INTRODUCTION
Hi everybody! Some time ago I searched a lot in the forum and I didn't find any good enough fisheye camera app. I love fisheye pictures (are those where the picture makes a wider capure in the same space of a normal picture. This way the picture seems to be curved, the farer objets seem to be ever farer and the objets which are close to the lens seem to be nearer).
This is an example:

Now that we all know what we are talking about let's stay on topic. It is obvious that this is impossible without a special lens. The software made for emulating this effect is crappy, (believe me, I tested them all... ) and taking this kind of pictures is impossible with our current camera.
THE SOLUTION
You have only two solutions:
- To buy a good wide-lens
- To get conformed with this new way of taking pics.
I am almost sure of that u know this method, but I share it anyway so if somebody don't know it can do it. Special thanks to the people in the thread "Post pictures taken from your Nexus 4!", who discover and share new things everyday!
WHAT YOU NEED
- Stock camera app with photosphere
- It works in every device with photosphere support.
HOW-TO
The method consists in taking at least nine pictures with photosphere. First of all you will decide where you want to have the center of the picture, you shot, then the side pics, then the pics that should go up and then the last line of shots, now you will understand.
Some suggestions:
- Sometimes, if you shot below the horizon line, objects can be deformed.
- If you shot more than 3-4 pics horizontally, the picture doesn't have a fisheye aspect but a normal panorama one, like in this pic (the pic is awesome but not a fisheye pic). The same user (BoneXDA, thanks) did a better example of a fisheye pic here.
- It doesn't matter if the object you are making the pic is higher or shorter than you, for example, a building, the closer you are to the horizon line (ground) the better effect you will get. Other example: the picture from the top of a building.
EXAMPLE TO UNDERSTAND

ANOTHER FINAL EXAMPLE
Quick video review on Youtube
I don't know if I explained it properly, or if you knew it but it consists in taking at least nine pics. Obviously if you are for example in the top of a building and want to make a pic of the street the proceedure will be done taking pics to the bottom, and not to the top, as I did in the example.
If you have any doubts I can manage to make a video tutorial. Hope this is helpful!! Thanks!!!
Yes, if you want you can post your fish eye pics! lol!
Pretty cool gonna have to do more of these. This is just from my front porch

So I shoot under the horizontal line? I start at the top and just shoot nine pictures under it?

tried a Sphere of my room, but some things not well joined, I took every precaution, just a chair and a pillow were like as a ninja has a sword, were cut and not aligned, is this normal? the room was darker than normal, unfortunately came out grainy, but anyway, I still can not make a sphere as the examples from google, always something out failed. Already a panorama not.

To make good spheres it is very important to:
- Have a good ilumination
- Some distance to things
My advice is to get into the "post pictures taken from your nexus 4" and search photosphere posts. You can learn a lot in that thread from very good nexus 4 photographers!!
Try again but not in your bedroom. Give us a pic from your window in mid-day light
Quick video tutorial added to the OP. I did it in two minutes so don't be very hard with me!!

I also really like ProCapture. It offers more options for dealing with different lighting conditions and the pictures just look better. I prefer it to other camera apps as it does not overwhelm you with editing options.

Agreed. The only issue I notice is that sometimes it has a focusing issue. But that can be resolved by just focusing a few more times.

I've noticed that too. However it is still faster than the stock camera, and doesn't seem to FC if you take multiple pictures in quick succession.

Thats exactly what I did, also make sure you didn't lock your auto rotate in your notifications (the icon with the to circle arrows with a lock icon next to the setting button and date in your notifications).

If either of you could post full resolution shots of the home screen with a light background so I can determine the heights of the nav bar and notification bar in each orientation that would be most appreciated.
@the noan
From your landscape shot it appears the nav bar is 64px high instead of the stock/default 75px high. Did you make any adjustments to the height or did Nova make it that size?
Though I would pitch in

The forum seems to downsize attachments, but fortunately by 50% in this case so getting the pixel size was easy. :good:
The nav bar is 64px high in landscape and 75px high in portrait. I wonder if Nova can be tweaked to have more control over this. The notification bar looks to be 33px in both landscape in portrait, which I expected.
Thanks for the shots!

I have to agree with the other guys.
If you're concerned about passwords and not wanting other people to peak or to spy on you while you're doing stuff, you should have either gone for a smaller sized screen or simply do not perform tasks that are data sensitive. I am experienced when it comes to security, believe me privacy screen or not, if a person with certain skills such as identity theft they just need to memorise finger stroke positioning. I taught myself how to be able to read text being typed by a person on a laptop facing them at a side angle. Granted not everyone can do this. Whar I am saying it's not impossible.

Some people want privacy, period. If you don't care, then fine.
Some people just don't want the people next to them being able to see what they are doing.
It doesn't have to be text, it could easily be pictures.
It could be as simple as wanting to look at pictures of your kids on the subway without worrying that some pervert next to you can watch and see where they live. Or wanting to log onto facebook, and go through a gallery without the person sitting next to you asking, 'hey, who is that?'
If I could get a case that had privacy protection, I could easily see using it every now and then.
I'm not going to apply a screen protector that I can't easily remove, however - that's overkill.

Hey guys, I took your advice and tried to make my own phone case out of recycled paper, it's still a beta but feel free to give me suggestions about how to make it stronger or make it fit the phone better. This is attempt number 8 and took 3 days to make. I have plenty ideas about how to decorate it and will be making more. If anyone here actually knows someone that produces cases cwn you please tell me about them because even if my cases are a failure, I still have good ideas about design, Thanks!!!
Edit: I made it more secure by adding another layer on the back and on the front. I also added a ring around the front so you can just hold the phone by the case and the phone won't fall out. Pictures are coming shortly after I decorate the back.
Edit: I finished decorating and now the pictures are being uploaded. If anyone wants a case made just pm me. This is beta 10.
Edit: Ok guys, the last case was a bit dull I'll admit that, so for the first "stable" it's going to be bright and funky, so keep your eyes peeled!!!
Edit: Ok guys, stable 1 "starburst" is officially complete, look for the colorful pictures below!!!
Edit: As a request I made a case with bubble wrap, it went pretty well but it's prone to bursting when dropped, going to do drop tests with it on with my actual phone inside, stay tuned and don't forget to rate the thread and subscribe!!!

Wow just noticed that. Hopefully they add it back in a future update.

Which settings? If you mean flash, HDR, grid, etc. It should be on the round bubble with the 3 dot menu which is located on the bottom right of your screen. If you're asking about the camera features like photo sphere, panorama, lens blur (Which is new) etc. You can swipe from the left side of your screen to the right in order to see them.

Just found the exposure settings in the advanced settings. You need to enable it. There are two picture above this post that shows you where the settings are.

It seems timer and time lapse function is no more in this camera build. Atleaset none that I could find.
Think I'll revert back to stock camera for now. :e
pictures are pretty freaking good.. and the blur feature is pretty nice
The timer was very handy

With front camera, take some pics with a lot of friends, it's horrible to catch and have a nice position
I like the quality control on panaroma
the option of the Timer & Countdown
Blurry photos, no focus on shutter press.....meh
