i want to change boot.img from joyos to cm or another custom rom because when start up the screen always show " a n d r o i d" text wiith background black.so when i copy boot.img to joyos custom rom and i flash it can my galaxy Ace can brick?
Every kernel contains a splash image. You can remove it by unpacking the kernel *something that i won't recommended to DIY*
And you cannot use stock kernel with cm roms and vice versa.

what is custom kernel ?? when it is required??is it included in custom ROM ???
so much confusion about custom kernel !!!
custom kernel is independent or dependent on bootloader ??? for to have custom rom we need custom kernel also ???
1. Custom kernel is a different base for your rom. Custom kernel requires unlocked bootloader. Custom kernel and unlocked bootloader provide some performance and capabilities benefit.
2. It depends on the type of the rom if you need or not to flash custom kernel. Many roms DO NOT REQUIRE flashing kernels, while some DO. You can find if rom requires custom kernel in the thread that the rom is posted...

I am currently running apocalypse rom(custom rom).
I would like to install a new custom rom (droid ace 2.1). I understood that in order to do that , I need to flash first a stock rom and then to flash the custom one.
I've seen this rom : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1703094&highlight=stock
is this a good stock rom to flash custom rom on it?
Thnx!
No need to flash stock. Directly flash droidace via cwm as per the steps given in the respective thread.

Thanks in advance
Seems you are on the leak Samsung jb with philz kernel. You can flash cm10 kernel or hydracore and then select boot into recovery and then flash the ROM. Boot into recovery will be under "advanced"

Gr.
You are using Philz kernel, or you want it?
Sent From My Rooted Samsung Galaxy S2 JB 4.1.2 (GT-I9100)
Hydracore kernel will be in the Original Development Section
So i can install this one Kernel_CM10_20121213_Nightly_CWM
Over my kernel which i have now
Or this one do you know whats better ?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1749863
you can use any. and as you are on TW JB phone wont boot on either. so preload all the required files before flashing the kernel just to be on the safe side

I'm on stock Rom GB 2.3.6 on my Samsung s plus and I tried to flash any Cyanogen Custom Rom in CWM ( Ics and Jb) and Always i get the same answer . O f course I rooted My phone ,Installed CWM and did all the wipes .Always the same answer no matter what version of Custom rom I tried to flash. What can I do?
Makesure you have to use correct version of cwm to install the cm. I recommend try cyanogenmod 10.1 JB 4.2.x . GO to the cyanogen official rom post (under ADC team).
FOllow all the instruction that stated inside the topic.
Any mismatch of the version of installation can fail to install rom.

You have i9001
The rom you try to flash is for i9000

Exactly.
Looks like your installation is failing because the file is for an I9000B. If you want to use CM10.1 on an I9001, you'll need to go here.
