cannot recive sms on my sensation xl, but i can send sms well, i tried my sms in an old mobile and there it works, but when i mount it back in my htc, i cant again recive sms, my phone is running ICS but had changed the sms app to Android 4.1 JB Messaging SMS and it is justed to work but now it dont work
what to do
my phone is running insanely cool sense v2.2.1 if that helps
and after i tryed another phone and went back to my lovely htc it cannot find any signal
now i had found a tempory way to send sms, i used an old backup when my phone worked with that rom and then it works again, but at the same time i installed the update to the sms app the whole think died agian, installed the backup again and now i dont install the update... but why dont it work ?
Think so the JB sms app doesnt wrk with the mobile radio

Also kindly do double check msg center number.
With JB sms app installed, use alternative msging to send and receive a sms. If tat work then there is some prob with the JB sms app..

if i use the old jb sms app then all works great, also with other sms apps, but if i update the jb sms app to the new one all goes down and i can only send sms and not receive sms, i had checked the msg center config and number and it is all the same with the old and the new jb app.

Guys i have a problem...i think my simcard is bad cuz when i try to send an sms it wouldnt go but in normal messaging app. When i set the sms center number then messages are being sent and also inn the *#*#4636#*#* menu..when i try to refresh or update my smsc number it always gives me refresh error or update error....but in my old g1 if i set it then messaging would work normally even from chompsms and other applications
Could someone try refreshing or updating the smsc present in the device information and tell if its working or not pls?
P.s 3g n voice calls are ok.using overcome latest rom and kernel and an international tab.

I'm using Go SMS and I'm very satisfied but there is a bug : notifications for sms are not reseted when I read them unless I launch stock sms app.
That's why I'd like to replace stock sms by google sms app, maybe it'll work ! Also, I assume it will be lighter than lg stock sms app but maybe I'm wrong.
Anyway, can someone give me the google sms apk ? Can't find it ...
Hi guys, would it be possible to supply the HTC messages apk? I'm currently on CM7 and I'm using Go SMS Pro but seem to have some problems with messages. I really liked using it back on stock and it never caused a problem. Or maybe you could recommend me another sms/mms app that works.
It is not possible to use the HTC Messaging app (or as a matter of fact, ANY HTC app) on a Non-Sense rom.
These apps require the Sense framework.
What problems exactly are u facing in Go SMS? I used to use it, and never faced any kind of problem.
Whenever I reboot my DHD i get a notofication that I have all my messages unread.
my x8 will not send or receive text after install gingerbread. installed new sim card, phone says text sent but it isnt. any help on this??
What rom are using and are you using the default msg app? and are you able to make and receive phone calls?

i am using the cm7 mod. the phone works on everything but text. i got a new sim card just to be sure. i also deleted the mod and reinstalled but it still the same prob..its like something is turned off??
i do not have a msg listed under system/data

called tech support at at t and surprise they could not find a reason for no text. as soon as they hung up a miracle happen and my x8 can send and rec text. im just saying!!!

I know sms are not that used anymore, but you know if there's a way for setting HTC Sensation XL with ROM ViperS 3.1.4 (android 4.1.1) for having sms shown in a classical way and not like chats?
Or if there's not a setting, if you know an app... I've always used Pansi sms but now it's always crashing...
