i saw those, i dont think those are legit OEM HTC batteries....
I've had mine for awhile and easily get through a day with a single charge. So legit or not they work. Stock battery I'd be lucky to make past lunch some days

I ordered it, 100% legit. It's a great upgrade for the phone. While it does look thicker, it's feel is actually better. You can easily get a full day out of this battery with heavy use. I purchased it as a 'when I need my phone all day' kinda battery. No worries.
Only thing is the back bezel doesn't come with the metal around the headphone jack. But the case is OEM.
Ultimately do what makes you comfortable. Just thought I'd share my experience. Everyone on these forums have been so helpful to me thought I'd put my 2 cts in. I was a little skeptical too. Battery is red and says HTC (easy enough to do) but received in 2 days and couldn't be happier. 2 best things about are not having to have an ugly hump and no longer having to hear my brother (ex iPhone user) ***** about the terrible battery life. So in short 2 people very happy with these.

I actually should have went with it to try it out, but i had already ordered the 2150. i actually like thicker phones, i cant stand thin phones, on my old g1 i used to have one of those like 3500 batteries and it was huge lol.
my friend has an inc and i know he wont want to get a thicker battery, so ill have him order the one you got. thanks for the review on it btw.
This battery is so worth the money. Got it last night, charged it (bump charged it) and been unplugged since 830am, and 7hrs later and I'm at 63%. Id be dead already on the stock battery.

Too expensive! You can get a cheap one off ebay, probably are the same OEM. Battery Left or Battery Calibrator.
Does this thing stick out? Or can you use the standard battery door, along with standard cases?

Nope, actually the Mugen battery was more expensive from ebay. And those cheap ones are crap so not even worth the shipping cost.

No, it fits under the standard cover. Tighter fit but it fits.
Have now charged it 3 times and it seems like the battery time is at least 22% longer. Usually I would charge my battery during night and use it during the day. At best it would die when i turn on the screen in the morning if I would have forgot to charge it. But usually it dies around 6 in the evening. So lets say it lasts 12-18 hours in normal use.
The Mugen battery charged during the night lasts for 18-24 hours. So I'm pretty satisfied ;-)

At least 12 hours. I would say around 18 with the latest CyanogenMod 7.1.0 RC13 11.08.14 and things like logging etc. shut off.

So besides its look, what does every expect from its lifetime.
I bought a second hand note about 6 months old and the new batterys from ebay were just as good if not better than the original hence im thinking a 6500ma battery would see possible 2 full days of heavy use? perhaps 4 of light use.. I hope they bring out the 12000ma extended battery

I prefer to buy another original or anker battery with a double charger for 30 bucks and put it the second in the wallet than use this extended in the phone.
I would rather get a second official battery than have this monstrosity destroy the look of my phone

I think you are all missing the point of this battery.
I was in Thailand with the arduos task of taking 3000 photos on my note. My small batterys didnt last that long and was also hard to grip. The big phone with big battery was far superior. Obviously it destroys the look but for usability it is amazing.
Can we keep comments to the use of thos battery, not the look it will give the phone.. Ovbviously its not a fashion accesory **** guys
I can see its usefulness, that's for sure. I just think the company could have worked on the execution a bit better. But no doubt, if you need a long life battery, it should do the trick.

Cheap no brand batteries are NEVER as good as the quality OEM products. I'll reserve judgement on this thing until someone's reported on its actual performance.
That is a good find.
I'll definitely buy one before taking a trip/vacation.
It'll be a very handy if not a life saver.

I don't understand why you these extended battery case makers make a lump,
rather than just making the entire case that thick. (maybe needing a bigger hole for the camera.
It'd look much nicer.

I have a problem. when i recharge my phone from 1% to 39% without using the phone. it just stop recharging and discharge instead.. to 36% . i rebooted the phone to restart recharging and i lost -14% so it have 22% left. when my battery got 50% and i reboot one more. the battery got glitched and get +30% more power so it have 80%. i don't know what's going on with the battery. my phone is rooted and i lost warranty... what to do?
normally the battery should not give itself 20-30% more power or lose power when reboot.
UPDATE: My battery is a little bit swollen now. i'm gonna to buy the new battery.

sounds like it's time for a battery replacement to me. something similar happened to me about 6 months ago and a new battery fixed it

You could also find yourself some batteries on Ebay. Found mine on it, it's been working perfectly ever since. Don't wait until some kind of accident happens.

That's right, there are a few original ones on EBay. But I think if you want the smallest chance on a fake battery, you better look at the phone stores themself.

yeah... i never use ebay before but i had heard that some people got fake iphone 4s / 5 bought from ebay so that's why i don't trust ebay. i always buy items in my local store (not online) that i trust. that's all

I try not to buy from people with less than a few successful sales. On the other hand, I tend to trust people with hundred of thousands of successful sales, and basically never regret my purchase. But you're absolutely right when you buy from your localstore. At least you don't need to wait weeks before you get your product Anyway, i'll stop talking about Ebay as it's not the main topic

The G2 is over 2 years old now and still kicking for a lot of us, but the battery life has gotten pretty poor. I think a lot of us would be interested in buying a new OEM battery (seems like it is the same for all models) but there's a lot of fakes out there.
If you know where to buy an OEM battery for a reasonable price please post here, maybe with price+shipping.

Dont Know, My Phone is always heated means like i can fry an egg on it,and Battery is terrible,if i charge 100% at night,it will shut down in morning.

Mine almost 1.5 years-old with custom rom, battery is still enough for 1 day, sometimes even more. No big change comparing to what I got at the beginning, so I guess battery is still fine.

Be it Any rom(stock,cloudy,cm) and without a case,my wifi and bt stopped working and this battery problem,so it is complete useless now..

I had the same thing happen with two G2 batteries from etradesupply on amazon. Not that they're a disreputable company; it's just that I think it really was a hardware issue that arose after year. Second G2 + that new battery worked fine.

Hey guys. I think I understand what's going on with these batteries.
It's hard to distinguish between true oem vs cheap aftermarket.
My good battery died last week and won't charge.
Now I'm also in the same boat.
Like replacement screens, we also need a good source for batteries. Wish LG sold direct
