all the sounds stopped working.. music ringer alarm etc.... they all work with the headphones though... haven't rooted or anything.. all stock... any suggestions?.. thanks
Try resetting phone.. if it doesn't solve problem. then it might be hardware issue.
thanks...traveling now.. will try that when I return home.... has tia happened to any one else?

Try sucking and force blowing into it while playing a song and see if it responds to anything
tried it all. . still not working. . bringing it to samsung today. .
as i search google this seems to a common problem with samsung phones
thanks for the advice though. . .
Thats not good.
Hormone dose not go, its took me ages to set this up.

Took it to the local Samsung customer service shop... $25 and they replaced the speaker.. Working fine now...
Im glad its sorted but $25? They should have done that for free in my book.

The speaker went on mine last night... time to flash to stock and return to sender! And no way am I going to pay for the repair - all the Notes are still under warranty.
Same thing here
I was listening music when the speaker stops :crying:... without blows or falls...
I tryed to re-install Android but nothing happens...
I bought the speaker from ebay and when it arrives I will change for myself...
Later I tell you if working...

So for some reason, my screen keeps recognizing clicks that i don't do. In another way, it clicks on itself. I can leave it on the table with the screen on and by itself, it will make a phone call, or open an app or something. It only clicks on stuff that are in the bottom 1/5th of the screen. Its on every rom, not just the midnote 2.0 that i am using.
Anyone have a solution?
Sounds like a display issue. have u recently sat on it or maybe applying pressure to that part of the screen? or it may be cause by magnets on cases etc....not really sure if it can be fixed unless u replace the whole screen entirely...
Same screen issue!
My Galaxy Note just started doing this as well. Mine is on a stock rom, and I've tried a factory reset and it hasn't helped. I'm wondering if there's some sort of screen diagnostics out there that can help identify the issue. The problem is intermittent, but sometimes when it gets going its just click after click after click on the same spot...
Nope I haven't sat on it. Do you think Samsung would fix it under the two year warranty?

After the factory wipe and reset do you check to see what applications are running? Do you have absolutely no other apps that have been installed?
There have been some early warnings of virus being written for android so I have used an antivirus program for last eight weeks and never had a problem - perhaps you have an unwelcome visitor?
Otherwise definitely go for a replacement, especially if the phone is only a few weeks old.
I use an antivirus app that I downloaded from the market a little while ago. I ran a scan with it and there is nothing wrong so I guess that my best bet would be to get a replacement. Will Samsung replace it even though I am in the us?

a month ago I turned in my white vivid because the buttons were worn.. so they sent me a new on.. haha. anyway, I just tried to use head phone jack and the speakers still play and nothing from the head phones.. I tried 3 different ones and an aux to my home system. IS there any setting or way to fix it myself or is this another 2-3 weeks warranty thing =-/
I had that same exact problem when I flashed a Rom. I went back to stock and it worked. Reflashed the Rom again and it fixed it. Maybe if you're on a custom Rom it didn't install properly.

no.. mine is completely stock.. I think I will have to do the save data/ reset and if that dont work end it in.. maybe I might get lucky. It doesnt look like a part easily replaced.
I've been experiencing weird issues mostly during Spotify audio streaming as well as during playing local files and a video once. It will play music fine for a couple songs then it will stop all sound yet show that it is still playing. From that point generally if I skip to the next track it will hard reboot. I tried a factory reset already but it hasn't helped. Anyone know my options here? I'd return it but I dropped the phone about a foot yesterday and the glass cracked near the volume buttons, it doesn't go over the screen but it's enough that I couldn't return it now.

My wife was complaining about something similar today, except hers didn't reboot, but she also might not have tried to skip track. Just to mention though, Spotify dropped an updated version to the play store today. Perhaps that might fix your issue?

You're not the only one. A friend dropped his on Saturday and got a crack all the way across the back/home/menu buttons. I thought these things were supposed to have Gorilla Glass on them... Anyways, you could always go to AT&T's website and purchase the insurance since you're still in the 30 day window, for $6.99/mo, and then pay the $125 deductible to get a replacement...

Unfortunately it has happened during a video, during Spotify (multiple versions, found a list of many old APKs on their forum) and also during Pandora so I'm not really sure what to do but wait and hope someone with more knowledge points me in the right direction.

I'll probably just leave it the way it is since it doesn't actually affect the glass. If I ever figure out how to add a warranty I'll probably do it now so I can replace it once I'm fed up with looking at the crack. Thanks for the suggestions!
After you log in to myatt, if you hover over the myatt menu, and then wireless, there's an option about mobile insurance. If you go there, it gives you the option to add insurance to eligible devices.

Thanks for the pointer. I'll take a look when I'm near a PC.

I did a factory reset and installed only Spotify and the reboot occurred in 5 songs and was accompanied by a loud high pitched sound that persisted until it finally rebooted. Looks like I have dud.
Might be worth seeing if you can get it fixed under warranty for that issue Ewen disregarding the damage...

Yeah you're right, I contacted HTC first (haha) to see what they have to say about replacing it even though the glass is cracked. If it ends up being 200+ to get it fixed I don't know what I'll end up doing. Sucks because other than the audio reboots and the crack this phone is my favorite android phone ever and I've had a lot of them.

What all causes it to reboot? Any streaming audio?

It's happened in Google Music both local and streamed, Spotify, Pandora and one video on a website. I called HTC and have an RMA in progress

I haven't had any issues with audio playback. I've spent a bunch of hours on pocket casts listening with no hiccups or issues.

That gives me hope my replacement will be fine. Thanks.

Similarly, I've listened to Pocket Casts and Spotify each for hours on end without issue, so it definitely sounds like an RMA is the best bet. Good luck

Thanks, it's in the box and ready to ship. Hopefully there is some development going on by the time I get a working one back, it kinda surprises me there isn't more interest in this. It's the first Android phone that felt right in my hand, was decently quick, easy to get to stock and had great battery life.
Hi, my Desire C is very quiet on music playback, and on ringing too. However it is set to max. With earphones it is loud enough. Is there any solution?
Nah. You just have to get used to it...

I think it shouldnt be like that. One friend has desire x, it was loud enough, but had to give to warranty due to lcd fault. When she got it back desire x was updated also, but since then it is as quiet as mine. I do not listen to music much, i dont care it is quiet on music playback, but i hate when it is quiet when someone calls me. In settings everything is set to max and quiet on pickup is unchecked.

Looks like a hardware issue.
I think its software fault, but dont know how to fix it. and else what makes me think it is software problem- it has only 3 system languages. i have never seen only 3 languages in any of android phone. and sometimes when i turn it off and then on back it cannot detect network, it detects it in very very long time or when restarting.

Network is a different issue. It might be a faulty radio or something. I am facing a similar problem. It says NO SERVICE frequently, whereas the same sim card in other phones shows full bars. I'd recommend you take your phone to the service center if under warranty, else why don't you try flashing and experimenting.

Congratulations! Let me try the stock ROM once again as well.
Are you sure network problem was solved? Even in "WCDMA / GSM auto" mode?
Yeah she was fine for a week.... then after work Sunday it just failed.
No touch less controls, no google now
People can't hear me in calls unless I scream and even then they just great noise
:/
And now I must go a week or two without a phone?
Ugh...
I may go and just buy a nexus 5 just to not wait... But I've really loved my Dev edition.
Any one had this problem?

I was putting my screen protector on and I guess the solution got into the mic. It wasn't working for a few hours. I also had to scream at it to get it to work.

Yeah I'm just returning mine, I don't have 7 days to go missing work calls :/ , in the mean time I'm going to buy a refurb Nexus 4.
Freaking pathetic that the mic breaks after a week.
They'll overnight a brand new phone to you. Just saying...
Does the phone fill with the water? Perhaps it's the problem.
Once my phone was taked in water, and I used hair-dryer to make it dry. then it works well now.
I've been through 3 of them and i'm getting my replacement today. I know this sounds silly but ,but diid any of you happen to have just put on a screen protector? I ask because to forums ive seen recognize this as the problem. defective screens.
I had the same problem, but I had my X since November and all of the sudden it went bad. People couldn't hear me on calls, no Google now either it was just dead.
Went to Verizon store they checked the phone and decided to send me a replacement.
I got my replacement 3 days later and guess what FREAKING same problem with the replacement phone, it came with a broken Mic. Went back to Verizon and now they are sending another replacement. I don't know what's the deal with the microphones. For me it seems that the opening it might be too exposed to dust and with time this gets into the mic. I might get my replacement today.
