that is the method for porting miui
take a any cm9 or aosp based ics rom as base. with this guide, you can port miui4 from any device to your one. for best compatibility use own brand base to port. if you have desire s then port from htc devices. if galaxy nexus then try port from nexus s
IN OUR CASE NEXUS S MIUI , KINDLE FIRE MIUI WILL BE BEST
CREDIT GOES RO FUSS123 FOR TELLING ME )
first of all replace complete folders with miui4 one.
system/app
system/framework
copy libandroid_runtime.so lib from miui 4 (rom you port). without this file rom will not boot. if you get bootloop, try with base libandroid_runtime.so file..
replace media folder with base rom (that themes, wallpaper, audio from miui work)
copy telocation.db and yellowpage.db to /system/etc folder.
copy content-types.properties file to /system/lib
copy invoke-as from miui4 rom to /system/xbin and give it permissions on updater-script
set_perm(0, 0, 06755, "/system/xbin/invoke-as");
(for backup & themes app work)
copy liblbesec.so from miui 4 to /system/lib and give permission on updater-script
set_perm(0, 0, 0755, "/system/lib/liblbesec.so");
(for superuser app from miui work)
change values from build.prop
ro.build.id=MIUI
ro.build.display.id=MIUI
ro.build.version.incremental=2.x.x (version number)
ro.config.ringtone=MI.ogg
ro.config.notification_sound=FadeIn.ogg
ro.config.alarm_alert=GoodMorning.ogg
ro.config.sms_received_sound=FadeIn.ogg
ro.config.sms_delivered_sound=MessageComplete.ogg
if your base rom has issues, these issues will seen on this port too. example, if camera not works on base rom, then will on miui4 port also not work!
then add your stuff (updated apps, wallpaper or installer whatever you want )
make your zip and there is it.

At the moment I do not use a rom derived from CyanogenMod.
Now I use the Mushrom W4 based on 2.3.5.
I tried the 7.1-cooper-KANG CyanogenMod-2.3.7 RC1 Android by Grif but did not have the sim application toolkit.
I just wanted to know if there is a possibility of being able to implement the ROM or as a separate application or acting on the root.
If this possibility exists I wanted to have some instructions on how to do.
I would be happy even know where to find the necessary files.
I thank you for the reply and hope you can help me.

Yea there is another way by placing the simtoolkit.apk in system/app manually, but I'm having odexed rom files.
If u use odexed rom den I will upload for u.

Hi, it does come with stk.apk but I don't know if it works, I've never used sim toolkit.

Correct.
Miui guys just took CM and modified it and kept it as closed source for quite a time.
But I think first we needa have stable CM9.

No! But custom ROMs are always there for you. Maclaw's CM9 is based on original ICS.
It can be. But Samsung won't provide it. Maclaw had made a CM9(ICS) build which works perfectly 95% but flashing it will void your warranty!

Go to the Dev section, look for [ICS] tags in the threads.
Currently the camera does not work on any ics builds, this may be fixed in the future. If you do decide to flash make sure you read the instructions on how to flash in the rom thread.
Samsung will never provide an official ics.

Where have you been bro? Lagloose and some members (i think) of galaxyICS team already made a patch for cam. although it has no preview. And OP, official ICS, NO Unofficial ICS, WIP already, almost perfect

it can b upgraded via cm9 as said b4 ....but since u ahve bought your phone recently u may want to check the model no ... the roms here are mainly for GT S5830 not its variants like GT S5830i ....if your phone is GT S5830i then the roms wont work for you
