This should have been posted in the General section, not the Development section.
If you can boot the phone into HBOOT, then you can flash a new recovery image in FASTBOOT USB mode.
If you have more questions post in the GENERAL section after you have searched.
hey just reboot ur phone by connecting with usb to fastboot mode n flash the official roms frm htc tht comes with exe. files...after flashing an official rom the CWM will be gone nd u can flah other recovery or u can go for a direct recovery image as tpbklake mentioned ..and this not the section for discussing this problem plz move the post to general section bro

I already did http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1703914&goto=newpost
Would you be so kind and provide more info there for me ? Possibly links to Rom with .exe extension? I can't find them anywhere and I am very short on time as I travel. Dory to be a pain but I really need this phone working quickly. Why I needed to mess it up while abroad!

No, I don't have much time. just use the search function, you'll find sth First install a ROM of your choice. The boot.img is in the .zip of the ROM. Search down a guide and flash it via adb.

My phone died at recovery mode. I cannot use flash from zip card. Argh, I may come back to ugly-htc-sense. (
Do you know that you need to hold down power + volume down to access recovery? (must be done exactly after you power on your phone; b4 HTC logo)
Yes, I hold the volume down and power key, and then the boot launcher appears, then I select recovery and stuck at HTC logo (
Try flashing a new recovery image, then once you flash a new rom, boot into fastboot and flash the boot.IMG inside the Rom

I try http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1337105
but still stuck at htc logo argh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
could someone give me new recovery file? the one in the follow post has died. (
Just install the 4ext recovery app flash the recovery from there
What did you flash CWM with? Try using rom manager and it will do it all for u
Make sure you arent trying to flash the wrong rom or recovery for your device, the inc2 is vivow, the incS is vivo, what does your bootloader say at the top?

just try booting the ROM, see whether it boots in to recovery.
there is one time i made a mistake and i flash the recovery in to the boot.
and the actual boot file i flash in to recovery.

Hi,
My buddy messed up with his i9001 and the current condition when turn on the device,it show "SAMSUNG" and going directly into CWM recovery wihout me holding the power & vol up.
I've tried format system, wipe etc / partition internal SD and success installing fresh ROM zip from external SD but again it does the same again and again by going into CWM recovery. Also when in CWM recovery if reboot automatically like every 5minutes.
Your help will be appreciated!:cyclops:

Yup!and odin multidownloader recognize the device.I've got into ODIN and selected the ops but i do not know where to get the tar,md rom files. or should i just use odin3?what's the difference anyway?
p/s: i do not know which rom etc it was with before.Read somewhere about PIT but i do not quite get it.I'm in Malaysia.
it's rebooting in cwm recovery.... so you will need to flash bootloader: you cand find in i9001 wiki page at cwm recovery section a link to a single post where you will have all you need to flash bootloader and instructions . Good luck !! :good:

I'm not sure bumping old topics is a good idea, but if you're having the same issue the same solution would work. Just follow the steps described here.
Dear members,
Please help me find a solution to the issue that had occured:
Recently I've flashed CM9 to my i9001 using serial recovery. Now I wanted to change to CM10 but the phone won't go to recovery mode - it goes to download mode automaticly (like recovery doesn't exist enymore). I've tried switching to recovery from ROM and from turned-off phone but still no results. Please help me get the recovery into the phone

R: [i9001]Need help
Apart that this is a dev section and we have a question and answer thread for this, you should flash a recovery again with Odin and if nothing happens again, I suggest you to flash an entire GB official ROM and restart from zero.
Please, next time use Q&A Thread.

You can ask your friend to reflash the rom?
Sent from my GT-S5570 using Tapatalk 2
Hi guys
I have a problem whenever I flash my rom using the flashtool64bit version 09.15.0 build on 15-13-2014 it works fines I can get into the Xperia OS no issues there
I then enable developer option and apply security setting so it allows third party apps to be install.
I then apply the ADB and fastboot run the command as per fastboot flash boot boot.img this too works fine.
I enter CWN ROM manager by turning the power off holding the vol button up and down , and here is my problem
when I select the file Update-superuserv2.zip it runs fine no errors there my problem is when I reboot at this stage
I get "Sony" logo and it just goes into a while loop nor matter how many times I reflash
additional information
I manage to unlock the bootloader
I followed instruction to to root the device
again nor matter what method I tried I can't by pass the "sony" logo to fix this I have to reflash again and this does work but when I install Clockwork it states the device is not rooted ?
I am a totally newbie to this and really would appreciate a dummy proof instruction please.
which boot.img did you flash?
Please post a link
Hi there
thanks for the reply back , I flash CWM clockwork boot.img
I am unable to insert a link as I haven't posted 10 post yet , I obtain this information from ibtimes website .co.uk
I hope this answer the question
That will not work as there is no recovery partition on an xperia device
Just flash a custom kernel, it will contain recovery.

I have try downloading the ftf file from xperiafirmware dot com/8-firmware/42-sony-xperia-z1-c6903 site , issue when I install the ROM manager from clockwork it states "You must root your phone for ROM manager to function SuperUser vas not found at /system/bin/su" I have already applied UPDATE_SuperSUv2.zip file via the boot process where you press the vol button up and down , the issue is when it reboot it does not pass the "sony" logo just goes into while loop
just look in the development section of the exact same forum you are posting in....

hey buddy thanks for the supported I sorted it my device is now rooted , and its my first time
I used this instruction androidadvices.com/root-install-cwm-recovery-sony-xperia-z1-android-phone-guide/#.U6whr3lOUdU
from the site it worked , best part about the instruction is each step they provide you with the file you need to download and that really makes it easy .
thanks again
