Hi everyone...
i have this rom : cm-9-20120611-NIGHTLY-galaxysmtd
Camera have some problem.
Sometimes Camera doesn't work (not so often).
ALWAYS Video Camera doesn't work!
Any solution?
thanks
which rom did you use previously. did you follow the instructions as stated on the CM9 Nightlies thread.
I'm thinking this is caused by some installation problems, Try reflashing the ROM and see if it helps(with wipes if required).
Good Luck
Can you play videos and stream with youtube? do you have a bigmem kernel?
I flashed with new releas of 06.15 and it's seems to work... thanks dude!
Problem again.
Photo works perfect.
Video start to rec but the image force close....
My friend (with the same device) has the rom of 06.04 and work everytingh. can i flash my rom (06.15) with older one? just "update" from CWM?

Hello everyone,
I have installed CM9 - Nightly0715 on GT-i9000 recently and I'm facing some small issues but for me, a bit annoying. Maybe you could help me to resolve it !
1/ Can we switch off the sound of camera when we take photos ? If no, nevermind.
2/ The front camera isn't working with Tango, I got a black screen.. Is it a known problem ? Any tips for resolving it ? Or a fix is coming soon ?
Thanks for your help,
Regards,

With a root explorer you can delete the ogg file
You can find it here /system/media/audio/ui/
Mine is named camera_click.ogg but the name can be different depending to the ROM

Why don't you flash it to the latest CM9 version (RC2 as of now) and try testing it there?

EDIT:
Sorry, problem solved...
First time flashing ICS to your Galaxy S (or coming from another ROM)?
Root your device and install ClockworkMod Recovery.
Reboot into Recovery using 3-button-combo
Do a Nandroid backup!
WIPE (wipe data/factory reset + wipe cache partition)
Install the ROM from internal sdcard using ClockworkMod Recovery
Optionally install the Google Addon
WIPE again or Calendar Sync will not work.
i forgot the WIPE again...

Is your front camera working on the stock Camera app? I don't actually have tried Tango, but you can test it by installing other app that uses front camera to see whether its a ROM issue or an App issue.

For me it is working.
Got nothing special installed but "stock" CM9 RC2.
Install minicamera from CWM then restart and instal Camera_updated.apk from phone.
For me it works somehow, to be further developed, but I do not know.
works, only on ICS.

it's not possible, that patch causes libbinder not to load ( = stuck at white screen )
For me it gives camera has stopped.
I am rebooting the phone now, maybe it will work.
Still the same, tho i had the same problem on AOKP, so i'm probably doing something wrong.

LgCamera doesn't give any errors, tho there is no preview and nothing happens when you click the snap button, but i guess that is some progress.

@the whisp
White screen only shows if you do not install gapps. Dunno why.
Tried reinstalling the rom. Still the same. Haven't tried with 10/08 nightly.
Edit 2: This makes me come to a conclusion that maybe those openGL drivers from that nightly are making camera work?

Flashed using CWM (Latest release's result): white screen and never boots to the home screen
the said release's that claimed working:
Flashed my way: installed the camera ics.apk and says unfortunately yada yada yadah
Flashed on CWM: same result. white screen and never boots to the home screen. tried all the possible way like flashing the JB GAPPS, tried all possible ways, but put my phone stuck on the white screen. ( CLARIFIED NOT WORKING FOR JB )

Something must went wrong while flashing. Try again.
I have cm10, but for I9000B, and everything is working fine, but since it is different from I9000, I don't know.
Try to reflash it, see if it works

I have just installed a new ROM in my Milestone for first time and used CyanogenMod 9.1.0d
Everything looks amazing but I noticed my soft home button doesn't work AT ALL, camera button isn't working either, I cant see the lock screen as other versions, can't open Google Play app and can't synchronize my Google account so I don't have access to my phone contacts
Have someone else happened (and fixed) this problems??
Thanx
Did you flash GApps?
??

did the buttons work on stock ??
never seen
never heard
i had every possible rom for this device (910d right now) and never had button problems
did you follow http://www.mrmuh.com/2012/01/update-a-motorola-milestone-from-motorola-firmware-to-cyanogenmod-7/ ?
if not use this guide replace cm7 with cm9.1.0d
100% working
I fixed the problem already but forgot to erase this trend... the problem was after wipe I installed CM9 and Gapps together and got that problem... after wiping all again I installed CM9 rebooted and installed Gapps and worked fine.
Still have no idea what that bug ever happened but i fixed
But I changed CM9 to CM7 cause my battery was dropping from 100 to 0 in 4 hours, not good if I'm too much time out of home. Thanks anyway for your interest

Hello, @IGGYVIP I'm having problems with my A853 again, installed the CM7 as always but now i can't get through the MOTOROLA logo... can't make the phone to wake up, and I was looking for the tutorial you mentioned (same I used before) but seems MrMuh's webside is out.
by any case, do you have that tutorial? I wanna start from the ground and reinstall the 2ndboot and the CM7 ... or maybe you have a better solution
thanks anyway
greetings,
No problem
