Does someone know, if I wipe cache, wipe dalvik, restore factory settings in my GB rom and then restore the CWM backup, then all the wiping and factory settings done before would be useless?

Hi,
I wiped my dalvik cache through CWM but now I'm getting into a bootloop, so I restored a backup of my NAND-Flash to get the cache back and then it works again...
Why is that so? Do I have to do anything else to get it working?
I wanted to wipe the cache cause I have some strange problems with Fearkill's edition, so I hoped that this will solve it...
Thanks
I have updated my i9000 to ics4.0.3 n now camera not responding and also I m unable to restore my backup. plz reply me soon .I m worried
reflash the ROM again....... before reflashing wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, wipe cache partition and do a factory data reset.
I am unable to use Google talk in cm9. It installs, but forces close when I open it...
factory reset and flash gapps again...it might help..
So, if I understand correctly....wipe cm9 to factory using webos. Then, reinstall cm9 and gapps?
Back up your apps using titanium backup or my backup pro. Go to recovery, take nandroid backup, factory reset, wipe cache, wipe dalvik cache, reflash cm9...reflash latest gapps....

That did the trick!
Hi guys,
Just a quick question about nandroid backup.
I am on ARHD 11.5, say if i backup then wipe and install say CM, and later i want to go back to ARHD, to i have to install ARHD again then preform the restore, or can i restore whilst being on CM and it will bring it back to ARHD in the process?
Thanks
you have to backup all the partitions, system, data, etc (except cache), if you are in CM, you should restore to ARHD, without problems, i recommend to do a normal wipe (system, data, cache, dalvik) then restore your nandroid, but perform the restore from CM should work...
I tried to revert back to old Samsung 4.1.2 from Paranoid Android and messed my N7000 up...
Got Paranoid Android (P.A) back but it is now stuck in a boot loop ...
Install CWM-based Recovery v6.0.3.2 and I can now see all the files on SD and internal memory
I tried to re-install P.A but only selected the wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache options, never Wipe data/Factory
Is it safe to do a Wipe data/Factory reset, then and then wipe cache partition, wipe dalvik cache and then re-install P.A???
If you are on a cm kernel then it's safe. You will need to wipe data to get out of boot loop.
