I am currently working on a ROM and was hoping a Dev or two could help to point my n00bish programming skills in the right direction. It is built off of CyanogenMod RC3 and I am currently trying to get it out for testing.
For all of you who think I shouldn't try to do this, shut up and go away. I want to do this, and it is my choice as to whether or not I do this.
This will be my first ROM, and I need someone to do this with me. So who will help?
If you need to I can send you the zip.
Thank you to those that do help!

What?
You really didn't ask any specific questions. I'm sure you can get some answers, but no one is going to walk you through the process - there is Google Search to find walk-throughs and tutorials.
Be specific as to what you need assistance with.
(Plus... telling others to "shut up and go away" probably won't have people lining up to help...)

The search button is located in the upper right-hand corner.
This should have been made in the General forum which is used for Q&A, not the app forum

yes do what donjaun said with search, but since you're new to android you're probably new here too
Rooting is hmmhow can i explain it - having "all" access to your phone? Sort of like jailbreaking for iproducts, but better.
Yes there is a way to manually do it, but you'll need root(go learn how to root your phone by searching) Then you'll be able to flash many roms(roms are like different themes/mods. you can even flash offical releases)
Hi,
I just got my new Captivate from AT&T. I want to know, how to ..
1. Root
2. Wifi Tether
Please direct me to appropriate forum tutorials.
(Iam newbee to Captivate, but not new to Rooting, I did root my HTC EVO and did Wifi Tether on Sprint. I can quickly get upto speed on this too, but just need a bit of help to start off...)
Thanks in advance

can you guys help me with some links on how to flash a verizon droid to cricket?also where to download the needed files. for some reason the search bar on the forum isnt dropping down for me to type in it. thx !
Hello everyone, I am terribly sorry to make this post since after scouring this page Ive seen alot of either unanswered questions or members upset with noobs for posting in the wrong place.
Sooo i'm gonna give everyone my run down and hope someone can walk me through this.
I bought my Motorola Droid Bionic Used and Rooted. I unrooted it to take into Verizion due to media file and battery issues. Afterwords I attempted to understand the "simple step by step" rooting process. Somehow I messed up somewhere and now have the Bionic Eclipse ICS v1.3 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1965305 running on my phone but unrooted. I have everything backed up through Titanium Back up. Can someone please help me with my lack of "su code" issue. I have spent the last 6 hrs trying to figure out where I went wrong working with Motofail and Petes motorola root tools.
Please feel free to pm or email me.
Sincerely,
Ethan S.
