Does anyone one want to hel me make a kernel for the nexus one that alows user controlled undervolting and over volting i would like it to be based if of the kgoneok ultimateS kernel because i love tge speed of the kernel i just dont know much about kernel development.

I just installed tegrak overlocking on my sgs fone. Pls help me what settings will i use. im running android 2.3.3. pls help
You need a kernel that supports overclocking. For values just look in the Glitch-kernel-thread. And I prefer 'Voltage Control'.

hi. i saw the thread. WOW too techy for me. i dont know where to start and what to look for
Just look at the values.

i dont know what is my rom? if cvm or maui? i mean cm
Go to Settings -> About phone then you'll see what's your ROM.
how will i know if im CM7 or maui as my fone doesnt say so
errrr if you're talking about the tegrak overclocking app, it does overclocking by itself without the need for a custom kernel or other app. that is its purpose *facepalm*
Try set OC to 1.2 GHz and see how that goes. if it makes the phone reboot/not work properly, click on "optimisation" and increase the voltage value for 1200 a little bit (ie. 25 or 50 mv). You can apply the same principles when attempting higher GHz too.
actually ive installed voltage control but it says my fone's kernel does not support voltage control. What kernel will i install so i can overclock my fone. Pls see below my firmware:
Firmware version: 2.3.3
Baseband version: I9000 XXJVO
Kernel Version: 2.6.35.7-i9000XWJVH-CL184813
Build Number: GINGERBREAD.XWJVO
@oswade i followed your instructions. my fone did not boot at 1.2 ghz. what does it mean?
by the way i read from other thread that stock kernel cant be overclocked that i need a custom kernel for overclocking? if this is true then installing tegrak overclock is useless except for custom kernel?

Yes, you need a custom kernel.
And be sure to have the kernel cleaning script on your sdcard to, it can provide flashing if you have made sh*t.

Thanks Lunchbox!! However i find it complicated and im scared to do it. i guess ill be needing a tutor for this.
Tank u very much!

Why?
You lookbfor a kernel that fits your firmwareversion and that supports oc. You have to flash this kernel via Odin oder CWM (there are always installation instructions in each kernel-thread). Then you download 'Voltage Control' out of the market, set your CPU frequency and you are done.

Hello, mine is not a technical question (i know how to undervolt), I'd like to know what ICS kernel allows me to undervolt the cpu. Can't find one..

Tegrak app should allow that, it injects a module into any kernel (most are supported)
thank you, but it does not work with criskelo.. what kernel do you suggest?
Try voltage control.

I have installed Voltage control and setcpu, no one works if kernel doesn't support undervolting.
Hello, Im trying JellyBam rom with thor kernel and I want to ask how correctly and with less risk overclock GPU? What max mhz is and what voltages needs? I want overclock it, because on SlimBean with hydracore kernel games was little bit laggy, like GTA VC runs about 25-40FPS, MC4 runs about 35-30FPS. My S2 with SlimBean and dorimanx kernel GTA VC runs 40-55FPS on highest graphics :/ I want to squeeze as more as I can performance on games with my Note but not burn it ^^
Are you using the HydraCore the overclocked version?
We can't discuss that kernel in these forums, I'd you want support for gpu overcooking you'll need to install a compliant kernel. Reported.

I used hydracore OC version, Now Im using jellybam and thor kernel. And why we can discuss about thor kernel? Its not legal or what? It made some terroerists? or Maybe some people that hates USA? FBI will kill us all?
Thread closed.
That kernel is non GPL complient and so is treated as warez by XDA. I will not hand out warnings/infractions as OP obviously didn't know it is wrong to discuss this but please do not continue the discussion.
Thanks,
Jonny
Hey,
I am a New member.

Hello
Refreshing topic, I'm looking to overclock the GPU kernel for gt-i9305 android 4.1.2 stock rom samsung. I'm currently using kernel 3.4 and yank is good, but I would like to tweak the gpu more. Perseus kernel reboots my device non-stop.
Please help me.

Unfortunately, for me is worse than yank the kernel, moreover, did not see in him the option to overclock the gpu, so eliminated. I wonder why I have bootloop Kernel Perseus*?

thanks man, with this application kernel works great. You do not know what value can the gpu can tweak in our i9305*?
Best one for me is agni kernel manage to undervolt my cpu to -100mV and gpu to -50mV and by me it has the best app to Oc (build in).
I've been looking around the forums and probably would want to flash some kernels soon. Is there any CPU control app that most HTC one users are using? I would like to try some of the GPU and voltage settings. Probably flashing elementalX kernel.

Hi,
[APP][HTCONE] Trickster MOD [Kernel Settings and Tweaks]... Works graet with all the custom kernel's here and support almost all the features coming from the custom kernel's (ElementalX, teamSeven) like thermal settings, logo2menu, s2w, overclock, underclock, CPU/GPU governor, etc... (except (currently) for some features from Faux123 kernel for the One).
+1 for TricksterMod, seems to work best with the custom kernels for the One.

As the others have said you can use Trickster MOD, but I also recommend trying faux's kernel with the faux kernel enhancment app. Both are great!
