my htc hd7s bootloader screen shows just one line
PD29150 SS-BC(4k)
i got this when something went wrong while RSPL HSPL...
i am not able to install any rom on this..
pls help..
iam attaching snap of screen ..
That's what happens when the phone gets bricked, the bootloader gets damaged and you only get one line, the devices MID information. Did you downgrade your spl first to 3.xxx or below before trying to install rspl/hspl? Can you get into USB host mode? Press camera+volume down+power on, this will bring you into USB host mode. If you can get into USB host mode there is a chance you can repair the bootloader with the Goldcard method. Post back your results and we'll see what we can do to get it fixed for you!
thanks xdrc45
i will try this and get back to u.

Its not really hard you just have to make a Y cable (otg) out of some USB cables and have a SD card reader/flash drive. Here's a detailed tutorial on how to make the Y cable, how to use it and the SD card reader!

I was wondering if this can be done by taking out the SD card and putting the stock ROM files on it, and then flashing it. Or using an old 2GB card with the files on it.
Just a question, no need for flaming
I don't think by removing the SD Card and reinsert it again can work. But who knows. The best way is using what sh4dow86 recommend.

can i know what is the point of installing new radio? Which radio do u all recommend?
flash a new rom only if have a problem with the current radio....if radio works properly there's no need to flash one
which ruu should i download?
from this link
http://www.filefactory.com/f/6eefe15693c7a0c9/
os 7.1
radio 5.71.09.02a
bootloader 5.11.2250.0
chip version 2.2.5.0
is your radio not working? only then flash a diff Radio....
u can flash any radio.... preferably the one similar to your present rom now...
---------- Post added at 03:01 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:00 PM ----------
install R/Hspl and flash a custom ROM...that should solve the problems with your Radio if any
I meant that in the goldcard method
They told that i need nbh file
So i dont know which file to choose in the in link they posted
oh that....my bad....i was thinking of the radio....
in that case anything is fine....u can use any rom....
u just use this rom to lower your bootloader.....
which ruu file should i download?
There is a long list of them. I cant choose which one.
Thanks in advance.
Any rom is the same....doesnt matter....just download any file and go on with the tutorial....
Can i install custom rom right after i downgrade my ospl or should i go through any other process?
after u lower your bootloader....u hav to install RSPL or HSPL.....that's like a safe mode for flashing.... then u can flash any custom ROM you want

bootloader
hey sirajgoku, thanks for the link..:good: im going to try ur advice, but can u please tell me where to get a goldcard and another thing I just try to get the hd7 in bootloader and it got and it's showing me this "PD29110 SS-BC (4k)", do u know where can I find what that means..
thank u so much for everything.
The PD29110 is your devices MID (model id) There are a couple goldcard method tutorials available for hd7. Here's a pretty detailed one you can follow. you need a card reader, some USB cables to make a Y cable, easiest method Y cable (otg)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=893152
The hd7 is considered the Schubert, which you'll see in the tutorial.
Are you getting any other information while in bootloader mode, like bootloader version, OS or mico info?
If you found this helpful please click he thank you button!
no more info in bootloader mode, it doesn't give me any version or os, just what I wrote before "PD29110 SS-BC (4k)".. when I turn on the phone it just stay in the htc screen and then vibrate like 7 times and that's it.

Ok, definitely bricked, but is it a small or big brick and it sounds like you have the big brick! Then the only other question is, can you enter USB host mode still and if so does your computer recognize it when it's plugged in? Press camera+volume down+power on, to enter in host mode.
If you found this helpful please click the thank you button!

If you can get to BL mode then you should be able to get to USB HOST MODE. If you can do that PM me. I'm in Ft Lauderdale not too far and I'v goldcarded at least ten of 'em. If you can't get to Host mode next stop JTAG.
It will go into bootloader mode but it's bricked. Meaning there's only one line of information showing in BL mode which is the devices MID. If it will go into USB host mode there is a possibility of fixing it using the Goldcard method. If it won't go into USB host mode, there is one more possibility of fixing it besides using and having to resort to the Jtag/riff box. Using a cab and the cab sender, like the schubert 2250.21.50001.728 cab. Which if successful would upgrade the spl to 5.xxx and would added a few more lines of information to the bootloader screen but wouldn't repair it completely to where the serial/USB show up on the bottom line. However this should allow you to enter into USB host mode now and then you could use the Goldcard method and flash a stock/shipped rom for your devices specific carrier. This should repair the bootloader and should also downgrade your spl and OS version as well, depending on what version you flash. At this point you can update through Zune to the current OS version and mango. Then if you wanted to, you could use your goldcard to downgrade the spl and install rspl/hspl and flash a custom rom!

Your HD7 is semi/small bricked then.
You will have to use the goldcard/ Y cable method to repair the bootloader.
This is the basic idea of what you'll have to do:
Use the goldcard/ Y cable method and flash a stock/shipped rom for your devices specific carrier, through USB host mode. This should repair the bootloader and depending on what stock/shipped rom you use it might downgrade your SPL and OS version, which your SPL has to be at or below 3.xxx to install RSPL or HSPL (which is required to flash a custom rom) and then you can flash a custom rom via bootloader mode.
Look at Shadows tutorial, (below) it explains how to downgrade SPL, flashXSPL and install a custom rom and he has a link for all the stock/shipped roms. Read through it and then click on the goldcard link and that will explain on how to use the goldcard/ Y cable method. You have to make or purchase a Y cable and need a flash drive/card reader, download the goldcard tool and a stock/shipped rom. It's pretty easy to do, let me know if you need any help or have any question.

Try this, these are problems that usually cause it to get stuck in USB host mode
Sometimes if the Y cable is too long in length it won't work properly in transferring the data.
There are 2 .nhb files, so make sure your downloading the correct .nbh file (ruu_signed.nbh) and rename the ruu_signed.nbh to SCHUIMG.nbh Has to be capitalized letters when renaming the file.
Make sure the correct ends are plugged in where they should be.
Sometimes the camera button will get stuck in and prevent the device from flashing correctly.
Make sure the SD card is wiped clean and place the file inside the SD card and patch it with the goldcard tool.

There both great roms and there both on the 8779 build... I'm a huge fan of the Deepshining rom though, it has some cool extra features and the new USB video output.
Did you install RSPL or HSPL? If you installed HSPL all you have to do is enter bootloader mode and flash the rom, so it's really easy to switch from one rom to another if you want.
