I tried to flash Playground ICS. I managed to get it to work but the screen kept sort of jittering and moving. So I rebooted it but got stuck on the HTC loading screen. Couldn't get into the ROM again in any way not even by reflashing.
Then I was searching around ClockworkMod to try to fix the issue and by mistake wiped everything from the SD Card...So now I have no zips on SD Card and can't flash a new ROM to get the phone to work.
Is there any way I can put stuff on the SD through Recovery or Fastboot.
Please help fast!!
All help is appreciated.
Tried mounting SD from Clockwork...it shows on Computer but can't access it.
Ok guys solved the SD card problem just mounted it on another computer....
But can I get any help as to why I'm stuck at HTC logo when flashing Playground and when I got it to work once it was buggy? I even flashed Tiamat first.
Flash kernels after roms.

It's a problem with the kernel that is part of the rom. Flash a different kernel. Well documented in the Playground thread.
Do you have any recoveries backed up off the SD Card?
Well this isn't my first ROM....factory reset...wiped dalvik cache...flashed ROM...flashed kernel...flashed boot.img...nothing missing I guess..

Hey dude I saw your post on that thread....which kernel did you flash pls?
Was it the tiamat kernel for the ICS rom?
You could flash x-ics-v3-VDD.zip or vivo-tiamat-ics-031412.zip. Both will work with Playground. I'd use the x-ics kernel.
I'd use one of them if the Wifi module driver file wasn't corrupt...can't find any other link...
Download and reinstall Playground and then install the kernel. Download to your computer and transfer to sd card.
Flash a different Rom....

Hy everybody,
I have got a big problem with my i9000: it doesn't start up very properly i mean it takes a lot to start the S logo animation, the animation is very slow (really low fps) and it usually stuck at the end of the animation (only once i managed to arrive to the menu where you have to choose the language but the touchscreen was not responding). Even CWM recovery is slow! There is a lag while choosing the options. I also tried to reflash using stock Samsung ROMS such as XXJPU and XXJW7 but i get the same issue. Also tried to install custom ROM via CWM, i get the speed back but touch doesn't work! I have already searched on the site for this issue and got a thread that had exactly the same problem but didn't manged to get out from this situation (here is the thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1422634, it's exactly the same issue!).
I have been flashing and repearing android devices for years and this is the first time i meet this kind of issue! Maybe it is a bootloader problem or motherboard, but i ask you experts before getting in troubles =)
Sorry for my bad english :victory:
Cheers
I think it is a hardware problem mate(since you flashed too many roms...)

Nope, but you must not try to reboot after formatting it, . You need to power down, do a battery pull and flash a ROM package with boot loader for phone to function

Uhm every rom i tried via CWM, and even the stock rom when it gets loaded, doesn't give me a working touchscreen. This problem happened last month too and after flashing a lot of roms i managed to solve it in the end, but i was just lucky because i didn't know what the device had and i solved just flashing random ROMS and getting solved with XXJW7. That's why i'm not so sure it is a hardware problem =(

Try Elite JB RC12.1, if working on jw7, do a android backup, then you'll have to flash JVU 1st, if touch screen works then it'll work with the JB rom, here's a trick, instructions are there but do this. Backup everything to pc, take out sdcard, before flash jvu, do 3 wipes, data, cache, dalvik, then go to usb mount, format 5 items there, boot, data, cache, system, sdcard ( last wipes everything). Now do 3 wipes again, yes again, flash JVU, root, transfer Rom to sdcard, 3 wipes, do usb mount, then 4 formats (not sdcard), 3 wipes again, flash JB rom. If bootloop, no bigger it just flashed kernel, take battery out, wait back in recovery flash Rom. You'll be on JB.

Why dont you try flashing your original firmware via Odin with "repartition" ticked. Once that is done, let your phone boot and see if there's and lag. If lag still persists, go to CMW, format system, boot and data and restart your phone and then check again
Touchscreen problem

Hey!! I tried various ROM combinations and it worked for a few months. Although even after a few days, the problem would reappear and I was forced to flash again(it started working after flashing about 30-50 ROMs). Finally, a month back, I came across the same problem again but this time, nothing worked. After hitting my head on the wall for a month, I finally gave it to the Samsung ppl and they figured that the problem was with the touchscreen!!(zoinks!!) They will replace the touchscreen and it would cost me $145(8,000INR , expired warranty). They'll return it in 4 days. I'll post more when I get my SGS back.
Hmm, looks to me, you must have flashed something wrong/flashing process goes wrong. I would suggest this 'solution':
1. Flash a new recovery system. I suggest the latest TWRP recovery or flash the latest CWM. To me, CWM has given me lots of problems. You can flash it through computer or through CWM using their flashable zip.
2. Once then, wipe everything! Data, cache, dalvik cache.
3. Next, format the system! If you formatted system, you will lose your current rom. Meaning the phone will not boot up until you install/flash a ROM.
4.Install necessary stuff like Google Apps
Done! Things should be working right now. I had problems like you, my phone sometimes takes 2-5 minutes to boot.
I'm using the Samsung Galaxy S Plus I9001. So, I flashed Acro86's ICS rom. Super smooth.
Hope I helped you!

Hi, I have exactly the same problems.
I guess it's also touch error, I already changed it once and after the year and then started having problems as it was pressed alone, stuck all the time and stopped working. As I was reading and testing, I think I'll buy again the touch.
From Argentina.
Regards.

Just download the required Files in your Laptop, use CWM> mounts and storage> copy files to your SD card and flash
Install kies and adb. That will ensure that you have all the drivers. Just make sure that kies is not running when you want yo use odin.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1637966
Hi,
I would like to begin by thanking all the CM 10 developing team for their fabulous work!
Also, I'm sorry if this is a repost or posting in the wrong area. I searched allover but no one has had this issue on this device. I finally had to make a account as this is my first problem that's why I could not post in the development question.
I recently got the HTC Vivid. I did everything required to install Cyanogenmod mod, i.e. install rom, (I'm S-On) fastboot boot.img, etc...
After I had the phone setup and apps installed, I rebooted the phone. The phone stuck on the Cyanogenmod logo. I knew there was a problem after it did this twice. So, I booted into recovery to reinstall the rom after a full wipe. When selecting "choose zip from internal sd card", it gave "cannot mount internal emmc". I knew I had to start from the beginning as this is a soft brick. So, I relocked the bootloader, reverted to stock, then did everything again.
Again it did the same thing but this time it mounted the internal emmc but it would not boot past the logo.
I tried looking allover, even in other device forums, I did not find anything. PLEASE HELP!
JUST FYI, I AM NOT A DEVELOPER AND ALSO NOT A NOOB! I have rooted all the devices I have owned and I know what I'm doing for the most part. This is the first problem I have ever encountered!
Thanks
mubby93
Sounds like you are using clockworkmod
Uhhh...
Get twrp or the other recovery...
Then flash that...
Boot to recovery
Mount via USB in recovery
Let windows tell you it needs formatting and format it

Is the problem from cwm then?
Isn't it recommended to use cwm with cm?

I did it again and this time it worked! It even rebooted properly. Thanks!
Hey all.
So, i have a rooted z1 (rooted via towelroot), I installed Dual Recovery (using "Z1-lockeddualrecovery2.7.154-BETA" file), unlocked the bootloader, (backed my Rom using CWM) and have installed a Custom Rom (Paranoid Android).
The Rom is awesome, but I have tried to load my previous Stock Rom back - so that i know the process just in case.
CWM isn't able to mount my memory card. From what i can see this is a very common problem and there are lots of device specific variations of CWM to install that get around this, however they all come with heavy warnings about how they are made for Device A and should not be used on Device Z.
Some users have suggested that TWRP should be able to see the back up file and install from there, however, I cannot boot into TWRP. I've gone through NDRUtils and have tried the different button combinations at start up, all of it takes me to CWM only. I've looked back about Dual recovery and it says that i should have used the Dual Recovery file after flashing my Rom, which i did not do as i was to excited to get PA on my phone.
I'm probably doing something daft, but if someone has any similar experience I'd be grateful for the knowledge.
Can't you just flash the dual recovery again then put into twrp using power + vol down?
Sent from my C6903 using XDA Free mobile app
Thank you for the suggestion. I've tried that and it still just boots to cwm. I've tried pressing the vol down once, and I've tried hammering it repeatedly when turning on as well.
You do know you can't restore a cwm backup via twrp? They are not compatible
Sent from my C6903 using XDA Free mobile app
Yeah, I figured that was the case, but at the moment I can't use the back up on cwm anyway as it doesn't Mount the SD card. I tried moving the back up on to the internal memory, no luck .

Try using a third party sd card mounter, or take the sd card out and put it into a sd card reader, then copy the backup to your PC then move it to your phones internal storage :clockworckmod/backups and restore it from there.
I'm not really able to help anymore, my phone has just died an hour ago and will be sent away tomorrow :crying:
