run the downgrade script and flash the ruu from this page: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1705913
it will downgade your hboot and put gingerbread back on. then you can ota to the newest update and sent it back for warranty.
all you need to do is follow section 1 from that guide. dont do the s off bit ;p
make sure your running a custom rooted rom like cm7 or icecold sandwich and usb debugging is enabled.

Can radios be flashed with UF at anytime now with an update.zip?
Also where is a zip file for the 2.15 radio or is there anyone willing to share? It's not the same as the evo's is it?
Sent from my ADR6300 using Tapatalk
To flash:
1. Place PB31IMG.zip to root of SD card
2. Power down phone
3. Press volume down and power at same time
4. It will ask to update...press volume UP for yes
5. It will ask for reboot...press volume UP for yes
Once done...enjoy.

It already saves it as PB31IMG.zip....so just move it to root and go on with process.
That's for the splash and does not update radio. I've installed that and the update.zip and still have 2.05

I honestly don't know what I'm doing wrong, i have the pb31img.zip(radio update) on root of sd did the whole power down and power on with volume(down) and when i get to hboot it has
fastboot
recovery
clear storage
simlock
after 2 seconds or so it does this:
sd checking...
loading...pb31diag.zip
no image
loading...pb31diag.nbh
no image or wrong image
loading...pb31img.zip
no image
loading...pb31img.nbh
no image or wrong image
so does anyone know what the problem is?

Make sure the sdcard is formatted as fat32 and that the zip name is exactly "PB32IMG.zip", exact casing and make sure also that its not .zip.zip
OK i just reformatted the sd card to FAT32 and the file i downloaded was PB31IMG, i don't have an extra .zip, that's common mistake for me to do so it was first thing to check. ok so that fixed it. i must not have had it formatted correctly, its whatever it was stock
edit: mrozzeh and the rest of the unrevoked team, i would like to say thank you, and thanks for the personal help too.

Anytime. (10 characters blah)
Hold the optical pad and the power button...not the vol down key and give it a shot
Radio update isn't working for me. Saved PB31IMG.zip to the root of my FAT32formatted SD card, rebooted, it found the PB31IMG.zip file, went though the loading process, got the point where it said "checking" and then went back to the menu without loading the update. I've downloaded the radio update twice with the same results. I currently have the 2.05.00.06.11 radio but have not yet installed s -off. Do I need to do that first?
Any other suggestions?
EDIT: Nevermind, I installed the unrevoked forever s -off patch and the radio update seems to be installing now.
EDIT 2: Radio update updates kernal to .32 correct?

1. You have to get go to the bootloader in you phone (tackball+vol-down+power) , when connected to your computer and then run blackrose from your computer.
2. Then you have to update the Blackrose partition table sizes to match that which is required by BCM ICS. Refer this thread for that:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1366897
Btw, have you partitioned your SD card to have an sd-ext?

ok fine. so u have to start from beginning.
first head over to blackrose thread in dev section and download the files. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1270589
turn on usb debugging in ur fone
connect ur phone to pc while the phone is booted normally.
open the downloaded folder and run blackrose.exe and follow the on screen instructions. then blackrose will be installed in ur phone.
nw u need to change ur hboot as per the rom that u r going to flash.
u can do that by using blackrose.exe itself or u can follow this thread for easily changing hboot via recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1637166

how do i create the sd-ext file?

you can partition ur sd card in recovery or else you can partition it wid a pc using software like MINITOOL PARTITION WIZARD. remember to back up ur data before partitioning.
wat recovery are u using? use 4ext.
its best to have 1 gb ext. you can search for it in youtube

Sorry , you wont be able to install custom roms without unlocking the bootloader .
I dont think you can install custom roms directly through fastboot, you will need a custom recovery(like CWM) which again needs bootloader to be unlocked.
Rooting does not really affect your SIM, and if you are scared it wil damage your SIM you can just keep it out during rooting.
Rooting is really, really worth it.

Hi,
I'm hoping someone here can give me some advice please.
I bought my son a new carrier unlocked HTC Sensation XL. It came with Android 2.3.5 (Gingerbread). For the first week it worked perfectly. A message popped up saying there was an update and did he want to install it. He left it on all night with Wi-Fi enabled. Next morning it said update successfully completed and to restart the phone (which he did).
The first most obvious thing he noticed was the interface had changed. I checked the settings and found it had updated to ICS 4.0.3. This is when the problems started. The phone began to restart over and over.
In desperation we tried removing the battery and doing a factory reset. It made no difference. Once the phone was on for about 20 seconds it would restart and not stop until we turned off the phone or the battery went dead.
We even tried the hard reset as suggested by HTC support but no change.
Any suggestions as to how we might fix this?
Is there any way we can get the phone to reset back to 2.3.5 or do we have to send it back to where we bought it from?
cheers

Would require rooting the phone and installing recovery? The phone is still under warranty but as it was bought online I was hoping not to have to send it back. At the moment it is still stock and I'd prefer not to to do anything that will void warranty.

Well first of all you need to know what your cid is and download right ruu/stock rom.
Then just plug your phone in to computer when fully rebooted(usb-debug on) and run downloaded gingerbread exe.

If you have debugging enabled just get adb for your computer, open command line, cd to the directory of adb the execute 'abd getvar cid' and get your cid, then go online and find the ruu that suits your cid and phone, the run it on windows and just follow the prompts!
And done!

thats what i'm saying, i can't update my hboot, i tried all the posible ways and it stays on 1.25
Try this
Download ESfile Explorer from Play Store and go to settings and then root settings and give it root privileges. Once thats done go to root of phone and go to /system/etc and find a file called vold.fstab and open it with a text editor and find this line
dev_mount sdcard /mnt/sdcard 34 /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.2/mmc_host
now for 1.25 hboot you will need to change where it says 34 to 33
