hi,
i recently rooted my phone. then deleted all of the system apps while trying to move some applications to SD! notifications started to pop up on my screen a lot, so i pulled the battery to reboot. now all i get is the samsung screen, loading up and then repeating over and over again.
can this be fixed?
thanks for any help in advance, i really want my phone back!

first decide whether you want to install stock rom or any custom rom.. Stock is stable whereas custom roms have more performance
Just reflash the rom you had then make a backup before deleting stuff. If you had a stock rom then use Odin, go to sammobile.com all the stuff you need is there.

Hello all just picked up a note and have a few questions. When i received it, it was already rooted running an ICS rom and CF kernel 5.3. I am not sure what rom the phone is running, would I be able to unroot and restore back to stock and then flash the rom of my choice? Or can i simply flash another rom in CWR after wiping? Is there a certain kernel i need? Ive seen so many threads for bricked notes and counters and triangles...my eyes are popping. If anyone can offer any help id be very thankful. Id love my note to feel as close to my stock SG3 as possible, if anyone can recommend a rom or a method please let me know.

If you are one KL3 then you can just root your phone and flash any Rom you want...if not..you have degrade your phone to KL3 and flash on it...
I would recommend Crash...its GS3 launcher and music player...with cool animations and pretty fast too...

Can anyone recommend a stock ROM and whatever other files needed (firmware/recovery, etc.) to return a used N7000 to stock?
I'm on my way to buying one from someone and probably will test out the CM10 installed on it, but in case it isn't very stable I want to return to the stock ROM.
I'm not a complete noob, but I know there are particularities to each device, and trying to figure out if it's as simple as finding the latest stock ROM posted here on the forum and flashing that with ODIN or whatever...
Thanks.
You can give a try to gingerbread.and then can flash cm10.and can return back also to stock.
I wouldnt Recommend you ics.

It's got CM10 installed already and I will test that out first. Why wouldn't you recommend stock ICS? I mainly want it because I want Touchwiz and also because I want the phone to be ready for the Jelly Bean OTA update when it comes out and don't want to keep flashing ROM-s all the time and losing my stuff or having to back sh!t up

What about the root and recovery? Do I need to be stock completely to prepare for the OTA?
yes for OTA you need to have stock ROM.
You can directly flash latest ROM, so at least you need not to go for OTA soon.

You can get the ota update even if you are rooted but you cant install it
You need to be on stock kernel and unrooted to get the ota installed
After you get an ota update, you can unroot your phone, then download and install the ota update

Not true.. You indeed have to have stock kernel/rom/recovery but superuser/supersu are just apks.. So you can update being rooted and pray the process doesn't unroot your device.. But it won't prevent the ota upgrade

So, if I flash the stock ROM will that also unroot it and install the stock recovery? Or are these separate steps?

Flashing stock ROM will return it fully to stock. Cwm and root will be removed.

Hi everyone
I have just gotten a Samsung galaxy mini. I rooted it and unlocked it okay.
But then I wanted to flash rom and stuff, so I downloaded Odin, and flashed cwm, but... When Odin says pass, it press home + power and the Samsung screen flashed twice and sticks.
But the strangest thing is that it can still boot into android sometimes.
I am on android 2.2.1
iBook anybody can help as it is worrying me a lot
before flashing rom or CWM you will need to upgrade to gingerbread either through odin or Kies
and then flash cwm and after that flash rom with cwm
Thanks for the reply
I can't seem to upgrade via kies, can you provide a link that contains stock Roms for my samsung that can be upgraded via Odin.
Is there any chance of bricking at all?
Do you need any other info?
Thanks

Yes, originaly there was Froyo. After flashing to GB, CWM started to work. Before there was only black screen when I pressed HOME+POWER

just flash any custom rom now, you don't need root for that and most of custom roms are pre-rooted

You will still be able to use CM 10/CM10.1....forgot to tell you that...you can use the GB in as you are in Old bootloader and GB partition.
But, can I ask you why you want to swtich over? If it is to return the device, then google V10 Stock ROM NVFlash from Paul from Modaco site. That will be a perfect GB Stock ROM without any extra effort and also the old boot loader+GB partition all in one go.
You can also try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1472515 Civato makes almost near to Stock ROM and perfectly smooth&stable.
Hope this helps you and maybe you can PM if you need any more help.

Procedure performed by toolkit to return to the old bootloader, first time I had problems to fix internal sd because the computer did not recognize the phone then redid the procedure of putting in place the CWM and TWRP then worked, after I installed the rom v20q by smartflashtool and now have a mobile fast again! \ o /
Thank you for your help and patience.
Dear all XDA Developers
i have samsung galaxy note n7000, after we got the official JB update the device went to be so slow, so i choosed to downgrade it to ICS and i download the sogtware image from (www.samsung-updates.com) as i told it should be official software images.
and i downloaded the ODIN v3.09 for pc, connect the phone and install, it fiinished successfully, AFTER that i start to got the error, the phone shutdown suddenley and got the screen said "RST_STAT 0x2000000 User Fault, not kernel panic, upload mode"
i tried to install again and still have the same error the it is random no specific time, then i download and install the Philz and wipe the phone as for install a new ROM and install the same image then got the same error after two days.
my request is how to solve this problem and where to download an official ICS for my GT-N7000
i hope to find the solution here in XDA developers
best regards
No one can help??!!!!
Is this issue so difficult and there is no solution or any idea about solving it??
It depends on how you choose. Going your path back to official ics could be problematic. So i would just go forward install a custom jb rom such as Aryamod then the problem is solved and u will have a beautiful and fast rom. Done.

Also, stock ics is known to brick phones.
as i got the official JB via update the device is too slow, so would that problem solved when installing a custom rom? and which rom should i choose? and the problem now is with the device hardware? or just the ics??
as i searched before it on the internet i found that this is a GPS problem!! how can i check that please??

1stly, After getting JB update from OTA, it's recommended to do a factory wipe in stock recovery (This is what Samsung CS told me). I tried and it works (at the expense of having all my data n apps gone).
2nd, Like @forest1971 says, there's many good custom Roms And you can choose per your liking. I strongly oppose going back to ICS as of the brick bug threat. If you really want to downgrade, might as well go for GB.
3rd, WHAT is the point of our good Dev's spending their precious time and cracking their heads to come up with a custom rom IF they are not BETTER than Stock roms?

Installing through odin is the best method for flashing stock rom. You have done it right. Just remember NEVER to do a factory reset anywhere with ICS. Not even in recovery
