Hey
I've got a huge problem : i can't play any video on my nexus one (gallery, YouTube,internet ... )
I don't know why
I installed froyo 2.2 and video stopped working then i installed back stock rom ... video don't work
I've unlocked my nexus and i've done all the stuff with the amon-RA recovery images
I got the stock roman from modaco
Thank's a lot for help me
The radio that came with 2.2 will not work well with the other roms out. You need to flash your previous radio. This is why you have this issue. This answer has been post before.
Re: ey I've got a huge problem : i can't play any video on my nexus one
Im having the same problem. I did a nandroid restore to my cyanogen rom and installed a radio image from 2.1 and it didn't help. do you know exactly which radio version to flash? I also tried that whole build.prop edit but didn't do any good either.

yea i just posted a thread in here. its called noob question on radio. in there they tell you what radio to use. i juss dont know how to install it. i think you just flash it like normal
Re: ey I've got a huge problem : i can't play any video on my nexus one
Awesome, the first stock radio image in that thread worked. Not sure which one I tried first, but it obviously was the wrong one, lol. Thanks again. Im gonna be waiting for a cyanogen version of froyo before I switch to it. Stock is missing too many of the little extras right now.

Hello,
can i upragde only the radio fw version ?some people are reporting better battery life with the new baseband fw. And if so, can i flash back the old "downrev" fw back, if i had problems ?
From :
Radio_13.45.55.24_3.35.15.31.zip - OLD, standard in 2.1 Roms
to
Radio_13.53.55.24H_3.35.19.25.zip - NEW in Chinise Froyo 2
I currently have the unrbanded wwe version 1.25.405.1 installed.
This is something I too would be interested to know. I have tried to do some serching but this is the first case I can find regarding the new 2.2 radio from the chinese rom.
I am currently on Puzzlerom 7.3
Once the v8 rom / v8.0.1 is stable I will go to that. Unless we have ourselfs a 2.2 froyo rom out before that. As I use my phone in a variety of ways and in multipule situations, I cant go without it for very long. 2 hrs at a time max.
Hope to be able to test things though ^_^
Peace
Just Made the update trough recovery .now iam running at the 2.1 Rom with the new radio firmware active from the new android 2.2 chinese rom. Actually I see no problems at all

All components are working fine (gsm/umts,wlan,gps and bluetooth).
Only the frst Time GPS FIX takes a bit longer after update.
Also, the battery life seems to be a bit longer and the handy seems
to be more stable during calls with active data connections.
[ROM] [STOCK] CUBE / CUBE_lean_v2 (root) | v20g-2.3.3
DISCLAIMER: I'm not responsible if anything happens to your phone. Use this at your own risk.
Based on stock v20g, but recovery flashable. Will not update your baseband. Works only on the new baseband.
There are two versions
CUBE - 100% equal to stock.
CUBE_lean - stripped down and rooted.
Important:
Do not upgrade from Froyo to any of these ROM, you won't have GSM/UMTS then.
If you already have the new baseband you can use this.
If you do not have the new baseband you can not use this.
Do not use LGMDP to flash this ROM.
FAQ:
Q: Oh no! Yet another gingerbread ROM?
A: This is not yet another, it is the stock one, just in different packaging.
Q: And why do i need that again if there is a stock ROM already?
A: If you do not want to flash via lgmdp but rather use your already existing clockwork mod recovery.
Q: What's the problem with using lgmdp?
A: It flashes more than you need if you just wanted to downgrade. And it flashes "dangerous" areas of the phone making it more prone to create a brick.
Q: Mobile data is not working after flashing this rom. What now?
A: Go to settings and set the APN manually. Consult google for your operator settings.

So i stil need to pre install original GB over froyo to test this? Or this is it?
Why this ROM??
Adds no value at all. You have to flash original ROM to get use this ROM. And this is original ROM

Yes. If you already have the original GB, then you have no use for this. If you've gone further and flashed a custom GB rom and now want back again without flashing anything vie lgmdp: this is for you.
Just flashing this zip "ALONE" via recover will get me lg based gingerbread? :O
If so its cute... Dnt temme I need to flash the baseband before flashing this thing

No it won't. This won't upgrade your baseband. You need a new baseband already. This ROM is when you don't want to flash the baseband again to get back to stock.
It's confusing ... I m on Mick's CM7- 6.5.5. Can I just flash the zip file as normal to upgrade to this ROM?

Mik's CM7-6.5.5 is using the old baseband. So you can't.
I think i'm gonna clarify this a bit better in the first post.

this kind of posts should not be here, this is ROM doesn't give anything to the comunity, this should to be moved to general o another section.
This is actually pretty useful. I was wanting to go back to the stock GB kernel/ROM (having too many issues with the custom ones), but I didn't want to go through the whole ordeal of using LGMDP again. Thanks for this.
You also need lgmdp to change the baseband, so its ridiculous

It can't be flashed without a computer. It needs KDZ/LGMDP.

I'm curious. Has somebody already used the provided ROM and had success flashing and running it?
I wasn't able to flash via LGMDP, for some reason it kept going into fastboot.
I flashed this and everything is perfect.
All you hating should just shut up. This helped me a lot.
Thank you.
BTW - rooting doesn't work and the APN's and settings and bookmarks and everything are from a different carrier, not mine.
Weird but... whatever.
I just want it rooted. Anyone that can help?
Why would you want to use this?
Install gingerLOL which is rooted and cleaned. Its still slow because its still based on official crap but certainly faster than this.
I think is useful enough...
You have to use lgmdp tool just once ,not again and again to change from v20g to v20c or other downgrades, just flash this rom and then flash any official gb rom you want instead of using lg tool again...
But if you want to flash a froyo rom then you have to use lg tool again....
All these if i understand good,
Or not????

Is this an invalid question? If it is, sorry, I didn't know.
I thought it was a valid and actually a really good question. I haven't heard of anyone trying it though. You can revert back to the stock GB rom but I don't think that's what you're asking.

yes, i wanted to revert back to one of the custom roms. Since i had to update HBoot to flash ICS, i didnt know if a GB rom was dependent on the HBoot version. Or will reverting back to stock GB rom thr only way to use custom GB roms again?

I would suggest using thecubed's method which he posted over in the development section. Direct link is:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1529669
safest way to do it I imagine would be to return to stock and then re flash a custom boot kernal and rom
OK, ill try to flash stock GB, then try to flash a custom Rom.
Hope it works out OK,
Thanks for your replies.
Just an update in case anyone was curious.
Flashed custom GB rom without reverting back to stock GB first and everything seems to be working fine. Phone booted with no problem and been playing with it for about 1 hour and no hiccups.
Been running HBOOT 1.85 from ICS with no issues with a GB Sense ROM for a few days now. Radio from ICS seems to be fine with the GB ROM also (don't seem to have any Ril issues).
That is good to know thanks for sharing.

Hi guys,
Just noting that although phone calls, GPS, data, and Wi-Fi don't seem to be an issue on a GB ROM using the ICS radio (3.02.4740.14_34.22.701040.19L), I do notice that the signal bars average 2 or 3 out of 5 in my area. When using an ICS ROM with the same radio, the average signal bars is around 4 or 5. As far as signal strength goes, I cannot tell the difference during usage. However, I do see that it shows less bars in GB versus that in ICS.

So yeah, my sxl is rooted and has recovery, but it won't start up. I think it means that there is no ROM installed? Correct me if I'm wrong. The main problem I have is that I can't mount my sdcard in recovery and therefore it won't let me install any roms. I learned from other forums that this might have something to do with ICS, if so, I thought that I should downgrade my Hboot but I can't find a method that works for me as all requires usb debugging? Which I cant access as I cant turn on the device...
Is there a way of solving my problem? If it has something to do with RUU, my CID is HTC_y13 and everytime I've tried installing a stock RUU i've only got problems during install (yes i have relocked bootloader). I have searched for this all over the internet but can't find a solution. Please help!
Thanks in advance!
BTW, i'm a newbee at these sort of things so keep that in mind
I had the same issue when I tried updating my hboot from 1.26 to 1.28
I basically had to follow the hboot process again and go back to the original hboot if you scroll through the android development thread you will find the musketeer rom with sense 4.0 go to the main page and i think its post 3 or 4 and you will see a process on how to change the hboot
read this step by step to go back to the original CWM and you will find after you upload the hboot back to original you will be able to go back into the recovery and you will see all your flashed roms again
hope this helps

Completely sure. Now it says 1.25.0004 and S-OFF after that downgrading to hboot thing, but I havn't been successfull in installing a stock rom yet, so I guess that those numbers are fake at the moment? I've tried installing a recovery for 1.25 but that doesn't work, however the ones for 1.28 work. So I think that i'm still on 1.28 (untill I've managed to install stock rom).
Have you upgraded your Hboot or did you get the OTA update (as I did)?
SOLVED!
I managed to find a working rom and have successfully reseted my phone to Hboot 1.25 instead of 1.28.
THANKS FOR ALL THE HELP, I REALLY APPRECIATE IT!

I found a working stock HTC rom (I don't remember which one) that was compatible with my device. After the installation, my Hboot was 1.25 instead of 1.28 which allowed me to install another custom rom onto the phone via recovery (It didn't allow me with Hboot 1.28). So after that I simply installed another custom rom through recovery and since then the phone has been working great
To sum up, you need to find a working stock rom compatible to your device, which is very difficult... But just keep searching you will find it eventually
Hope this was of any help, ask if you have any more questions!
