So i bought a few of these batteries off of ebay and they are OEM HTC 1500maH batteries that come with the EVO. However when i put it in i cant press the letter T. i knwo this is happeneing due to pressure on the screen (its a little bigger than the 1300) but its weird cuz when i put the batteries in my moms incredible the problem doesnt happen. can someone please help me find a fix for this issue. its realllly annoying. and also i know it has nothing to do with the software cuz ive tried flashing multiple roms.
not sure if it has anything to do with it, but do you and your mom both have the same types of screens, or maybe one of you has SLCD, etc.?
I have an HTC Evo 1500 in my inc and T works for me. I'm AMOLED. Let us know what you've got.
I have an 1800 battery off of ebay and its a good bit bigger then the stock battery and everything still works
We all have AMOLED so i cant figure out why there should be a problem with just "my" phone
that's no fun man :/ just curious, what happens if you hold the phone horizontal?
Works perfectly fine. But I don't use landscape very much...

No problems with the Seidio 1750mah battery.
ok ive been using the stock battery due to the whole T not registering and i just got a siedio innocase 2 and popped it on my DI and the problem started happening with the 1300+ innocase! but now its even worse, the T, G and V wont register with the case on.. So im thinking about taking my phone into verizon and getting a replacement, but im not sure if they would give me a new phone because they might give me some its a 3rd party product bs and their not responsible for it... anyone have any suggestions on how i could get a replacement? lol
Well you said you noticed it when using an OEM battery... So obviously it's a problem with the phone.
Make sure you show them what happens when you try it on both you and your mom's Incredibles.
yeah im going to take them both in and show them. i should probably restore my stock backup and turn security back on before i take it in yeah?

That would probably be smart, yes.
so i brought it in showed them the problem and knowing how verizon reps are (they think wiping the data fixes everything) they just wiped the data, problem was still there and a new phone should be here tuesday. just crossing my fingers the same thing doesnt happen to the new phone.

I have a question, did they let you keep your current defective phone while they sent a new one?

Hi all,
For a long time, my headphone jack was giving me issues. Before I would just have to wiggle around the headphone plug and it would work.
But gradually, the problem got worse and worse, and now even wiggling won't fix it. Now the headphone jack basically won't work at all.
Of course, I tried different pairs of headphones.
I saw a thread on google about steel droid seeming to cause an issue for some people, and I did use steel droid, but it seems unlikely. (And I'm pretty sure the problem began before I flashed that anyways). (not allowed to post links)
I haven't tried using recovery yet, but that is a last resort.
However, I did recently use recovery and then flashed liberty ROM.
Anyways, if this is a hardware problem which requires me to send the phone in, will I be able to flash the phone to stock? Would the recovery on the development forums be okay (as for not letting Verizon know the tampering I've done heh heh).
Anyways, thanks for reading!
Sounds physical to me. Use the fastboot files to return your phone to stock

Yeah just load the stock ROM on and unroot and make it look stock and you'll be fine. I think we have SBF.

If you could wiggle it before to get it to work, it is definetly a hardware issue. The terminals most likely came unsoldered from the board. Flash it back to stock and exchange it, or learn how to solder

Well, if your the type of person that wraps the headphones around the phone while the jack is still plugged in then over time the jack gets realll messsed up. Have had 2 broken headphone jacks off of ipods. Finally the guy at apple told me the reason they keep breaking is what i said above. Idk if you do that but dont do that ever!

So for some reason, my screen keeps recognizing clicks that i don't do. In another way, it clicks on itself. I can leave it on the table with the screen on and by itself, it will make a phone call, or open an app or something. It only clicks on stuff that are in the bottom 1/5th of the screen. Its on every rom, not just the midnote 2.0 that i am using.
Anyone have a solution?
Sounds like a display issue. have u recently sat on it or maybe applying pressure to that part of the screen? or it may be cause by magnets on cases etc....not really sure if it can be fixed unless u replace the whole screen entirely...
Same screen issue!
My Galaxy Note just started doing this as well. Mine is on a stock rom, and I've tried a factory reset and it hasn't helped. I'm wondering if there's some sort of screen diagnostics out there that can help identify the issue. The problem is intermittent, but sometimes when it gets going its just click after click after click on the same spot...
Nope I haven't sat on it. Do you think Samsung would fix it under the two year warranty?

After the factory wipe and reset do you check to see what applications are running? Do you have absolutely no other apps that have been installed?
There have been some early warnings of virus being written for android so I have used an antivirus program for last eight weeks and never had a problem - perhaps you have an unwelcome visitor?
Otherwise definitely go for a replacement, especially if the phone is only a few weeks old.
I use an antivirus app that I downloaded from the market a little while ago. I ran a scan with it and there is nothing wrong so I guess that my best bet would be to get a replacement. Will Samsung replace it even though I am in the us?

all the sounds stopped working.. music ringer alarm etc.... they all work with the headphones though... haven't rooted or anything.. all stock... any suggestions?.. thanks
Try resetting phone.. if it doesn't solve problem. then it might be hardware issue.

Took it to the local Samsung customer service shop... $25 and they replaced the speaker.. Working fine now...
Im glad its sorted but $25? They should have done that for free in my book.

The speaker went on mine last night... time to flash to stock and return to sender! And no way am I going to pay for the repair - all the Notes are still under warranty.
Same thing here
I was listening music when the speaker stops :crying:... without blows or falls...
I tryed to re-install Android but nothing happens...
I bought the speaker from ebay and when it arrives I will change for myself...
Later I tell you if working...
Hi, my Desire C is very quiet on music playback, and on ringing too. However it is set to max. With earphones it is loud enough. Is there any solution?
Nah. You just have to get used to it...

I think it shouldnt be like that. One friend has desire x, it was loud enough, but had to give to warranty due to lcd fault. When she got it back desire x was updated also, but since then it is as quiet as mine. I do not listen to music much, i dont care it is quiet on music playback, but i hate when it is quiet when someone calls me. In settings everything is set to max and quiet on pickup is unchecked.

Looks like a hardware issue.
I think its software fault, but dont know how to fix it. and else what makes me think it is software problem- it has only 3 system languages. i have never seen only 3 languages in any of android phone. and sometimes when i turn it off and then on back it cannot detect network, it detects it in very very long time or when restarting.

Network is a different issue. It might be a faulty radio or something. I am facing a similar problem. It says NO SERVICE frequently, whereas the same sim card in other phones shows full bars. I'd recommend you take your phone to the service center if under warranty, else why don't you try flashing and experimenting.

Good Luck for that. Meanwhile, regarding the network issue, I have started a thread here.

Congratulations! Let me try the stock ROM once again as well.
Are you sure network problem was solved? Even in "WCDMA / GSM auto" mode?
