I totally love it. It's got some various effects, focus modes, and my favourite tap anywhere to snap a photo. The only time I use the stock cam is panorama shots

I also really like ProCapture. It offers more options for dealing with different lighting conditions and the pictures just look better. I prefer it to other camera apps as it does not overwhelm you with editing options.

Agreed. The only issue I notice is that sometimes it has a focusing issue. But that can be resolved by just focusing a few more times.

I've noticed that too. However it is still faster than the stock camera, and doesn't seem to FC if you take multiple pictures in quick succession.

Ok ive looked all over and havent found this issue addressed. Is the pixelated screen a simple software update? Love the phone i just got it today but the screen makes everything hudt my eyes
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using xda premium
The screen is a pentile screen and is designed that way. It looks pixelated because instead of just RGB pixels, the layout is RGBW. This means 25% of the pixels on the screen are white, and make it brighter in daylight, and requires less power to brighten the screen. It just looks pixelated due to the pixel setup

It may just be me, but I've noticed since flashing TH3OR3Y's roms, the screen actually looks better. Anyone agree?
So i experimented an set the density to 250. I can barely notice the pixels now
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using XDA App
OK so after playing with it or a couple of hours, i can say that the screen now resembles my old Droid charge. It is crystal clear and still super bright. Anyone that hates the stock screen, i recommend you do this
Sent from my DROID BIONIC using XDA App
how do we change this?
I used from toolbox. But u can change it using a number of apps. You can also use root explorer and edit the build.prop, of course i would make a back up first

I'm trying it at 220 now. This is the setting I used for my charge and Droid x. I does appear more crisp. The lockscreen is way off like u said. I'm not to found of how it compressed the app drawers either. Gonna see how some other apps and games work as well. Overall I like it cuz it gets rid of the pixelation

This problem has been solved with the latest original update, i.e. V10h Open Europe.
My concern, however, isn't about the auto focus, but rather the image quality when talking pictures in low light condition. The result is often disappointing. When there's adequate light, the picture generated is great
I include some pics taken with this phone so you can see for yourself

INTRODUCTION
Hi everybody! Some time ago I searched a lot in the forum and I didn't find any good enough fisheye camera app. I love fisheye pictures (are those where the picture makes a wider capure in the same space of a normal picture. This way the picture seems to be curved, the farer objets seem to be ever farer and the objets which are close to the lens seem to be nearer).
This is an example:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Now that we all know what we are talking about let's stay on topic. It is obvious that this is impossible without a special lens. The software made for emulating this effect is crappy, (believe me, I tested them all... ) and taking this kind of pictures is impossible with our current camera.
THE SOLUTION
You have only two solutions:
- To buy a good wide-lens
- To get conformed with this new way of taking pics.
I am almost sure of that u know this method, but I share it anyway so if somebody don't know it can do it. Special thanks to the people in the thread "Post pictures taken from your Nexus 4!", who discover and share new things everyday!
WHAT YOU NEED
- Stock camera app with photosphere
- It works in every device with photosphere support.
HOW-TO
The method consists in taking at least nine pictures with photosphere. First of all you will decide where you want to have the center of the picture, you shot, then the side pics, then the pics that should go up and then the last line of shots, now you will understand.
Some suggestions:
- Sometimes, if you shot below the horizon line, objects can be deformed.
- If you shot more than 3-4 pics horizontally, the picture doesn't have a fisheye aspect but a normal panorama one, like in this pic (the pic is awesome but not a fisheye pic). The same user (BoneXDA, thanks) did a better example of a fisheye pic here.
- It doesn't matter if the object you are making the pic is higher or shorter than you, for example, a building, the closer you are to the horizon line (ground) the better effect you will get. Other example: the picture from the top of a building.
EXAMPLE TO UNDERSTAND
1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8
9
ANOTHER FINAL EXAMPLE
Quick video review on Youtube
I don't know if I explained it properly, or if you knew it but it consists in taking at least nine pics. Obviously if you are for example in the top of a building and want to make a pic of the street the proceedure will be done taking pics to the bottom, and not to the top, as I did in the example.
If you have any doubts I can manage to make a video tutorial. Hope this is helpful!! Thanks!!!
Yes, if you want you can post your fish eye pics! lol!

To make good spheres it is very important to:
- Have a good ilumination
- Some distance to things
My advice is to get into the "post pictures taken from your nexus 4" and search photosphere posts. You can learn a lot in that thread from very good nexus 4 photographers!!
Try again but not in your bedroom. Give us a pic from your window in mid-day light

Which settings? If you mean flash, HDR, grid, etc. It should be on the round bubble with the 3 dot menu which is located on the bottom right of your screen. If you're asking about the camera features like photo sphere, panorama, lens blur (Which is new) etc. You can swipe from the left side of your screen to the right in order to see them.

Well to be honest..all companies lie about the capabilites of their cameras in phones..the recent s5 ad..has the text..simulated images..

True but this camera has a 1/2,3" sensor, ok not the biggest but very big for a phone and a lot of compact cameras have this size sensor so it should perform as good as a compact camera not a DSLR obviously.
I doubt Sony will make the algorithms/compression much better on this phone now that the Z2 is out?

that's because there's 2 sources of light, the light of your TV and the light of your room, try a better target and compare
try wiping the lens everytime before taking photo.
But I think it is no problem at your result. it is normal when taking low light photo. sometime Z1 has focus problem (even it shows that it in focus, the image can still be smudged).
maybe you can try auto mode, it sometime give you better result.
