its a question, kindly do not post bad posts! ok?

IMO.
There is not even a GB good enough for all.
ICS is the biggest priority for some of devs. here.
Now I ask to you, do you think LG would apply JB for OPB?
i dont think so, maybe maybe not
i wish that they launch 4.1 instead of 4.0
but still, other phone manufacturers support devices with only two versions
lg is doing 3 versions...a fourth one could be done or could be too much to ask
i dont think as they have to sell new products

It wouldn't make any difference! Jelly Bean is based on ICS, the devs may be able to port it!
It has already been ported to HTC One X in less than 24 hours lol.
It would be like porting 2.3.7 even if 2.3.4 already exist for our Optimus Black.

The best thing would be if LG just drops the idea of ICS and get on the Jelly Bean train
that's what i was talking about
but i dont think they'll do it as they have other phones to sell

Friends...is there any update on the ics build for galaxy note from samsung or cm9 or any custom rom?
There is an experimental build from cm9 team... but really excited for more progress about ics builds as a lot of other phones are progressing really well. Would love to know.
Thank you!

As per the posts in this forum, leaked version of ICS may come in few days. but the Official release may be in Feb or March. i think "maui" is waiting for ICS leak from Samsung for further developments in CM9 4.0.3 ICS build.
few days?
already over ten days.

he said may not will, there is a vast difference, why are people so eager to get ics, its almost as tho people expect ics to magically fix things

When you see the leaked rom`s off the S2, ICS is hammered to death by touchwiz visually. That`s realy a shame
does native ICS allow for permanent landscape mode in ALL screens?

Are there any GB AOSP ROMs at least? After coming from HTC Sensation, TouchWiz is really irriatting.
EDIT: Sense used to be awesome, hence laggy. TouchWiz is laggy for no reason :-/

Good point. It is too bad nobody picked up the torch and started running CM7 nightlies for the Note. I love the CM9 alpha build (ran it as my daily for weeks). Switched back to an LA4 based ROM because I needed the camera one day. I don't see the SPen apps as all that big of a deal. Not when there are better alternative apps on the market that work just fine with the s pen. So it goes.
ICS is much more than eye candy and yes, it does just magically fix things. Lag? What is lag? The official ICS from Samsung with TouchWiz overlaid will suck, but it is necessary to get the drivers for CM9.
I'm sure you've all seen this:

Hopefully we'll get an insider leak soon.

Yup. Exactly what happened with me. If the camera worked with the CM9 alpha build, nothing like it.
I bought the Note only because of its hardware. I would have bought the SII instead of the Sensation, but stopped myself from doing that only because I was against TouchWiz.
Looking forth to it very soon
when it comes out, most will view it as overrated. most phones (especially the Note) is already serving its purpose, and so much more. i think ICS is more promising to tablets than it is to phones.
I am new to this so forgive my ignorance, but when ics comes out does that mean all the existing custom Roms are then outdated?

can't wait no longer for ICS... Rocket all the way...
Recently I went from CM7 to MIUI,my cm7 rom probably wasn't in the best condition, more upgrades and kernel revision than I could count on 20 hands, so I decided to switch over to MIUI backed up all my same apps etc, usage habits have not changed a bit.
On cm7 it was pretty common to change out my battery just after arriving to school (lengthy train commute) now on arrival it is on 45% with exactly the same usage.
So I guess it's worth a complete reinstall no matter what ROM you're using.
Sent from my Optimus 2X using Tapatalk 2 Beta-4
What is the question exactly?
If you are asking about rom, I am not a fan of cm7/miui. There is some pretty good stock based roms (django manouche, rebuild of v20q, civato, gueste) which with combination of kernels (spica, gueste) gives me 2 days of battery. So, if you are a hard user, it should last at least a day.
There is no question

You didn't really need to change ROMs I guess. You could've just reformatted, then reflash back to CM7 right?
Yes, although im not sure if MIUI just inherently has better battery life or if my old cluttered ROM was responsible. They're both more or less based off the same thing though.
Sent from my Optimus 2X using Tapatalk 2 Beta-4
Yes I think Mungulz's OP is understandable if you're not looking at it as a question.
When I read it I understood that the message was that instead of just flashing the updates over the old system that it is best to do a complete wipe and a complete ROM flash. Right Mungulz?
That's how I like to do it anyways Backup important apps and totally wipe the sucker!
cm7 - a well oiled machine
miui - eye candy
stock based roms - a mixed bag of god knows what, some good, some bad (but more bad..)
personally i love cm7 cuz of the many settings

i thinkt that original ICS isn't coming to OB. While LG says that it does.
but i just can't believe it, just a hunch..
guessing that android 5 will be more and better i think it's going to be to much for our OB's hardware.
Android 5 is comming waaaaaay to early

Well as per leaks I have seen so far...Google will be revealing nexus tab at Google IO and jellybean would be version 4.1 not 5.
I|0 is going to anounce it later this month, and yes, I think JB would be 4.1, kinda like Froyo was 2.2 and GB 2.3
I know we are far from having Jelly Bean on our Optimus Black since we are barely receiving ICS 4.0.4, but i was wondering if it is possible to have a stable release Android 4.1???
Is our device ready and capable for the Jelly Bean??

Well we both know that LG may never update our OB to Jelly Bean, what I want to know is that if someone would decide to port Jelly Bean to our device, would it support it?
Sorry for the bad english...
Jelly Bean Android system has been successfully ported to hardwer . weaker than the LG unit OB , porting is not so far from being perfect but our OB LG is ready for this system but the official from LG do not wait

well i think they will update our black since it is a high end device plus jelly beans is just an updated version of ics that means in 4.1 the bugs are solved which were in ics thats all so we will get ics so dont worry and dont make the other members to worry :laugh::laugh:

Jelly bean can be built or ported
I don't think we will have JB

Yeah, that´s correct, OB id midlle end device.
Low end ? Ob are in the same level as Samsung galaxy S and Nexus S... In my opinion.
Well I didn't want to worry other members, I'm just telling that I feel like there's not much support from developers to our OB, that's all... And I'm nobody to say that, it's just a feeling...

how great you people don't know the difference between low end , mid end, and high end.................................ok here it goes at the moment cored core and dual core devices is at the top also known as high end devices, the single core devices are at the mid range devices and the phone like 300mh ,600mh etc are considered as low end phones or transitional phone or entry level smart phone......
when lg released black and 2x they were considered as high end devices there fore we can demand android update from lg because that is our right hope you people got it

It's hard. Kitkat is meant to work in low memory devices, like ours, but this doesn't mean it is meant to work on old devices! There will be in the next years new devices with low memory and with kitkat. (mainly in developing countries) Our only hope is that the penguins do their magic.. Wait and see..

(which hopefully tast good for our phone )
I think also if tony find some free time he will work on it, too.
Our masters could make it to boot but it would be very hard to make all the things work(atleast some of them) but as it can take a very long time I don't think they want to work on it. It would be awesone if the devs unite in a team and help eachother to bring kitkat for our beloved mobile but lets hope this will happend!

with my expierence all builds goes kinda 6 month till trully stable versin, allways is some little things what keep carsh phone, like it was from 2.3 to Android 4.0, and to 4.2.
exsample, when take photo camera crash, under 15% battery phone turn off, strange unwanted random restarts etc.....
Is possible, because Android 4.4 consumes a little resources and was tested in a Motorola Defy, and runs great the beta version of CM10.3! (with bug obviously)
4.4 is Exciting.hehe
Heh heh.
KitKat will be useless because our phone doesn't support NEON and we don't have much RAM. So most of the features in Kitkat will not function properly on our phone. It's just my thought
kit kat in 512 Ram . i doubt it
