As the title states, I want to try new and hardcore ones so if you can give me a link, that would be great also I heard someone mention (Thor)?

Tiamat kernel, search ön google. Too tired to search for you

I've used those already, that's why I'm looking for others like this Lords kernel someone mentioned
Sent from my Incredible S using xda premium
I myself have been on Playground ICS for about two months now. Currently running it with the latest Tiamat kernel & its been workin fine for me as a daily ROM.
No complaints here. Also from what I've read the X-ICS V3 kernel has had some good results too

What is a "hardcore" kernel? What exactly are you looking for?

Anything that can work with IceColdSandwich 7.2/4.0.4 and not Kiajura's even though his is good or Tiamat but something that can be pushed also has anyone heard of the Lord Kernel and if it works with IncS/ICS?

It's a kernel. There's only so many things it can do. That's like asking for the most "hardcore" doorknob.

Hey guys, there's no need to belittle the guy for releasing his first ROM, looking stock or not, he put hours of effort into this and the best thing would be for us to support him in his project like we do every other quality ROM cooker, because even people like Som started out smalltime. So lay off the guy, jeez.
To the OP: Good job on your first Rom and Good luck in your future builds, and pay no attention to the immatures on the site, they do not represent the actual quality members of this site.
Just flashed this to check it out as i love einherjar stuff. Very responsive and nice overall function! Nice work fellas! I do wish you guys would use IRC though!!! im always in your chan and no one is ever there Sadpanda!

This is a clockwork flashable rom, Odin not needed. You do not need to disable voodoo, and comes pre-rooted.

I flashed a lot to try out different roms
But these days I got really bored/tired of flashing. So I was wondering if there is something else that you could do with the captivate?...

I think that's what he is tired of is the same basic rom just themed 47 different ways.
@op, switch to an htc device if variety in roms is what your looking for. Only so much that can be done with the captivate until an aosp build is functional that can be built upon.

Hey all, need a ROM with full functionality like MMS and WiFi hotspot. Also, good battery life, etc. Bare ICS or jb is preferable! But anything will do, cheers

If you want everything working and good performance, ARHD is it.
Its not the latest in terms of android or sense, but everything is working.
I see you're already on it The sense 4 ports are having problems with hotspot, but a desire s dev fixed it in his kernel, hopefully l0st.prophet will implement the fix soon in his kernel

Then read a few pages of the thread. Devs but in the work to make a Rom the least you could do is read a few pages.

I have to agree with @vizzy regarding this...
sorry, not trying to annoy you but you can at least read a few pages regarding the bugs in the ROM
i know the dev doesnt always put all the bugs in the first page, but you can always scan the last few pages to see the bugs being reported by others.
@vizzy is not complaining, but he's only telling you the least thing you can do. There are too many ppl asking the same question all over again without searching.
hope you understand ...
regarding roms, i really like MIUI.. you should give it a try
this thread isn't pointless at all. infact I was just looking for a ROM like this - pure ICS/JB, Wifi Hotspot working (don't care too much for MMS)... etc.
I think Ice Cold Sandwich is a good one. Wifi Hotspot defo works, not sure about MMS. There are a couple bugs, like if you update the YouTube app it stops working, but if you leave it at its current version its fine. And its bare ICS, so battery life should be good
There are also a couple of JB ROMS, but I don't think Hotspot works well on those.
Sense 3.6< roms.
