Reliable place to get limited edition battery cover? - Nexus S Accessories

I've looked on eBay and found some but the sellers don't even know which is which..regular vs the little android prints.
Anyone know of another place to get one?
I have a T-Mo version.....9020 is it?

Where to get parts?

I need to buy a back cover for my Streak (replacement battery door) but I can't seem to find it anywhere online. Does anyone know where to get one?
To add to the intentory, it would be nice to have a backup extra charging cable. Id too, like to know where to get a battery door and cable.

Ok, I have to wonder how you have missed all the excitment over the cables. Please do a search.
Also, if you all look around the forum there is a shop in the UK that can probably get your battery cover. Again can be found with a little searching.

I tried that store and I didn't find any covers. The only thing I found by searching was to try Ebay UK and they didn't have anything either. I'll ask the mod to move the thread to Accessories.

Thanks Jared, Id like to know too. What happened with your original cover? I know the hinges or prongs are so small and thin. I am hoping not to wear or bend them.
One of the L's fell off and I'm just looking for a spare.

Anyone still buying std Inc batteries?

I've got two D-INC std 1500 batteries that are used( 6mo, 2mo) and a back cover for one too. I was just wondering if people are still willing to buy the original batteries rather than going for the higher end ones that are out now? I just have no use for them myself as i've upgraded to a D-INC II and no longer have the D-INC handset it self due to it being sent back to big V for repair/trade for the II.
selling price within the US?
If your battery has an STD, you might take it to the clinic. I'm pretty sure they can clear that up.
Hate to revive but what did you mean by clinic? And really I'd be selling both for like 20ish, back cover possibly included if you need/want it.

He was making a funny. http://lmgtfy.com/?q=std&l=1
Yea, I ignored that and took the more serious matter of it as something I could do with them.

fyi, stock batteries are 1300 mah... and $20 is ripping us off cause i got a 1500 for ~$5 last year when i got my phone, and just bought a seidio extended batt and cover for $12.
If you wanna help someone out, you could offer it to a friend who has a Dinc or an EVO 4g(works on this too).
Oh see I had no ideas what prices where otherwise I would have said different.

I could have sworn I read the OP asking for a cover to temporarily cover the cracked original back cover, until he finds the proper part. Maybe it was the drugs I've been taking to treat an infection

[Q] Demo Units?

So, I was scouring eBay for a white "case" for my phone, I have the titanium one and I wanted to convert it to the white one, and I found a guy selling the "demo" units, those phones that are just a shell with a fake screen.
I was wondering if anyone knew if those were truly shells, in other words, could I buy one of those, and use it to replace my battery door/front bezel on my AtrixHD.
Thanks!
I don't think you can...in other words those are not real shells...

I do believe demo units are real casings. Typically they're real so costumers can get a feel for the phone.

Yea, I went ahead an ordered one, I figured worst comes to worst it's an $11 piece of plastic!
In my experience "almost" all of the demo units I've ever bought weren't casings.
But I'm guessing you'll confirm when you get your order.

ouch my nexus7 it slid off my bed apparently. I didnt see how it fell, it was in a case but it didnt save it. I heard the thud, turned and feared the worse. it goes across the screen so its rather large.
its the 2012 32 gb version. Is it fixable??? most of the screen doesnt work, i can touch the notification area and it responds, but no where else, so it is basically inoperable. I google some stuff about replacing the digitizer or the screen? or both? how would i know what I need?
on another note, its the 2012 version and i could probably use an upgrade on the 2014 or whatever the new one is. But i definitely would like to repair this and get a new one. I hate having to let go of stuff like this and would like to repair it.
Check out on ebay you have to change the glass, digitizer and lcd (too risky to change the glass+digitizer) its fairly easy. You can check outr some teardown on google too and youtube. Good luck

My wife's n7 had a similar problem, but it's one of my children that stepped on it lol, it was going to cost £160 for Asus to fix it and the tablet only cost £200 brand new at the time so I just got some insurance on it from currys for £3 a month then got them to fix it lol

hmm thats a nice idea, i might find something like that locally here. well I ended up going on craigslist and looking at local ads of nexus 7, and I saw someone selling a nexus 7 16gb for $100. I emailed and asked if it was still available and how firm they were. They replied saying they can let it go for 80 if I come right now. I just returned about an hour ago with a 16gb nexus 7. I am currently in the process of rooting with a rom as my 32gb was. I still wanna fix my 32gb so I will try this idea or something similar.
Take the screen of the 16gb one and put it on the 32

Check out square trade for a warranty as well. I've heard good things about them
So this would work with square trade? The idea of getting insurance on my nexus even though it is already broken?
Yeah if they don't ask to see it your fine

So I wouldn't have to show a receipt or anything? I'll definitely look into it!
I didn't with currys mate but that was because it was less than a year old

hello this is a look at the French site and I've already ordered parts for my Nexus 7 is a reliable and serious site

No wonder why ins. premiums skyrocket...it's because people do this kind of stuff. This is ins. fraud...plain, simple, cut, & dried. I also believe this is against the TOS of this site. Do it the right way and purchase ins. before something happens to your device

How is it fraud, I asked currys if they needed to see the tablet and they no because it was less than a year old they didn't ask if it had a broken screen and I've still got the insurance so there getting there money back anyway so think before accusing people of fraud
Sent from my HTC One using Tapatalk
Its fraud because it was suggested above that insurance gets placed on the device AFTER there has been damage to the device. It was suggested that the insurance company wouldn't verify the condition...it's exactly what it sounds like...fraud.
