Well I've got some good news and bad news ....good news is GingerZaraki will return ...I've settled the issues with HAKA ...bad news, it'll have to wait till the end of this month...I just couldn't find the heart to abandon a project after so many people kept PM-ing me after it's "disappearance" ...

How to become a developer?

Hey guys.. I start this thread to see where do you know all what you know about phone developing... Maybe that's your passion? Maybe you learn all from school? Or by internet? I'm young (15 years old) and i like all rom for our ace, I'm really surprised for what some dev are doing (like Maclaw, but not only) and i like mobile world in general .. I'd like to become a dev... For now what i can do is modify some Rom managing on their zip and add or remove app.. Odin, how to root and install recovery and Rom is easy for me..

U need to know basic thing first ... like what app does what ... how to change it ...
how to root, how to flash, know how to compile and decompile, some adb ...

I've running my own rom, and hi got some mods of my own, some theming from other members, my own tweaks, and its been a great adventure and i only own an android since November and i am no genius or great developer, but i am really curious, and I'm only five year older than u!
All u have to do is search, ask, and LEARN
go for it!

And Experience helps u more

Today i would like to look for a few devs who would like to collaborate with me to create a ROM based on v20x(x=Something)
The ROM,
Will be fully tweaked.
And,
SHALL AIM TO BE A HIGH BENCHMARKER IN ANTUTU

And with all due respect we have enough gingerbread based roms, so if you have skill join FOP and help them with CM9.

Here should be posted just the results of development.
And if you need so much devs, this would be a rom with many modifications.
But we get official ics in a couple of months. And if not, fop is stable soon too.
So it really doesn't make sense.

No, and no. There's not any 4.2.2 Touchwiz Rom at this time, some people says we will not have the update, some other say "yes" but next year... The only thing you can do right now is wait until any official news. Good luck and please, next time, use Q&A Forum.

You're asking people here as if we are samsung's manufactures.. Isnt it easier to search for it in sammobile's website in the firmwares section rather than wasting time creating a thread on the wrong forum and not getting the correct answers?

Do you want an answer?
No, you cant have TW 4.2.2 rom in your Note, you can't port it, you can't flash it from another phone (you can, but you will brick your phone). You cant do anything.
Reason?
To get a booteable ROM, you need to port S4 Bootloader and Kernel first, its imposible due to hardware differences. Now, imagine if we have a Bootloader and Kernel already ported: You will get a ROM with a lot of force closes, battery drain, slow, and totally unstable. So why you want it? Wait to a new leak and stop doing these stupid questions in the wrong forum without the damn [Q] before the Title!

To clear things up, please don't open threads asking for development of ROM's. If you really want a new ROM you can PM a Dev. Second, please don't demand things. The guys who create these ROM's also have lives of their own and it takes a lot of effort to create these ROM's.
If you think there are some lags or other bugs in a current ROM, just report it in the ROM thread. It may help you.

is it fine i mean is it stable and performant and is the ram consumption not very high

As far as I remember it was rock stable, customisable to the bone, and the ram consumption was like, for example, like Maclaws CM9.

already but found that it becomes laggy after installation almost 10 to 15 apps
even though thanks for advice

CM9 & up aren't remotely supposed to perform as great as stock. Bcoz they weren't meant to be running on ace at the first place. It was our awesome devs that even built 4.3 for us. So if you are using them, just don't complain, use it the way they are. Especially on an armv6 800MHZ qualcomm device.:screwy:
