Hi!
I recently flashed my IncS with Ehab's latest ROM v1.2a including Sense 3.5 (questions goes here, not into thread because I'm new here...). In order to restore my settings and a number of apps I used TitaniumBackup Pro and backupped user apps and most system apps and settings. Restore went smoothly after flashing.
I very much liked the idea to have some shortcuts on the lockscreen - but although I activated them in the settings they won't show up.
Anyone else having this problem? Any ideas how to solve it?
I had that problem when I flashed my first sense 3 ROM. But it was because I deleted something I shouldn't have. So probably you messed something up restoring a system app that doesn't belong in sense 3,5.
I had to reflash the ROM to get it to work

What we have here is my first rom that i made for myself, but i want to share.
I just started to learn programing and the android platform is a tool for me to learn
so what i did here was just made for me but i think there is room for one more dish from the kitchen, so here we have it
This is built on v20g official (new baseband!!!!!!)
Rom fetures: Almost everything what the kitchen has to offer(deoxed,busybox,a2sd.....)
- Power menu (recovery and reeboot added)
- Latest Franco_kernel 2.6.35.14
- wifi fix
- Enabled jit an heapsize to 48mb and some build.prop hacks ;-)
- And some other things i can not remember
- Theme made by me and UOT Kitchen(a very big tanks to those guys)
- lg buttons from Lg 2x by: bioan. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1040012
Apps -Adao file manager
-Battery Calibration (you can uninstall after calibration)
-Browser
-Calendar
-Camera (themed camera that i found somewhere.I don't know who themed it but big thanks to him/her)
-Clock
-Miui Compass
-Fm radio
-3D Gallery
-Gmail
-Go Contacts (removed lg stock contacts)
-Go SMS (removed lg stock sms app)
-Google search
-Market
-Miui Music
-MultiPicture Live Wallpaper
-News and weather
-QQlauncher
-Voice Search
-Youtube
-Wireless Tether for root users (i am having problems built in tether)
Bugs: - The only bug i know of is the built in wifi tether
edit: Sorry there is one more bug. In Go sms when you try to push the + button it loads and loads.
So when adding just type the first letter or number and the xt9 will do the rest (this will be my next problem to understand and solve!)
- For transparent statusbar use MultiPicture Live Wallpaper or a launcher that suports it
Big thanks! to the xda comunity
to Franco for his perfect kernel
to ciox for good tips and howto
to untermensch for his power menu howto. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=811532
to everyone i forgot
p.s I changed some icons in some apps(go contacts and go sms and others just for fun).
They will go back to default if/when you uppdate via market.
So basicly this is just another official GB kitchen cooking with some tweeks and hacks. just with another flavor

Original contacts and sms apk for those who want (install with root explorer or something and change permission and restart)http://www.multiupload.com/NL2VFCCUSD
Due to popular demand here you go but no go (removed Go Contacts and sms and added Stock apk´s) http://www.multiupload.com/APVVIMU4AC
Nice work bro
Theming is brilliant
You can try and compile a flashable ZIP to enable other stock lg GINGERBREAD users to patch this theme
Thumbs Up..!!
Wait wait bro! If u remove stock contacts, u cant call out? Right? I did something that day with my nexus, i froze my phone.apk, it works! But i cant get into the dialer! So does it work for u?

Same happened with me dax, removing stock dailer will prevent you from getting into dialer via any other 3rd party app,and it keeps force closing ...

no problems here! no fc no freze
tested and tested over and over, just try it
every time i tried a new version of this rom(wich has only had the go contacts all the time) i did a full wipe (formatt system ect.) to be shure that i don´t have something still under there that makes it run. So IT WORKS!

Wow...i will see your rom later to see how can you remove stock dialer but still can get gsm signal and out/in call

The stock contacts do not have the phone.apk built in
the stock dialer is a part of the original stock contacts.
So when you dial from GO contacts you go straight to phone.apk(wich i dit not remove) and whola! a phone is calling a friend
Does app2sd work properly? Is it app2ext or app2sd?? Do u need an ext partition/? Or like cm7 it directly goes to SD??
Sent from my LG-P500 using xda premium
it has app2ext. but it works like normal if you don´t have ext
edit : it should say a2sd not ext sorry

i'm love testing roms so when ever i flash a new rom i have to set all apps and stack them into folders(i prefer stacking apps in folders) and this is very difficult when u have more than 400 apps.
is there any app that back'ups the previous appdrawer settings and then restore's it ?
i've read it somewhere that a app is there and it works for samsung launchers.
anyone aware of it ?

Backup data of touchwiz launcher using Titanium Backup then restore it whenever you flash a new TW based ROM.
Go backup..... Their will be an option to backup the launcher layout
Hello peoples,
[hope i am in the right section now?]
I love android but hate having to restore widgets over and over again (i flash a lot of different kernels and roms). Up till now i have never found a way to backup and restore the widgets in there former glory (location/size/settings). I use Titanium backup/restore but i found that only a nandroid restore really restores everything (and that is not something i can use when trying out new kernels and roms)
Am i missing something? (an app for instance that will really save position and settings of a widget? Or is it just a know shortcoming in android? I have used almost every launcher around but none of them restore widget (position/size/setting)
Can someone link me to some wisdom?
ps: i understa...alvik VM that hosts the widget position/size?
66 views so far but no response...? Anybody?
Cause no one knows even me but I believe if you copy launcher data using tb and restore it although I didn't try but let me guess that it works

I think this because of the launcher. If you use Apex for example and you make a backup via the app all the settings will be saved on to SD card. If you want to use another launcher with the same widgets you'll need to replace them since the data cant be restored from apex etc. Some apps can import settings from others but this will be said by the app it self.
Like i said, it depens on the launcher. Perhaps to ask one of the developers of the launcher for more information.

Good advice. So i guess i have been obstructing myself by changing launchers on weekly bases.
where is the lockscreen file of a rom?and whats its name?
and the wallpapers of the rom?
Hi people
I am silly man, have not backuped them..
Do you have somebody original stock rom? EU version would be perfect!
Please, if yes, could you upload me apps from /system/app? I have deleted some app which caused lost of wallpaper, status bar, gallery, screen of multitasking (long press home button)... so my phone is quite not a smartphone anymore ...
Hope I will find somebody because I will have to flash new rom and set everything again if not...
Thanks in advance!
Instantisimo
Why don't you download zaiben? Its stock with some modfication but there are lg's stock applications in system/app
