First make sure that your phones' bootloader has been unlocked. Then download nAa 11 kernel and MiniCM7.Put the ROM in your SDcard and turn off your phone.Flash nAa 11 kernel. After done flashing kernel, reboot to recovery by pressing back button countinuosly when you see nAa logo.In recovery,do full wipe, wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache, flash the ROM and reboot..

first, miniCM7 only built on custom kernel, so you've to unlock your bootloader
and then flash the nAa kernel or AlfsCM7 kernel
about flashing from custom rom, its just the same, you go into the recovery and simply flash it with the right kernel

CyanogenMod

At the beginning : this is my first post forgive me any misstake.
Is there a possibilty to flash the official Cyanogenmod 7.1 without unlocking the bootloader and flashing a kernel?
BTW: Is there a good CM9 or other ICS rom for the E15i
( for Ics i would flash the kernel. not for cm 7.1 because GingerXperia is very nice)
Thanks
No you cant flash official cyanogen mod 7.1 without installing custom kernel.
And there is no cm9 rom which can be used daily for x8.
Currently we have two AOSP ICS ROMs troufiniou's which is stoped I think and paul-xxx's. They still habe some bugs and in my opinion they are still not for daily use.
There are some guys that try to make a CM9.
Still just use GingerDx or somethin that is checked from the community!
Thanks
THx for fast reply. I will use GingerXperia. GingerDx works with stock kernel??
I will wait for a stable CM9.
Thank you very much
you can install rom(just rom) with out unloucking boot loader
does someone has experiences with gingerdx and gingerxperia?? which is better?

Alfs kernel or nAa kernel are pretty good. GingerDx is my favourite ROM.
Well your bootloader is unlocked so either of the kernels have CWM recovery installed (xRecovery is pretty much obsolete). "craking bootloader" is legal to do this. An advantage of having Android. Most phones come these days with there bootloaders unlocked.
This is nAa description of how to install his kernel found on his thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1350484

it mean :
- Download the kernel .ftf file and move it to Flashtool\firmwares so that Flashtool can pick it up
- Flash the kernel via Flashtool (turn off phone, press back button, connect your usb phone cable to computer, see led in your phone blink green, then release back button. flashing should be running.. wait until finished..
- unplug your usb phone cable
- turn on your phone.

hello vicky
in order to flash kernels you need to unlock your bootloader....
You may search the forum for unlocking the bootloader.
But keep extra caution in the process of unlocking bootloader because you may brick your phone.
Press thanks if I helped.....

I have unlocked my bootloader, i just want to know that can I flash kernel with any rom installed, I have Froyopro, so can i flash nAa kernel, I am in stock kernek now
Froyopro propably won't start on nAa kernel and it will stop after boot animation/kernel animation. You should try miniCM7 (and based on it ROMs) versions 2.1.8 and 2.1.9 for kernels nAa 10 and 11. If You would like older versions of MiniCM on kernels nAa 10 and 11 You will have to install also new graphic drivers (in CWM), cause without them performance will be very low. nAa 09 suits MiniCM7 ROMs f.e. 2.1.6 and 2.1.7. So there's a plenty of options

If you want to install MiniCM7, you need aNa kernel. unlocked bootloader=> flash aNa kernel=> install Roms!
Check the date of manufacturing first before unlocked bootloader, otherwise, it may break your phone!
As You can see at MiniCM's google page: http://code.google.com/p/minicm/ versions 6 supports stock SE kernel. If You want miniCM7 - it's neccesary to flash nAa kernel.
1). Download ROM and copy it on SD.
2). Flash nAa kernel.
3). Go into CWM recovery, which is built-in in nAa kernel and do full wipe.
4). In CWM Install custom.zip from SD card
If You install CWM7 without nAa kernel propably it won't start at all. And propably You will have to use SEUS to back to stock SE ROM, cause I think there will be no option to get into recovery

Kernel nAa is for MiniCM7 ROMs (and based-on ROMs). So You can choose between f.eg. original MiniCM7 2.1.9, iROM v005, GingerXperiaRay.
The ROM You mentioned is for ALFS kernel
If You unlocked Your bootloader it will be unlocked, even if You flash stock ROM. But if You do so You will have to change kernel and root Your phone again, cause stock ROM works only on stock kernel

[Q] Please Help in Installing JellyBean

I have Sony ericsson w8 and I have flash it with x8 kernal (2.0.0.A.53) and installed GingerDx. Now I am putting Jelly bean but the naA jb kernal or Ics kernal is showing 'flashing aborted' while flashing . Neither ICS nor JB is installing on my X8. Now i am running gingerDx..
So please help me in installing JB or ICS custom kernal with full procedure.
Thankyou....
Easy method,
1. flash nAa jb 05
2. flash any jb rom u want as mentioned in thread
3.flash nAa jb 06
Or you can workaround by editing the rom zip but above method is easier
Happy Flashing JB

no, sony ericsson hadn't been that much of "friendly" to AOSP, you need to check it first with s1tool then if your mfg date is 11w29 below you can unlock it
