier. Load the app, automatically unlocks, roots, and flashes CWM. Done.
I like the poetic flip case. Really helps protect it. Its $20 but nice. I also prefer the SGP Crystal Clear matte SP which is about $20 also.
I had both of those on my stolen N7 and will be buying again.

Indeed, but you learn little about the actual process itself, and may end up being attached to it and not wanting to learn about the process Then when you want to get into advanced flashing, or a major issue occurs, you'll most likely not know what to do.
In any case, toolkits might be nice for the very first time, but it is advised to not rely on them in the long run.

Hello, I have a Poetic case also on my N7, I recommend it 100%.

Cheers.

This is completely irrelevant but why do you consider yourself a kid at 17?
